I love the "top secret -- but everyone knows about it" gag!
They're worse at keeping their fight club "secret" than Fight Club. Don't you guys know the first two rules of Fight Club?!
this probably the idea behind "fight club rules
@@jbvader721 The first rule was something like.. erm.. "No one talks about deez." The second rule was just "Fight club," if I recall.
When you are in that circle its like everyone knows about it.
😂😂😂
Actors who are only on-screen for a few seconds but make the absolute most of their moments are the best! :)
Paco was always my favorite. Lol
My head read that in Ryan George's voice ("Pitch Meetings" guy) 😂
OK USA guy! Hell yes!
You forgot the Muay Thai hand taunting guy.
wow wow wow wow wow wow
"...and was too dumb to realize that the NY Giants and the SF Giants were two different teams..." I laughed so hard at that.
💯
We ABSOLUTELY need more vintage movies for you guys to hilariously eviscerate with your epic voice!! There's a whole bunch of films from the 80s and 90s which aregenuINE *GOLDEN NUGGETS* for an Honest Trailer.
Totally agreed.
You had me at NUGGETS. And I do TOTALLY agree, we need Honest Classic's!
Iron Eagle
Losing his bearing and chuckling at the "based on true events" portion and the "still evil blood tasting" gag, made my day
I think that was scripted, but it was still awesome! Jon Bailey is insanely talented.
Made your day? How sad are you
Yup! I almost spat out my green tea!
Frank Dux was a fraud
@@Al-ok1lj Def spit-take worthy moment right here!
"Purposefully hurts people in this no holds barred hurting people tournament, " may be one of your best lines yet.
I was in stitches. I've watched Blood Sport so many times, but never thought about that piece like that!!
right 😂😂
Like why they are mad at him, it makes no sense before the final fight.
I think it's more like it's OK to kill someone in the fight but doing it after you've clearly already incapacitated them is distasteful.
Discovering this movie on vhs was on of the best feeling ever. Me and my friends watched it so many times.
if you were a male born between 1980 and 1990... this entire film is committed to memory and considered a sacred viewing document.
I still have it on VHS and the player to go with it. 😅
Watching this and, Remo Williams: The adventure begins, with my dad were two of the best bonding experiences we've ever enjoyed!
for me, Bloodsport is the one movie thats gets the message 'strength comes from within' across the best. I also love the theme of honoring your mentor.
Which country are you from because no English speaker respects this movie
It's admirable how Van Damme can still do splits in his 60s.
Not really. his stunt double did them in thst universal soldier sequel a decade or so ago It's fine, he's 60. age happens
@@tiffanyi5645 sort of, he was strapped in with a lot of safety equipment. He's not doing it all on his own
The difference is, it’s involuntary now.
@@jeffkleist9679 Obviously he has to be careful due to his age, but my point stands. He can still do splits.
Those ballet lessons really came in handy.
Thank you Honest Trailers for never losing your touch and making us laugh for all these years. But most importantly, for never letting the “Alan” scene from Jurassic Park 3 ever be forgotten.
3**
Alan!
It’s the best!
@@superanimeniac thanks for the correction!
Alan who? ;-P
"haunt your dreams like a raptor on an airplane" needs to be a line in a rap song.
*A L A N*
0:54 “With the loosest hamstrings in the West…” So you never heard of Rob Van Dam?
Multiple threatening hand gesture guy had me in tears
It's a shame he didn't show the next part, it would have really been funny.
@@Joreel homie lasted all of two seconds LMAOOO 😅😅😅
The Bloodsport version of the Raiders bazaar scene. Classic.
Ahh man. Those old action movies. Bruce Lee, Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Van Damme, Jackie Chan, Jet Li and so many more stars. Sweet memories
See? I told you the 80's was a glorious era.
The 80s was an awesome decade to be a teen in... So many good action films, songs, and goofy shows.
@@Joreel And Transformers.
The Consoling yet Sobering Doctrine of Sufficient Grace by Sensus Fidelium.
