Ahhh, 50 minutes of wrenching from my favorite channel - perfect way to end a very busy Monday!
exactly!
50 min is too little.
Your Monday has ended befor mine even started. Lol
exact👍
It works also on a Tuesday, surprisingly
let's give a round of applause for not only the mechanical work but also the editing work put into creating this video with all the transitions, effects, inserts and many more
I was thinking the same. Flawless on point production.
I just want to let you know that you are a breeze of fresh air in my life and in the life of hundreds of thousands of people. I hope you'll never stop making these fantastic videos and bringing joy to our lifes. Thank you so much! Cheers my friend!!
Thank you for your kind words!
Amen brother...
It is everytime incredible for me, that only one man does all the work and the editing at the same, while in germany every car-channel has a dozent of heads in mediateams and deliver not nearly such a good work. keep it up Sreten.
Not all of them have Sreten. I was thinking at the same topics. The amount of work he puts in is just incredible because he was, and I believe still is, buying the projects himself, he is wrenching, filming, editing, researching and ordering parts…I think his channel will be Matt Armstrong / Tavarish audience in less than one year.
@@andreimadalinneagu I have told all my friends about Sreten's channel. I am always in awe about his attention to detail. Plus I LOVE the E39 BMW.
Much as I enjoy the wrenching (and I do - a lot), but I'm really looking forward to the interior being sorted out (including Sparky the electric chair) and the final exterior polish and finish. It's going to be an absolute ripper when done.
SAME OMFG
It amazes me how you started on your own, reading forums and doing it all by yourself, and if I didn't know you at all, I would definitely mistake you for a professional BMW mechanic, you truly are a big inspiration to me
he is definitely much more knowledgeable than bmw mechanic now
@@kjyu This is sad to say, but these are HIS cars. Would it be safe to assume a mechanic would put THIS much care and time into a car that wasn't his? He needs to get the cars in and out to get paid, so he can get paid. Sreten does it for the love of the job and the mechanical health of his fleet.
You have the expertise to turn a junkyard car into a showroom princess and you make it seem so simple even though it's far from it. Congrats really enjoyable to watch

Just finished binge watching this entire channel. Now it is time to reintroduce myself to friends and family. - and then find a service manual for my E93
It's always a pleasure to watch you work Sreten! Very informative, step-by-step, with no ads or bs + the right amount of humor 😉You have the ability to make a 50 min episode seem short. A dream show would be you and Captain Slow rebuilding a car together. Keep it up bud, cheers from Canada!
problem with captain slow is he would drag this 50 minute episode out to 2 1/2 hours whereas Sreten does just the right amount of explaining.
"took me like 20 minutes to arrange all of this"... Sreten, you have no idea how someone with OCD like myself genuinely appreciates you taking the time to do that. You always take your work and your fans seriously. Great video. And I won't ask how long it took you to do the parts layout at the opening. ✌️❤️
It doesn't matter how many times I see you use the vapor blaster, I am always amazed by the results.
Wow, that vapor blasting cabinet is just magic 😮 I can’t get enough of broken BMWs 🤣
This channel has given me the confidence to start working on my own German car. I bought a used q7 and I absolutely love it and will start with the basics soon (oil change, fluid changes, spark plugs). 😁
I love that you are really good about wearing PPE, and not afraid to show it. It’s not fun to lose an eye, your hearing, or inhale brake dust.
I can't express how happy this series makes me. In november last year I picked up my first BMW, an E39! Orient blue, 6 cilinders, manual and black leather interior. It's not perfect but it's mechanically about 80% right now. Will be using you as inspiration to hopefuly one day get it to 95%+ like you do with yours.
I love seeing your works! Calmness and attention to detail, first class details. Great job Sreten!
man, i can't think of anyone who would give this car this much love as you do. i work at a dealership in RLP, Germany and if i would have bought this car, we would have just sold it to a guy who ships it to africa or some place it will rott until eternity. nice to see the dedication and endless knowledge you have over BMW cars
It's not a mechanic, it's the artist. I'm waiting for his new videos like no one's else.
