  • 7:00 - Not only that, but even though Peter and Gwen's senses go off first, Peter turns in the correct direction before Gwen does, and she has to look around a bit before doing the same. This shows that Peter B. Parker is the most experienced.

  • I believe at 9:12 the reason miles' spider sense was green and purple was because him and Peter were detecting each other's senses but Peter was seeing miles as a threat (Prowler) but his fate was changed after meeting Spider-Man so it then turned red and blue.

    • I do believe Miles from this universe was never supposed to be Prowler. His dad never died or is about to die from an event that'd have happened without Spider 42. He has Spiderman as a hero he looks up to. His social and financial situation seems to be a lot better than in earth 42. There's really no reason whatsoever to become a villain exception mild teenage angst, and "going to a new school" ain't no reason to become the Prowler

    • @@queenofeverything4004 I do think that our Miles family story could have ended up being what we saw from 42 Miles at the end. I mean this Miles's uncle wouldn't have died if Miles didn't turn out to be Spider-Man. Also, we still don't know what killed 42 Miles's dad, could be the same thing that would have killed this Miles's dad. We can see that when Spider 42 was abducted, it was about to bite Miles 42, who already had no hope. Maybe our Miles was supposed to become the Prowler, and not only his fate but everyone's around him was changed for better and worse.

  • Probably one of my favorite things about the LOOK OUT scene, is that it perfectly visualizes what it feels like to have spidey sense, it's like it's silently screaming at you, it's overwhelming and takes up your entire sensory space, as intrusive as possible to warn you of what's about to happen.

    • Exactly! It’s a great visualization of it. And I think No Way Home has the best depiction of that in live action. It’s interesting to see different (though both accurate) versions of the spidey sense.

    • @@brendan95delany I mean, No Way Home did it in a similar way, just without the visual aspect, it was overwhelmingly silent, like the world was screaming at Peter as loud as it possibly could without a sound, Peter was just more equipped to respond than Miles was, Miles just froze.

  • Two details about Peni and the scene with Genki. Peni is the only one not holding on to the wall because she doesn't have the ability, instead she is pretty much just sandwiched between Miles and Gwen, which I suppose is more approriate since the rest of the team is older gentlemen. Shes also blushing, which could be because of the precarious position, but also potentially cause shes the only one wearing a skirt in this scenario, which she appears to be holding down. If its intentional, its a nice subtle way to sort of reference the Japanese manga inspiration of her design while not being... excessively gratuitous...

  • fun fact: now that the new spider verse movie has come out, we get a little more closure about the purple and green spider sense. this actually indicates that since the spider was from another universe, the miles from THAT universe was supposed to get bitten. because of kingpin, the spider gets to the original universe, and gets confused with the miles from the original universe. that miles was supposed to be prowler, hence, the purple and green sense, turning into blue and red, meaning that his destiny has changed from prowler, to spider-man. the other miles turns into the prowler. The spider sense wouldn’t change for a specific enemy. By the way, “I like your funny words magic man”

  • Another detail was mentioned by Corridor Crew. Miles Morales started as 12FPS animation in the movie while learning to become Spider-man. At the end of the movie, when he wears his own suit, he is now animated at 24FPS. You will notice that the other Spider-men were smoother in animation than Miles before he dons his suit.   • I appreciate that detail number 42 was about the number 42 and how it showed up in the movie. Also, in the opening of the movie when its glitches, you can see "lottery balls"(or whatever you call them) with the number 42 standing out, which implies that this is the number that helped miles win and enroll in the new school.

    • Explanation for the comment above me (spoiler): The green and purple signifies miles morales (of this earth, called 1610), being destined to turn into the prowler. After meeting the spiderman of his Earth, his destiny changes. However, in reference to the hidden detail before this one (which is further elaborated on in ATSV), the spider came from Earth-42 and made it so that the miles morales of THAT EARTH was originally supposed to be bitten but in reality his destiny changed and he (Earth 42) Miles became the prowler.

  • 3:40 also also, Donald Glover kinda inspired the creation of Miles. Well there where a lot of reasons behind the creation of Miles, and Donald was one of them. He wanted to play Spiderman in the 2011 reboot, he knew he'll never get the part, then a lot happened within Marvel's creative team and finally Miles was created.

  • The reason Spider-Gwen's Peter had lizardy scales was because, in her universe, he became the Lizard. It's not a reference to anything mainline Peter did, it's directly from her comic

  • I haven't seen you talk about this in the video but in the credits scene before Miguel O'hara appears, you can see the PS4 suit which you already showed but in you can also see the Secret War Suit in the next shot I looked everywhere else in the credits to see if there was any other suit but I only saw the Secret War suit and the PS4 suit

  • I see what you did there: your 42nd detail is all about the number 42 and its relevance to Miles (though you forgot that the spider that bit Miles in the original comics was also numbered 42, and that 42 was the lottery number that got Miles into Brooklyn Visions Academy).

  • There’s something you’ve missed about the community episode where Donald Glover is dressed up as Spider-Man appearing on the TV screen. That is, that that reference itself was referencing the fan desire to have Donald Glover play the next Spider-Man. When it didn’t happen and everyone was disappointed, the guy who invented miles morales saw the episode and decided to create miles morales because of it. So it’s actually morales’ origin story.