@@jeuryrabassa4724 Too bad all of the best movies with these guys were not from the 80s
This honest trailer made me want to watch Bloodsport again after years! Thank you, guys!
I first saw this movie around the time Snopes was new and blowing everyone's minds, watching this with my buds and being amazed by Dux, then reading up on him straight after was one of the funniest things ever
I just love the part about how a 60-round, single-elimination tournament would have had something like 27 quadrillion people in it.
This movie was my childhood. Watched it a thousand times. The music so fantastic. Still got it in my playlist
I was 17 when this movie came out and even then I recognized bullsh¡t when I saw it. Terrible movie 😖
@@keithsj10 everyone's entitled to their terrible opinion.
One time I was in the storage room for all the Mechanical Engineering Senior Design Projects. One had a complex truss structure made up of 2 x 4s. One of the planks was lying horizontal. So I jokingly made a gesture of positioning myself to raise my right hand to break the board karate style - in front of my friend. He said, "Bottom one!"
@@perfectsplit5515 Gold!
Ditto mate, ditto!
They even bring back the talking raptor scene....thanks Honest Trailers, you make my day. 👏💪
Love the Allen Raptor!
All hail our raptor overlord
*A L L E N*
LOL 😂
For those of you that know how to give suggestions, make Screen Junkies do "Cobra" by Stallone. The trailer for it seriously sound like the SJ voice.
Yes! I love Cobra!
@@inspectorevo5704 Who doesn't? Best movie ever.
This has to be the single greatest episode of Honest Trailers I have ever seen.
I must do a reaction video! lol
I still use the line "Very good, but brick not hit back.". That movie is an absolute classic.
That line just riffs off Bruce Lee's line "boards don't hit back" in Enter the Dragon (1973) - which also starred Bolo Yeung - when O'Hara smashes a short plank.
At this point, I associate "Alan!" with Honest Trailers more than Jurassic Park III.
I think we all do! 😆
The Tucker Carlson breakdown was the icing on the cake lmao bravo sir
Yep. It’s so “brave” to sneer at the right. Wholly original.
@@lilliedoubleyou3865 He didn't sneer at "the right." He made fun of Tucker in particular. No one else.
@@aderi31415 Why not make fun of Biden?
@@MrAkura1984 How would that have worked with a reverse racism joke? Tucker talked about that frequently. Biden, not so much.
@@MrAkura1984 is the little snowflake gonna cry?? lol maybe you need a safe space
Jean Claude Van Johnson is basically the finest film made by this dude. They only did 1 season...yet the comedy and stunts in that form is just epic. I truly love that show. The amount of self awareness and the absurd premise is beyond inspired.
There is a terrific video out there that debunks everything Frank Dux claims to have occurred in his life.
Napoleon Blownapart made a who documentary about him. It's fucking great
@@badger297 yep that's what I was thinking of
I was so scared we had seen the last of "Alan". This brings a smile to my face.
Every time I close my eyes I see it. The island will always haunt you.
You can worry if Hollywood ever decides to never film another airplane scene or bad dream scene, but until then...
This is one of my all-time favorite episodes and there have been so, so many great ones.
Thank you for making an honest trailer for one of my favorite movies.
Definitely a fun one in Van Damme's catalogue of movies. Especially for the faces the fighters make.
What're you talking about, Van Damme has atleast like 10 good action flicks
I'm so glad they picked up on the young Frank wearing the San Francisco Giants hat and a NY Giants shirt. Some costume designer didn't know their sports teams
This is one of the best starring sections ever. 😂😂
honestly I feel like Bolo Yeung doesn't get HALF the credit he deserves. Without him, so many fighting movies wouldn't have the same soul they do.
The honest trailer nobody asked for but the honest trailer we all needed.
lots of people asked for it though. The start of the video showed a lot of the comments literally asking for it.
You can literally see who's asking at the start of every Honest Trailer videos
When cliches go wrong
🤣🤣 I swear “Alleyway laughing guy” is now in my top 5 favorite characters in movie history! 🤣🤣🤣
That SF vs NY Giants joke is something I will never forget when watching this.
