  • Let's not forget that before he got involved with the Avengers, Sam was working in counseling at the VA. It's only natural for him to try and connect with Bucky, a soldier with some extremely heavy baggage, and help him become normal again.

  • Bucky looking over his back in the restaurant is a military training habit, also it's a sign of his PTSD. He cannot relax enough without seeing the area around him some vets will sit facing the entrance just so they can react if something goes down.

Lime it could be a whole flashback scene. Who knows, maybe he killed his old war buddies son and that's why he feels so guilty for this specific death.

    • Batroc’s bullet necklace is actually called a hog’s tooth. It’s based on the sniper superstition that there is ultimately one round bullet to end the life of each person, "the bullet with your name on it. So untell you’re bullet is fired you are inviceble. Or so the superstition goes.

  • Just to clarify, when the ‘lovely lady’ said that “half the fish in the sea came back” she wasn’t talking about actual fish, she was talking about other women. “Fish in the sea” is an expression that people use when talking about other women (or men) out there to date.

    • That's exactly what I thought!! I do agree that Thanos DID erase half of ALL life, not just humans, there are mannnny other scenes pointing this out, but this was not one of them.. She was referring to woman as in dating!! Notttt actual fish... I'm kinda surprised that has to be explained... But besides that a good video

  • Bucky sleeping on the floor reminds me of his line in The Winter Soldier, when suggesting Steve to come live with his family after the funeral: “we can put the couch cushions on the floor, like when we were kids.” I’d like to think he does that because it’s something that’s familiar and brought him joy in the past (spending time with Steve).

  • Remember in Civil War when Tony asks Bucky if he remembers Tony's parents and Bucky replies he remembers them all. Now when you see how is Bucky suffering, it adds even more weight.

  • I feel like the writing for this show is much more realistic than the movies, even just small statements by the characters such as "you good?" Or Sam saying "can you not?" It feels like real people and I hope this becomes the new standard.

    • It’s because they have more room to stretch as writers. In a movie every single bit has to have purpose to drive it forward. If they DO include stuff like that, it ends up being edited out. This format gives them more flexibility.

  • One thing I noticed second time watching the flashback, you can see the winter soldier’s silhouette on the stained glass ceiling during the lobby shot. It’s how the whole civilian conversation exists in Bucky’s memory. He was there when it happened. We cut from the lobby when we do, because you can see Bucky leave to continue stalking his target and infiltrate the hotel.

    • @@bradleytaniguchi1187 when looking it up, the candlestick phone was popular around the time Bucky and Steve might have been in the war and got “frozen in time”. Bucky said that he’s 106 ( when on the date, the barista asked how old he was and he immediately said it, making me think that that’s his actual age) and if you subtract 2024 (or 2025) that’s gets you to around 1918 which would be his birth year. Most men went into war around late teens to early 20’s. That would get you to the 20’s/ 30’s.

  • Love your video you do say some things that I don’t notice or you go into more detail. One thing I want to point out is that They are not only missing not having Captain America Iron Man around but they don’t have Black Widow either. And the subtle brilliance and genius of the character was that not only was she able to emotionally anchor them, but she was a chief strategist and also knew how to maintain calm in the face of conflict.

    • @@Iamniyas17 Did watch it, while it was better than the first, it had so much that could have hit the cutting room floor. It was quite obvious from the whole thing that WB basically gave in to Snyder's wishes for that movie even to the point of having in 4:3 format (ewwww) as a way to apologize for basically being the ones responsible for firing him in the first place. And the only reason they did it, because they want their version of MCU and they keep striking out with DC movies.

  • The loan thing is actually more about how veterans have and still are treated. You can be a hero of war but banks wouldn't care. It's not so bad today due to the gi bill but it was terrible for people in Vietnam