🤣@@Landon-si5xc
Honestly I don't think there are any objects I covet more than a factory fresh E39 Touring... thanks for making my dream so tantalisingly real. Always love watching the content!
Great work as ever Sreten, all E39s must be saved. TuV will be a walk in the park 👍😉
i wouldn't lift the car up if i was the inspector seing the brake and suspension job from the wheel arches is enough to pass this car someone giving that much love to an old e39 wagon won't skip on important mechanical stuff he is one hell of a guy
I have been waiting for the next part of this overhaul. I love how you do thing's the right way, and use OEM parts, because the aftermarket garbage just doesn't work, or craps out in a couple month's. G-d bless everyone.
¿Quién necesita Netflix o HBO teniendo este maravilloso canal de KZhead? Expléndido! Muchas gracias por otros 50min gozando la mecánica y restauración, eres un crack!! ;)
Is it weird that I'm so excited to see a new video from my fav channel, but save it till nighttime so i have no distractions?
Cheers from Australia! This project has been great to watch, and I am looking forward to future episodes!
Hey Sreten, I've started watching your videos about 3 weeks ago and already watched every one of your projects, so if you could from now on upload every day that would be nice. 😅
My weekly dose of wrenching therapy. Had a e60 8 years ago. For a tie rod and one rear control arm stealer quoted me over 700 euros. Car had 100k miles, decided to do all of it myself. Front and rear arms, shocks, tie rods, track rod ends, drop links, bushings, discs and pads, the full works. 3 grand later and the car drove like new. All Sachs and lemforder bits. Can't beat them.
First time watching this channel and this guy is brilliant. Attention to detail and knowledge is off the scale. Why am i not surprised, his English is so good aswell. I will be watching more and subscribing.
Same here. Came here after the Nürburgring drive with Mischa in the E46.
I am 16 years old and I am the only one in my age groupe who only likes BMW's and only likes them OEM, One of the main reasons I enjoy your channel so much! Keep up the great work man!
I’m glad to see you using EBC red pads on this episode. I put vented discs and EBC red pads on my 520d F10 and they work awesomely. Keep up the amazing work.
I just broke in the EBC Red Stuff pads on my E46 330ci and they are awesome.
They are great, I wrote a comment on another video recommending them to him. Better bite than OE pads, minimal brake dust and they last forever.
Good to read positive comments, fellas. Thank you!
It’s funny, I had EBC Green on a 1997 Miata when I bought it and hated them. I know they make great pads, but I’m still scared. Been using OEM on my e60 535xi, mostly out of fear. But I have black wheels, so nobody sees the caked on dust between washes.
@@violinmiata Try the red ones, they are completely different.
Just finished binge watching this entire channel.
Guten Tag.
Seriously among the few video content creators' videos I thoroughly enjoy from start to finish! Thank you good Sir for excellent content! This series makes me long even more for the E39 525i Touring (in, I believe, Titanium Silver Metallic) my father had when I turned 18. My gosh what a car that was!
Just as I was finished detailing, streten uploads. Ah what a way to wind down and relax. Amazing content as always.
I just have to say, I don't comment much on channels but I hope you always continue making videos because I love this channle so freaking much. Its sad to say but you actually ruined other car channels for me lol because it bothers me when I see other youtubers who don't torque or clean up their mess when working. You've set the bar really high and I appreciate every little detail you do like adding this spf coat this. Like nobody does that, Nobody cleans there parts. Love the attention to detail, it is my favorite part about this channel. Thank you sir, will always watch all your videos.
The consistent quality of your content is so impressive considering its a one man operation! Thanks for another great vid huge fan!
50 minutes of high quality wrench fest, best spent 50 minutes of my week! Thank you soso much for your dedication and love for bmw sreten!
For the brake pistons that do not want come out, the tip I have is to use a grease gun and thread in the caliper, it puts a lot of pressure in the caliper and I was always able to remote the pistons, even the most stuborn ones. As always, awesome job from you, thank you for the videos.