One of the greatest movies of the 1980's
Probably my favorite Van Damme movie
Low bar but sure
He wasn't known for his high class acting skills 🤔
I like No Retreat, No Surrender where he basically doesn't talk and is barely on screen.
Do watch the series he made.
If anyone has yet to see JCVD, that movie is actually really fkn good, shows his best acting yet
That's not saying much. His "best acting" was mediocre.
@@robertromero8692 whaaa…?? What about when he played twins? Shoulda won an Oscar 😂
The Amazon show is good fun, too. Shame it only got one season.
*laugh in splits*
@@bradmarchant7822 that was Danny Devito I think, but their likeness is uncanny.
I rewatched thismovie last year and its still badass. It sucks that we dont get these types of movies anymore.
“Very good. But brick not hit back.” - Chong Li
Making an honest trailer for the movie "Nobody" is super easy, barely an inconvenience. You should do it.
Wow wow wow... Wow
Making honest trailers is tight!
_Oh, referencing another popular web series while watching another popular web series is_ *TIGHT!*
Hey you need to get ALL the way off their back about this
You're lost
Yeah, this movie was so awesome and the characters were so iconic, we ignore Frank Dux for being a complete troll. Maybe that's why this movie worked so well because it was completely made up!
The word is "fraud" not troll. Troll's do it for the lolz. Frauds do it for profit.
@@InfernosReaperI mean, he's both.
Laugh all you want but I'm watching this again on my next day off. Still better than 99.5% of Netflix. And then I'm watching Tombstone for the 43rd time.
Is Val Kilmer still your Huckleberry? Lol That movie really is insanely awesome tho. The mindf&*king aspect of val kilmer's character is crazy. Bro knows how to mess with drunk people without killing them instantly.
Epic Voice Guy's rendition for the MORTAL KOMBAT scream was spot on. My brain kept waiting for the sweet music. In fact, I'm going to listen to it now.
This is how you make an absolute clusterfck of a movie and its still awesome
Your Goddamn right
@TwinTurbo Ray I use to type “my x what?” In this case “my goddamn right what?”
@@twinturboray His X right deez
And the sequel/reprise: Kickboxer!
Since you mentioned it...gotta do the "Ninja Cinamatic Universes"
"Ghost Dog origin story" had me in literal stitches 😅
Thank you SO much for granting my request by saying the line I requested last week, Epic Voice Guy!!! This is the second time you’ve done it and I couldn’t be more honored!!! At 7:03 😎
You've opened the Van Damm floodgates here, ya gotta do Kickboxer! I don't know what's more iconic, the final fight or his dancing! 🤣
You guys should have added Tucker Carlson's resting baffled face along with his hilarious laugh. Roasting Tucker would have been so easy. I wish I was there to help you.
'Sword Art Offline' 💀💀💀
Oh.My.God. That was probably the BEST Honest Trailer I've ever watched! Great job!
3:47 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…… that caught me off guard!!!!
YES! This movie is perfect 80's ridiculousness
Yes!
This is the #1 martial arts movies ever made, I met Frank Dux onetime. He seemed nice and took a picture. Don't know if he ever did anything he says he did but Bloodsport is great.
I've never seen Bloodsport but I had to pause this video several times because I was laughing so hard. Now I have to watch it!
The Tucker Carlson bit had me rolling hahaha too real
Damn that was awesome! I guess I never realized how "top secret" the Kumite really wasn't. You have to do more Van Damme movies.
lol me too. It's been years since i've seen this movie but still... seeing this trailer made me realize how "not top secret" the kumite actually was ^^
Lionheart would be a good one
I cracked up more than I should at Sword Art Offline. You should definitely do one on the remaining seasons and the movies.
I too loved the Sword Art shout out. :D
honestly..one of the best Honest Trailers of all time. thank you. still laughing at the "kumate" montage
Someone watched this closely to catch both the Giants thing and the guy falling in the wrong direction.
