i guess it's "hz" on the left, not "fps"

the jump from 144hz to 240hz is noticeable for me, but tbh it feels...underwhelming?? I mean it doesn't feel like the night and day differences between 60hz and 144hz, even 120hz
Why do you think it's great? it says "240Hz vs 144Hz vs 120Hz vs 60Hz" in the title, but it's slowed down so in reality it shows the difference between much slower framerates. How can people think it's a quality content?
Piterixos I think it's shown slowed down so that viewers on 60 hz monitors can still see the effect, not to mention that YT vids are capped at 60 fps so full speed would be more difficult to detect
I think the sweet spot right now is 1440p 144 hz I have a 1080p 240hz and a 1440p 144hz very slight difference And for me I'd rather trade off the extra smoothness for a higher resolution
Exactly why I'm buying 1440p 144Hz. I highly doubt I could tell the difference between 144 and 240, and 1440p gives that extra detail you just can't see with 1080p. Plus the prices are pretty good.

Could you include 30hz for the console people? Thank you for all the hard work.
I can't even imagine how bad it will look lol
Console people don't play at 30Hz, it depends on the monitor. Console is locked at around 30 frames per second (fps). I could see the confusion though.
You high bro? Doesn't matter if the monitor is 1000000 Hz. If the console outputs 30 fps, you see 30 fps.
30FPS on a 60Hz should look the same as 30FPS on a 30Hz monitor, and it will look the same on a 144Hz monitor
They do play at 60hz, but 2 duplicate frames per hz which in the end is pretty much the same.

Wow. I really want to try a 240hz monitor, but there are so many negatives. TN displays, small screen sizes, and no 1440p. I'd LOVE to see a 240hz vs the new 200hz VA panels comparison when available. EDIT: Since I posted this 240hz IPS panels came out. Yay technology. Now we just need 240hz OLED!
I have a cheap 144hz VA 1ms display, its not IPS but the colors and angles are better than any TN, and the blacks (contrast) are better than IPS.
TN is actually pretty good, 1080p is where it's at for competitive, if you're going for 240hz most likely playing in a competitive environment who would be playing CSGO at like 1280x960 stretched etc
TN nowdays are nice to.. i have 165HZ g-sync from asus and ist awesome to play on 2K
VA is too blurry, even at 200hz
The lower latency advantage hasn't been true for years. It's 4ms vs 1ms. Indistinguishable. The question now is if you want dimmer picture and very bad viewing angles for an extra 96hz

You can find the answer how much Hz you monitor has be max. I did found how to calculate. Unfortunately i forgot how... You need to know how fast is the human eye to changes. I took an exaple of 30fps as they say. So you divide 1 second to 30 frames and you get 0,0(3) [3 in period]. So 0,033333 seconds = 33,33333 miliseconds. This makes the gaming monitors advertised with 1ms response time unnecessary. Mine is advertised as 5ms (real is about 13ms)
if people cant tell the difference in real time then whats the point of pros buying them LMAO

Nicely presented, good job!!!
Okay, so super slowed down like this the difference becomes obvious, but in real gameplay, while I can see a difference between 60fps and 120 fps, I honestly cannot tell the difference between 120 and 144 although that is currently the crucial mark because the Nvidia RTX GPUs today like the 2060 super or 2070 super for example can get over 100 FPS easily but not as far up as 144 unless you buy the 2080 TI which costs a thousand bucks.

When I bought a 144Hz gaming monitor I had that knot in my stomach wondering if I wasted my money. You cant watch videos reviewing it and hear the reviews on them but when you just havent seen it in action in person, its hard to convince yourself to make a pricey purchase like that. However when I got my monitor hooked up and saw how great it was, it was a purchase well made in my opinion. I wont game on anything less than 144 now. This is a great visual to show people what is expected for the purchase they make. GREAT JOB!
I on the other hand switched from 60 fps to 144 fps and don't see much difference. No skill improvements, just slightly better visuals.

Katascious 24 if you knew anything. The human eye doesn’t see “frames per shit!” it sees waves of light which is completely different. #vSauce
Hugh McHugh definately wrong about that pal. I think you are refering to how many images your brain can process in a second, which is around that. But your brain also fills in the gaps, hence the reason you can see the difference between 30, 60, 120fps, etc.
What's your problem man? You're getting that angry over monitors ffs like is that how sad your life is? I don't want to be disrespectful nor insulting but cut the racism and don't mention religion when you have probably never looked at religion correctly. Monitors are monitors so stop the racism and stop the offensive language against religious people because that is straight up messed up. Also, where you keep saying "You are to poor to buy..." it's actually "too" that is supposed to be used. Correct grammar please because you may say others are dumb but you are clearly worse.