As always, fantastic video! I swear, your content is like a time machine into the future! Nowhere else on KZhead does watching 50 minutes of video feel like 5! I'm like...what? You just started like 5 minutes ago! Then I realize it's been nearly an hour! Thanks for making and sharing such entertaining, informative, and engrossing content, Sreten! Cheers!
@@Landon-si5xc - Uh, no thanks!
You are doing it so clean man! The little details makes the difference! I absolutely love your passion to do things like it should do!
Very great episode, I can’t wait for you to start working on the M3!
That fron suspension / brake assmembly is just sublime, awesome job.
I’m a gardener, couldn’t fix anything like you do. But you’re great to watch and listen to, I like the fact you didn’t add a whole bunch of music or speed up parts of the process so that individuals like me could enjoy observing just how you do what you do, so competently. Great work. Hi from New Zealand
An Spanish suscriptor here!!! The best KZhead chanel, vamos!!!
That plastic stuff from liqui moly works awesome. Used it on the wheel liners of my 18 year old car cause they whitened out (side-pipes run right by it). It turned them back to black instantly!
Love your work being an e38 and an e39 owner in New Zealand. Like others your content has inspired me to do my own work. Thank you! I was surprised you didn’t clean the rear suspension……I was conflicted! You deserve every success!
I also thought this. I thought he would change the bushings in the lower rear arm. I don't think it really matters much though.
Sreten sure likes to use his vapour blasting cabinet. So funny when he gets all excited! 😂
Oh baby. Style 42 deep dish without chrome. Beautiful choice!
Killer upgrades and killer upper body workouts!
I am missing my E39 so bad. This one is the perfect E39 for me! Color, wheels, engine, everything i wish for
Чувак, я никогда не встречал таких людей как ты, обслуживание своего любимого BMW, я люблю смотреть твои видео, они многому учат, как нужно относиться к своим машинам, и их модернизации, огромнейшее респект Сетерн.
I don't know how, but the videos keep getting better and better. Can't wait for you to start working on the E92 M3 so I can do mine as well while you do it.
Every single video is a masterpiece, to be enjoyed over and over again. Thank you Sreten for such fine work.
As always, Stella video. The production quality is akin to a television series with a full crew. Always blown away by your attention to detail.
And thank you so much for doing (and showing me how to do) what I would like my next Touring to be.
Man, love this video and this channel, tough day at work then watch this and it is brilliant, love your sense of humour too. Keep it up buddy 👍
50 minutes of pure awesomeness. Cannot wait to watch this one.
Seeing someone do the job right on a BMW without complaining on X or Y factor... is so frakking refreshing. Awesome work and attention to detail.
I have anxiety and panic disorder. Everytime I feel too overwhelmed by a situation your posts calm it right down .... Please dont stop !!!!!
Great content as always! Was hoping to see you swap out the bushings in the lower rear swing as well or rather see how you do that - I have heard that those guys are a real pain to get out. Maybe another time... ;)
I've done that on project Dubai. Here they are good. :)
I use EBC Redstuff on my 2003 VW Phaeton, significantly better than OEM and most aftermarket I have come across particularly for heavier cars Awesome video as always!
If no one all ready said it, a grease gun is super effective on frozen caliper pistons if air pressure don't cut it. Always a pleasure watching this videos 👍🙂
The only channel where rusty screws get replaced by OEM awesomeness. Classic Sreten…well done.
You can use a grease gun and an adapter to push out the caliper pistons that are stuck 🙂
Caliper painting tip: Use a hot melt glue gun to carefully cover any odd area or shape you don't want painted. Cut thin cardboard to cover the bore and glue in place. The glue peels off easy when the paint is dry 👍
Amazed………..our friend has lived his entire life in a BMW……..his knowledge is mind blowing…….
Você realmente é muito bom no que faz!! Parabens!!