Guy falling in the wrong direction is one of my favorite moments of this film.
OMG, I've been waiting so long for this one. I hope they do more classics Honest Trailers, its why we all followed this channel in the first place.
"He's just here to kick some ribs." Best AI-generated Famous Dave's slogan ever.
I literally remember hand gestures guy so well after all these years.
"Okay USA!" is one of the few movie lines I have had everyone recognized when using it randomly in day to day events.
Now do an honest trailer for Commando
Aka Ahhhhnnnooolld kills everyone and tries to outbond James Bond one liners, I let him go.
My thoughts exactly, how is this not done yet.
He's dead tired
No chance
They mention it on the commentary.
THIS!!!! This is my movie and I'm so happy you did an HT for it. I would have loved if you showed the entire alleyway "fight" where he takes out the entire police force of 2 cops who try to stop him. Always kills me!
Hands down my favorite HT episode yet. Well done.
I grew up with this movie and I still love it to this day. 🥰🥰
It’s so nostalgic for me that I consider it one of the best movies ever.
Best episode ever. This episode should be nominated for an Emmy or a Golden Globe or something. 💯
I second that! 🙋🏾♂️
„Ghost Dog: Origins” is the best credit ever.
Seeing my comment in the beginning made me feel like I won an award...then I realized this AWESOME video was the award!!!!
Kumite in Japanese literally just means sparring (Source: 10+ years of Karate and 2nd Degree black belt). Why are they making it sound like Mortal Kombat😂
Damn, haven't seen this movie since I was a kid. Definitely need to go back and watch it now! But minus 2 points for not working in the phrase "Van-Damage"
It’s my favourite film of all time, older brother had it on DVD and watched it all my childhood, it’s so camp but just the right amount of camp
You should look at the channel space ice
"Alan" should pop up in every video. Not just every Honest Trailer, every KZhead video.
For Richard Belzer, say "Yeah...do you think I'll never be cut out for the married life?"
Gotta say while I love every Honest Trailer, this one I had to immediately rewatch because I was laughing so much the first time 😂 so good 👏
Honest trailer guy is cracking me up he can't even hold it together LOL I love it
"These guys with one or two small momments, but boy do they make them count" section was pure genius, the hand gestures guy and the "Ok USA guy" helped make this a 10/10 movie
Anyone who hates Bloodsport probably runs like Steven Segal.
A-Pecs Predator is perfection.
"Those guys with one or two small moments but boy do they make 'em count" That line practically made my day, those dudes GO SO HARD! You know, this would already have been a perfect movie, but then they put Stan Bush in the soundtrack, and OH HECK YEAH!
I have had a few rough weeks, but your assessment of the movie made me snort pretty hard. I needed that!!
This is still the GREATEST (American) MARTIAL ARTS MOVIE EVER MADE!!! (Not starring Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, or Jet Li)
Thank you, honest trailer, for not doing the latest release film that we all haven't got around to seeing yet! These classics are the best ones you do...in my opinion
TY for the recognition! 🥷
When you’re trying desperately not to laugh so you won’t have to explain the joke to your wife but then the kid with the Bartles and James shirt bit makes you go hysterical
My brother was OBSESSED with this movie, like he would play the VHS every day and do split like JCVD
Same
This is a movie everyone should see, one of my absolute favorites to this day!
Steven Seagal and his chopping, that's hilarious
"Ghost Dog Origins" is top tier comedy
If you weren't in junior high when this came out on VHS you can't grasp it's awesomeness.
How has it been that this movie has not been honest trailered before now!? hahahaha what a gem!
Best honest trailer of them all. Please more 80s and 90s action movie Honest Trailers
this may be some of your best work. I wish I could watch it again for the first time.
Needed a Honest Trailer and Space Ice mashup for this masterpiece! It would've been so Van Damme good!
Space ice yeah i like that one too
Please do Kickboxer next. I think it's his most iconic film.
Not even top 3
KICKBOXER! AFTER THIS TRAILER! YES PLEASE! PURE SCHMALTZ
