And it's the "normies" that previously have been buying SE models??? I thought that Pro Max and regular models are Apple's bestsellers!? And the SE4 is not replacement for regular model (you can still buy an iPhone 15), but for the iPhone SE 2022 with 4,7' screen. So, why not in a "mini" size?
SE line should be the new mini version, so people have options if they dont like big size phone like me.
Agree 💯%. If only it would come in that size, but little bit thicker, with a bigger battery, even me, an android user would buy one.
Small body, plastic case, one camera on the back, physical home button, plenty battery life... please. Millions of us just don't want the current crop of gigantic phones.

When will it release?
For everyone complaining about the notch vs dynamic island. The notch has stayed in production for 5.5 yrs. While it did shrink a bit at the end, the notch has had more time to be cheap to manufacturer compared to the island being currently 2 and 3 by the end of this yr. So it makes sense for apple to short change customers by using the notch. Is it _right_ or ideal, no. But its a business move--its logical.
I've now got the SE-3. Personally, I like it. Sure, it's only 90% as good as the most modern phone, but at literally a fraction of the price. Besides, for me the display and camera are more than good enough, and I carry my Leica around still as needed for special photo occasions.
5.8 inch SE and 6.5 inch SE+ would be soo good !

I am a very satisfied user of the SE3 2022, for me touch id is better than face id and the mini dimensions suit me very well. I don't really care about the cameras and the rest. Plus the new model will certainly not cost $430 and will be worse than the cheapest full iPhone
Bugger that they have removed the fingerprint sensor. I love that on the old SE phone I have currently. Not worried about all bells n whistles, just want the old phone chips upgraded. The small size is great as it fits my back pocket. Not concerned about camera being upto latest, as I only take a few pics anyway.
This have been rumored for so long….i wanted it for my parents (my mother in specific, she had my old 7), ended up buying the 15, it would last for a ton of years. If it’s more than a 6 months of waiting, I don’t think it’s worth it to be waiting for something that it’s not confirmed it will be realeased soon.
I hope we get the 2x zoom like on the 15 because of the new sensor 🥺

The best Iphone would be the size of the iphone 8 without bezels (or atleast smaller) and a better screen, even though I do not really need more than I have now in my Iphone Series 2. In addition to that a slightly better camera and a newer chip. I love the design of the iphone 8 the feel is great and I love my phone. I used it for the past four years now and I really dont regret buying it.

RIP fans of small phones. An iPhone 14 chasis which will be used for the SE will be the size of an iPhone 14, meaning the SE will also be 14 sized

All the comments mentioning the mini. It's a little too late for that. The mini apparently didn't sell. Which sucks because I loved the 13 mini.

I have no problem with phones that have less features like the se3….i don’t need more than 12 megapixels. I hardly take pictures. There are others like me out there. So, Apple please continue to offer low end phones at a great price and I will continue to be a customer 😊

An ActionButton is unrealistic, because the volume buttons are real buttons to press, while the cut out is for the old-but-gold mute switch.
I honestly hope there is no action button, I prefer the mute switch personally.

I think 12MP sensor on 13 Pro is still better than 48MP Main on 15. Everyone doesn't understand that 48MP sensor of 15 is barely any bigger than 13 Pro's and 14's Main 12MP sensor, but having to accomodate 4 times as many pixels, which means worse low-light capabilities, especially for video mode.

Going from LCD to oled is good for many but for pwm sensitive we are pretty much f****d now. We will have to hold on to the SE3 until a new screen tech fixes the pwm issues. I’m sure the OLED will be a cheap one w terrible hz/amplitude.

It will start at $500-550. Unfortunately, way more in Europe. Probably €700. The primary camera will be the iPhone 11's 12MP sensor - definitely not the 48MP from the iPhone 15.

I guess I'll get iPhone SE5 when they include 48mp hires cam, dynamic island, usb type c, a18 3nm chipset and satellite connection with ios 19 or 20 in 2025 or 2026 🤷

I really want apple to drop the se4, cus when then do Samsung will have to lock tf in with their A line phones. Cus, despite other manufacturers doing something Samsung won't, it seems they only respond when apple does something.

The only time I see someone with an iPhone SE it is usually just a work phone. Ie camera and other QOL features are not necessary imo
If I could control my Apple Watch from my iPad, my phone would be completely irrelevant on most days. I wish there were more developers working on watch apps so that it's not so tied to having a phone at all. But if I have to have a phone, these look good.

I got the iPhone 12 mini, if the price stays around 500 euros (sorry im european) im gonna get the new se4 instantly, if it goes to 600+ euros im gonna evaluate the decision, if its anything above 700 then im just gonna get a 14 or 13 pro
Fun fact in Germany the SE already costs 529€ if you buy it from apple. With that price tag is more expensive as the google pixel 7a (509€) already. So I wouldn’t surprised if the new one hits 580€ here…
And that's with 64GB. And Pixel 7a goes often on sales for 379€. iPhone SE 4 will compete against Pixel 9 price in Europe really, around 600-700€