If you’re used to 144hz the jump to 240 isn’t as huge as you think. I’ve been playing at 180hz and when I finally got a 240hz monitor I could just barely tell the difference. 144 and 240 are both professional level refresh rates and if you’re on 144hz you’re not at a disadvantage at all. I’ve played rainbow 6 siege for almost 5 years now and while 240hz is nice, I can get champion on 144hz just as fast.

Sometimes it could be the placebo effect. I had a friend who bought a 120Hz monitor but it came default with 90Hz. He commmented that the monitor was smoother than his old 90Hz monitor when in fact he was still viewing 90Hz.

Get 144hz one as it's more hz. But you need to look up for monitor's response time (ig Google models). Cuz response time makes huge diff. If price difference is large (>30) then get 120hz one.
Difference between 120 and 144 is more than I expected!
That outro, THAT'S WHAT I CALL AN ORIGINAL OUTRO, fantastic.
240 Hz slowmo is like a relaxing walk
So my current monitor that has 120HZ. When I buy a new monitor say 144hz or even 240Hz will I be a better shooter against those players who have a much weaker refresh rate below 120hz frequency? Will I have so much greater benefits and better shooting if I see an opponent much sooner thanks to a better refresh rate?
You really think 24hz will make you better gamer when you have 120hz which is high amount?
pls tell me where to download 144 hz for monitor and 64gb for ram, please help, from philippines thank you in advance
144hz n above there's huge diminishing return of smoothness since 7ms is (144hz) - 4.1ms (240hz) = 3ms difference compared 60 to 144hz 16.6ms - 7ms= 9.6ms, huge difference
that's true. That's why 144hz 1440p is the 'ideal' monitor for --almost-- everything.
IPS Freesync/GSYNC and vesa are kinda a must for that monitor. My 1080ti can't run all games 1440p 144hz and no I'm not buying 2080ti for double the price.
@@jasonterry1959 1080p looks absolutely fine unless you shove your face 3 inches away from the screen. And double the frame rate of 1440p is a way bigger bonus than an imperceptible increase in resolution.
@@kylehart8829 I play on 1440p and full 144hz in most games. Never below 100 in any game i've played
@@jasonterry1959 I'd rather have 144fps at 1080p than 80fps at 1440. Resolution is one of the least important factors in image quality imo. Good graphical fidelity overall and maximum fps is worth sacrificing resolution for me personally. I actually play shooters at 720p or 1024x768 for framerate reasons even though I have a 1080p monitor.
Seeing this video without the man dying is very unsatisfying.
In the end FPS always matters💯
Me: *got a 240hz monitor* Friend: how did u get that?! Me: i can live on one testis
Sry I watched the thumbnail for 2h but I couldn't find any difference
So your brain are crashed
Ur eyes are bottlenecking from 1hz
That is what we call 1 hz
finally some one not talking about it and ACTUALLY showing it
You can easily tell difference between 240hz and 360hz and if you can't then you may need to get your eyes checked. Some people may have trouble in blind test sure but those are generally the non serious casual single player gamers. Besides in pvp its very important to have a target in crosshair for multiple frames to have a moment to hit them compared to only few frames on lower hertz monitors since the image was not updated frequently enough to take a shot. The eyes enjoy full smoothness anyway not abrupted motioned clunky moving images.
what if i have lower fps but want to buy higher hertz monitor? would it make a difference
60 hz - 4 frames 120 hz - 9 frames 144 hz - 10 to 12 frames 240 hz - 16 to 18 frames or opportunities to shoot the ct
Yep, I can't believe it's still a debate lol. Higher FPS IS ALWAYS BETTER!!!! You need higher Hz monitor to achieve that! It's really simple.
@@headphonesz6527 given that your budget is infinite
Ty dude
I dont think that's how it works lol, it just makes it look smoother and doesn't affect space-time
With that 240hz monitor, you're mostly getting interpolation. It's still great having the higher refresh rate, but anything higher than 144hz for csgo atm is purely for smoother images and will give no advantage to you. Valve competitive servers only operate at 64 ticks, and alternative services only operate at 128 ticks maximum, so that leaves 3/4 or 1/2 of those respective frames being interpolated (guessed) by your pc. I would recommend going with a really high end 144hz monitor rather than a 240hz monitor at this point in time. Hopefully in a few years we can get to a point where 240hz makes more sense.
