When will you guys have the Mustad trout series float on the website?
In my opinion, it's amazing that trout have such simple anatomy. They've always been very easy for me to clean.
crappie too
Most fish are easy to clean
@@SnailHatan to clean sure but to eat that's a different story
These tutorials never get old wish school was like this🤙
Duuuuude! Tag end split shots for the snaggs! That's sick, so flippin cool! That's awesome
Great tutorials! It was decades since I've been fishing but now that I have my own kids, I started taking them. I had to relearn how to fish again and your videos have been a huge help. Thank you and keep up the great work, its been very, very helpful.
I've really wanted to get back to fishing (haven't fished since I was a kid) and your video's have helped me remember and learn how to fish and enjoy the days catch! Thanks Man!
Awesome video man! Thanks so much. As an avid angler of near 30 years, I still like to watch your channel and pick up on things, especially when I'm getting skunked lol. I have never seen anyone use split shots on the tag end as a Carolina Rig cheat! I had a few thoughts geared toward brand new anglers while watching your vid, and I'd like to just leave them here for whoever it may help. 1) There's nothing wrong with how that Rainbow was handled, but nets are really, really great for you and the fish. This was a catch clean cook video, so no big deal, but if you are NOT planning on killing your catch, you should avoid handling trout, specifically,as much as possible. Ideally, a trout you plan to release should be netted, and remain in the net AND in the water while the hook is removed, and be returned quickly to the water to reduce stress and chance of death after release. 2) Trout like to SWALLOW Powerbait on Baitholder hooks! If you are NOT planning on killing whatever is on the other end of your line, either use a circle hook instead of a baitholder hook, or don't use Powerbait. It's not too often I've had to pull a spinner's treble hook or a jig hook from deep in a trout's throat, and they are arguabley more fun ways to fish. 3) The cleaning method shown here is effective, but there is an alternative way to know. I bleed my fish(immediately after catching) while it is belly up by inserting my knife through the gills and cutting the main artery in its throat. Then I cut along the belly like in the video. Then, I push down against the tongue to insert my knife point in the membrane under the jaw from the bottom of the fish. I cut through the skin so I can grab the tongue from the OUTSIDE of the mouth(still belly up.) Pull down. Toward the tail and all of the guts and gills will come away in one shot! Then run your thumb along the kidney(the bloodline against the spine) as shown in the video and wish out the cavity and bam! Done. 4) IF YOU DON'T LIKE SLIME, STOP TRYING TO WASH IT OFF. DRY THE FISH INSTEAD. Dry it with paper towel and keep it dry while you clean it. Fish will CONTINUE to make slime as long as they get wet, even if they are dead! It's their immune system. 5) Finally, my trout recipe is SPG, fried in butter in a pan, and lemon juice near the end(throw those squeezed lemon slices in the pan for good measure). Pro tip: if you cut the head and/or tail off before cooking, you can easily see the meat in the cavity change color as it cooks. It will become more white, and that white meat should rise up toward the middle as each side cooks. That's a good way to know when to flip it! As a rule of thumb, 5 mins/side on med-high heat. Trout is best enjoyed NOT overcooked, and if you like crispy skin, pan fry it, don't wrap it in foil, because the foil traps the steam and prevents the skin from crisping up! Tight lines everyone!
I just realized that Jordan’s body is completely affected by fishing patterns. Hes gotten pretty thin this summer, probably from all the hiking and fishing there is to be done and he looked a little heavier in the winter/spring vids. Just like a fish. Happens to me too; always difficult to stream fish with an ice fishing body come mud season 😂
Haha are you implying this is spawned out Jordan? 🤣

Excellent stuff I just found your channel and I love to catch and then eat the trout it’s the best feeling. I’ve been binging your videos gearing up for our season beginning in May. Can’t wait to catch some brook and rainbows and cook them on my Kelly kettle
You know you have good content when even though I already know how to do this, I still watched the video all the way through.
I'm Going Trout Fishing Later This Week, And This Video Is Literally THE Thing That I Needed To Watch Before I Go. Love All Your Video's And Keep Up The Amazing Work!
Thank you so much trout is the only fish I haven't caught yet ! Being self taught by watching you guys I'm out there fishing and I love trout! Cracker Barrel is the only place I've been able to land some lemon pepper trout! Lol! 🤣 Here's hoping your tips will help me! Thank you so much!
100% on point ! EXCEPT, whole baked trout you should run a sharp knife down the natural line on the side of the fish skin after cooking and fold the top up and the bottom down ... zero bones !
Jordan great 'family friendly' video I can show my grandsons. thanks!
Thanks for putting this start to finish tutorial together, I have gone out fishing a few times my entire life but never cough anything and really want to get into fishing and eat my catch. This was probably the best beginner video I have found so far. I will definitely become a subscriber!
Thanks I needed a refresher, I haven't gone fishing at least 8 years.
Going out for the first time this year. I got skunked bad last year. Great video for a refresher and I learned a few things. Wish me luck