In this Episode: A man Grunts Loudly while using Copious amounts of Lube. We learn new German Expletives. And a mystery person, in a reflection (22:17)
If you owned a refurb shop, I don't know how you'd find employees who'd live up to your standards of excellence. Very well done!!
Great videos . Watch every one religiously . Good to see huge jackman make a return . This car really needs a nice set of bumpers . The msport rear bumper possibly paired with a Alpina front bumper . Would look great
Nice work as always Sreten!! Looking forward to see it on the autobahn!! 💪 On your M5 you replaced the brake booster with I think one from a 7 series. Are you going to do it one this car as well or is did not necessarily?
Sreten, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You should be training BMW’s next generation of technicians. 30+ years ago when I was starting out, I would love to have experienced this level of knowledge and craftsmanship. Another great episode, kudos to you sir!
When you showed the wheels it finished my wishlist for my 530i touring. So Jealous yet so impressed at the same time.
Project Rottweil is great. I can’t wait for the next episodes. Love to see these old work horses fed and watered. More please. 😊
You know what I love about the vapor blast machine, the little windscreen wiper. It's the unsung hero
I don't have a BMW and I'm not a mechanic but I love watching these videos. Chapeau to you, you're a craftsman at work.
I'm amazed at myself. I hate BMWs over engineering, but love to watch Sreten methodically repair the factory's disregard for reliability.
Every house should be equipped with a vapour blasting cabinet, I’m always impressed by the finish.
Sreten i admire your work. I've been following you for a while now, I think since project Dubai. And i haven't watched all your videos, but whenever i have the time it's just awesome and relaxing to watch your work unfold on my screen. You also inspire me to work on my own car, a 26 year old Peugeot 205 which i also bought in neglected state and now use as a daily driver. Thank you once again and i wish you all the best from the Netherlands!
Congrats for getting noticed by BMW 👍
Boy that Aquablast and ACF50 treatment is gorgeousity itself. 👌. Ps - a hair check at important moments is crucial, Arnie does it all the time. 👍
One of my favourite channels to watch on KZhead absolutely first class mate, nearly as good as RCC 😂
Hands down the most detailed automotive channel on you KZhead. Keep up the good work!
That vapor blast machine is priceless.
Sreten i think i could literally sit at my computer and decompress after work watching you wrench and LEARNING from you. Thank you
What a perfect night to end, thanks again for a beautiful 50 minutes of art.
Not sure if you did this on purpose, but I love the mechanical torque wrench sound wayyy more than the digital one. It sounds so much better and more satisfying, arguably the best part of your videos.
Your videos are highlights of my week. Anyone working on a BMW should have these as required watching before taking on a maintenance project.
The patience you applying during the cleaning phase is amazing.
30:02 "Just a DUDE doing Manly work!" Yea! LOL!
the perfect end every episode, well balanced and no crap, just good wrenching. ME GUSTA.
I really enjoy watching you demonstrate your Wichsen Aquablast 1215. You're also really fast with your Wichsen Aquablast.
Blessed once again with magnificent BMW wrenching content - thank you Sreten!
Can we all appreciate how good that e39 looks on that thumbnail photo 🤩🥰
Video quality is 100%! Your skills 100% when you hurt yourself I 😅 100%! Very good episode and I like this car very much
This might be one of my fav episodes of the channel. As a suspension obsessive, the detail is amazing. Anyone else love the inverted rear shocks and geometry of the E39 Touring?! When the E39 came out, I remember a car mag saying something about wishing the fenders were transparent to see the aluminum magic in action. As always, our leader, Mr. Streten, does the good work and meticulous refurbishment needed. Makes me want to step out in the rainy SF night and figure out my screaming wheel bearings and why the left control arm vibrates at 80mph on 280!
This is some of the best of M539. Just gorgeous!
In minute 22:17 you can see in the reflexión that someone is helping Stratan! Now you have an intern!!! Way to go ma man!
Those rims look absolutely beautifull! Amazing
The satisfying sound of a torque wrench!😊