SeedlessBananas the more the better, it will have slight advantages, but nothing too crazy.
Og Bqze yeah, thats basically a tl;dr of what I was tryna say :P
You're getting interpolation ? Of what ? If you're talking about the monitor interpolating the frames, no. There have been native 240hz panels available for quite some time now. If you're talking about the ticks that are interpolated, if this would be the case then the ticks would be interpolated for everyone = you still have an advantage.
smoked_out Your game (client side) would have to interpolate wgats happening in between ticks to produce a frames to be displayed 240 times a second, as data is only transferred between the server and your pc 64 times a second (valve) or 128 times a second (alternative). So either, you'd have duplicated info being displayed from the server and not have much benefit of 240hz, or you would have to enable interpolation to have the game feel smoother but you will have slightly false info.
SeedlessBananas You always have interpolation in CSGO. And this isn't bound to your fps in-game or the hz that your monitor has. It depends on your settings and the tickrate of the server, the lerp is always the same: it doesn't matters if you have a 60 or 240hz monitor. Note that normal monitors aren't synced with the GPU, as shown in this graph: i.imgur.com/nIkGvTq.png
this is a really nice video
Ya know, I love my change to 144 Hz monitor and performance that I can show in all shooters that I play, but some of them require better hardware and that's what stoles the fun from me since in some games my system struggles to keep stable 144 FPS
Me: *Has 60Hz monitor* Also me: 240Hz looks Amazing!! Me again: *Buys 120Hz Monitor for cheaper price*
also me hahaha nice one
and you know it's not that bad. the difference between 60 and 120 is greater than 120 and 240
Yo i bought my 144hz for $180 no shipping fee.
I have 4K 60hz
IMTIREDSHUTUP Which one?
The 240Hz one is so smooth it actually looks like it's playing at normal speed and he's just moving really slowly..!
True
I just recently got a 144 Hz monitor. I think it's the best bang for your buck. You can one of these for under 200 and its extremely smooth and a way bigger upgrade over 144. I have tried a 240 Hz monitor but in all honesty it's not worth the money unless you have a huge budget and want to go all out
Start playing at 60hz, play for 3-4 months it will make ur reflexes much better, then switch to 90 or 120hz Trust me, I've done that, works like a charm Btw I switched to 75hz instead of 120 or above but still doing pretty well
how do you switch? different monitors?
I used to play things at 60hz I went to a pc cafe and it had 240hz monitor so i played csgo there. I felt like I had entered a different dimension of gaming experience.. imagine from 60hz to 240hz 60hz 60fps literally looked like 30fps then
seriously, where do u live? 240hz monitor for a pc cafe is perfect.
My pc is 7 years old and I am still on 60 hz. It is still working for now, but I guess I will be happy when I will change it.
144hz 1080p is the best bang for your buck. So smooth, great graphics. I probably won’t upgrade anytime soon.
likaboss7654 1080 p is getting old
@@luna-pc3fk Unless 4k monitors become significantly larger, it'll essentially be an anti-aliasing method thanks to the PPI. 1080p will never be outdated, though it will likely become less than average.
144hz 1440p is pretty lit though

1080p? What is this 2010?
What's your keyboard and mouse settings?
hi 60hz i stayed between 4k and 240hz 1920.1080 which one do you think?
Its really not about how players move, its how your brain reacts to the mouse movement (aiming), I've noticed when switching from 60 to 165 hz I hit way more flicks
strongly agree, more feeling than seeing,
I use 144htz went back to 60htz because I thought couldn't see a difference any more and I quickly went back to 144 it was way smoother.
why does 120 show early and end slowly also?
I noticed you use a Logitech G910 (mechanical keyboard). Have you ever noticed "problems" with it? More specifically, problems with registrered key presses? I am having a huge problem with mine. A lot of keys on my keyboard, mostly "game" keys like WASD and SPACE somehow register more than one presses whenever I press it. Very anoying. I have disassembled the keys and cleaned the keys and their receivers thoroughly with alcohol but the problem persists. Have you ever heard of this and/or know a solution for it? (appart from buying a new one) It is barely 3 years old.
