  • I think that the headset will be more valuable when they come out with visionOS 2, which will include screen sharing or airplay, sharing where you can watch videos and have the headsets communicate with each other in environments like playing a game with chess on a table but that’s gonna be the big feature that blows this headset up

  • I’ve been using vr for 10 years. If this was the first vr I got. I would have shit my pants. Just the fact that Apple figured out how to get your hands and arms on the virtual environments is insane. Let alone having your hands show in front of the app icons. Ppl don’t realize how insane that is

    • you can watch starwars and walk on the street at the same time... but you have to mov ethe screen to the sides so you can see the road and the cars :D

    • It’s not socially acceptable, people can see there’s a camera following them around and they know they doin it for content. They just know the novelty of using it outside but that doesn’t mean people actually think it’s acceptable in public. A more accurate reaction is the girls in the car lol

  • The apple device ability to put screens / apps on different places at home and who knows maybe in the world by using GPS is fantastic. You do a trek today at the US and you are living in Spain and decide that next year you return to the same trek in the US and many screens are waiting there in the US for you at the same spots you wete a year ago including direction arrows ; All you had created in the past trip . Also screens all over the city you live in just yurn on GPS.

  • Apple Vision Pro it just might become my daily driver a few years down the road for content consumption when I replace my Apple M1 MacBook Air. I am impressed. Please keep on top of third party solutions for this environment. The thing I'm looking for is a cap type solution that would allow you to attach the battery on the back to counterbalance the weight of the headset. Then a KISS solution third party battery pack plugged into the Apple Vision Pro Battery Pack USB C port for extended play time. Now for the weight. When I first started as an Little League Baseball / Softball umpire many, many years ago my face masks weight was more than the Apple Vision Pro and hung off the front of my head. Now I got use to it. These days of course they make ultralight face masks. So I am looking for third party solutions to replace the Apple head gear to better balance the weight on my head. I was on the cutting edge in 1984 with the purchase of the Apple Macintosh. Not going to be with the Apple Vision Pro.

  • I like it, I think it looks cool but that's because I love tech. That said, I know this thing is going to cost the equivalent of a nation's GDP when converted to Canadian dollars so even if it launches here, I doubt I'll be able to afford one. Maybe I'll just stick to the plan of getting an iPhone 16 Pro in the Fall.

  • That dock ad is a great reminder, though, that the VP DOESN’T even have any way to plug in USB, let alone a dock like this. If it had a simple USB dongle, you could plug in accessories and use it as a real work machine. Currently this is honestly a big drawback.