Thank you guys so much for this video! Just had a lovely trout that i caught earlier today, and I couldn't have done it without this video
So much information so fast, thanks for this. I'm gonna end up repeating watching this dozens of times, wish me luck.
It’s great to see you guys fishing less popular lakes like lake Merwin resivour.
Your guys’ videos have been phenomenal. I’ve gotten back into angling since I haven’t been fishing since I was like 12. And, I LOVE fishing. I cannot get enough of it now. It’s straight therapy. Cheers from Alaska y’all! (Glad y’all got to experience Alaskan fishing as well! It’s definitely different up here eh?)
Great video just moved to Washington about a year ago from Hawaii and never went fresh water fishing and the cooking method is very similar thank you for the simple and easy way to make a good meal 🤙🏽
Brother I live in PA and fish the Pocono & Allegheny mountain regions. I love what you're doing here especially for the youngsters who don't know how to fully enjoy the great outdoors. Thank you!
Thanks for the great content Jordan. Always stoked when one of the tutorial videos drop.
New to the sport and you made it even more exciting. Thank you, from York, PA!
Just getting back into fishing after 18yrs. Dads getting older and bored after Moms passing in Feb. Figured its a good way to keep him active and for me to just be with him. Just subscribed, love the channel, love fishing for trout.

Awesome video. Got away from trout fishing during Covid, just now getting back to it. Took my kids to the spot we used to fish just the other day for my birthday. It was a blast.
Im at a Colorado lake right now. Just caught two trouts following your steps. Thank you so much!!!
This was probably the most information packed fishing tutorial I’ve seen. Great job!
Lake trout fishing in a week; thanks for an incredible tutorial! Appreciate how you be directed us every step including cooking.
I did not see anything new from this video but absolutely enjoyed the presentation. Jordan just has such showmanship. Keep it up.
I love this dude. He explains everything so simply for my beginner fishing brain. Great vid!
Can’t wait for more trout fishing up here in MA! Love the tutorials guys, rock on 🤘
Very informative my man! I like the way you explain it and break it down step by step!
Yeah, buddy. I’m so stoked to fish for trout. I’ve been doing it since I was a kid. But you are showing me new ways to fish for trout. I live in the Uinta Mountains in Utah, and I plan to fish a lot this year. Thanks for so many good ideas. 👍
That’s the best ghetto Carolina rig I’ve seen to date. Top notch brother
Thank you Addicted for another great tutorial video. I have learned so much from you videos. I share a lot of them to my facebook as well.
I really enjoy a good jack fish. They’re y boned but if you know how to fillet them and get all those bones out, I find then delicious. A catch and a cook yourself is to me very rewarding. Thanks for your video bud. 👍
Great video, I always enjoy the different ways of fishing, and moreso when they show how to clean & cook your catch. Makes me want to grab my gear and go fish! Great tutorial for those that don't know much about knots & tackle. Keep the videos coming, I'm a fan of the channel! Nicely done!
Enjoyable and educational best of both worlds. Great stuff sir.
hands down some of the most enjoyable and informative trout videos on yt
21:32 Thank you. Maybe I'm way too empathetic, but that's hardly a character flaw ;)
Thanks for all the helpful tips🙏🏼👍
Thank you for this awesome video! I'm sad to say that I'm a 57 y/o native Oregonian that really didn't know what he was doing until your videos. Today I caught a nice lunch of a 12" and 13" rainbow. Cleaned them as per this video. Then I even cooked them per this video (with slight adjustment of seasonings). The wife and I love it! The onions in butter are a nice compliment to the trout. Did them up on my pellet grill at 335 deg for about 20 min in foil just as you did. Amazing! May have to go fishing int the morning again as it will be my last chance for some time. Keep up the great work!
Hey brother I love your videos especially close up shot details and explanations it really helps ty!
I'm only a few minutes in and this is already a FANTASTIC video!!! I live right next to a great lake for bass, perch, blue gill and other fish PLUS right next to a bunch of creeks/River type streams. Im about to start fishing again! I want to learn how to cook them again. Been a very long time since I've been a regular fisherman. Should be fun! Thanks for the video!
Always loving these videos thanks so much. Over in Washington state and hoping to catch my first fish!
thank you, gutting and preparing the fish was extremely good info for me.
Love this video, thank you. We have recently moved to the Highlands, Scotland and are getting ready with kids to go trout fishing. This was a great help 🙏🏼👍

Something I wanted to see from the ADX🤜🤛 trout fishing🤙
Excellent video. Good job as always. Can hardly wait for those trout bobbers!!!
We put in a fed trout pond on the property. We got some beautiful tiger trout, brown and speckled.
Bro Nicely done!! Very friendly easy vid with good info! I like how clean you made it right at the water. Happy fishing!
Not a huge fan of eating fish but I do really like trout. Nice mild flavor that takes seasoning really well. Love the videos!
Old Bay, lemon, and butter is my go to, got to try the onion. Usually cook mine right on top of the hot coals at the campfire.
I’m just now getting into fishing at 34 years old and I’ve been doing some serious research. I find that your channel/videos have invaluable information. They’re so in depth and you clearly know your shit. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
My first time fishing ever was at 37. I'm 40. And obsessed 🎣

Great job on everything!
This is my new favorite fishing 🎣 channel
Nice video and fish. Love the Panther Martin.
thanks a bunch man! great info!
Love the advice keep it up 😁
Good job, a well done tutorial.
If you run your knife right under the mouth there’s a a little web like a bottom check, cut that and it looks like another mouth it exposes the tongue and throat, put your pointer finger in that slit down the throat and your thumb into the top of the belly cut, grab tight and pull, all the guts gills come out in on move, way more efficient way to remove guts and gills,, nice video!
GREAT VIDEO - thank you.
Thank you so much for this great video
