Honestly, all u need is a basic phone for calls and texts, and some social media. I like how he always says use your phone less since we all kind of need that. This guy needs more subs lol Edit: why does this have so many freaking likes geez... anyways ty for all of the likes!
This phone still games pretty good too
@@D3great12 If u say so bro! Never had this phone myself lol
@@iLCDMC i use it now as a daily driver. Its definitely not the best but when it comes to call of duty pubg and most games in the app store it runs pretty well. Definitely heats up though

Yeah fr fr
My wife still uses one because she absolutely refuses to get rid of the home button. I love her anyway :D.

All you need is a phone that nails the basics, phone calls, texting, social media and has a decent camera. The iPhone SE and the iPhone 13 mini are perfect for that and very affordable. You really can’t give me a good reason why you should spend 1000 bucks on a phone other than you are just bored and looking for joy and happiness in the wrong places, a new phone won’t do that for you.
13 min battery sucks and it’s small buying a new phone every year is stupid but getting the latest one every 3-5 years makes perfect sense

I agree. So much money these phones are… all it is marketing and manipulation. America is the capital of over consumption on all fronts. I have the SE 2 and the phone works great and I’ll get the SE 3 when the time comes. I enjoy it. I love the home button and Touch ID.
Using this as primary device and started my iphone journey with se 3
this video is different from the rest. it has a somewhat more genuine and emotional more 'vibe' to it. i like how you talk more about what it made you feel rather than just the typical "oh it's missing some of these features" or whatever, i really appreciate that! thanks for making this video!
exactly what i was thinking, too! it feels so "home" rather than those numerous same-style tech based channels.
Dude, we need a lot of people like you in this world thanks 💯
I really appreciate that. Thank you for taking the time to watch!
You should try the iPhone 8. Even thought it is no longer supported, it is still an amazing phone. It does everything you need to. I can use it for pretty much everything that an iPhone 15 can do. Older iPhones arent bad, theyre still apple and it is still good. Almost every iPhone is butterly smooth. Sure, saying that you got an iPhone 8 or iPhone se doesnt sound as cool but you shouldnt care about that. Just get a phone that does what you want and need it to do.
Im using iPhone 8 & its cool 🎉
i agree i use s20 ans 256gb X fine
Nice and I use a iphone xr and it's running great since 2020
@@freddy-oy5ueI also have an iPhone XR and since iOS 17 I have constant stutters and visual glitches, apps constantly become unresponsive and I have to relaunch them. My next phone will be Android, because this is the state iOS is in. Even people with the latest iPhones say the same things. I think apple doesn’t care about the quality anymore because they know people will still buy it because android is different and also because of the status. The same thing happened with previous versions too. They usually fix all the bugs a couple months before the new version comes out and breaks everything again.
i have an iPhone 8 Plus.
Love your take on the simplicity
I like the videos. keep up the good work, you have a good opinion on said subjects and related genres, I like how you approach different categories
Ive watched so many of your videos and legit thought you had millions of subscribers!!! I was shocked to see thats not the case, You deserve so much more! And if you read this.. keep going man!
I really appreciate the comment. Thank you for taking the time to watch my videos!
Amazing video! It's my first time watching you, and let me tell you, you have a way of explaining facts that seem philosophical. I'm considering switching back to Apple after a couple of years with Android, and after seeing your video, I think I will opt for an older model that just does the job. Why do we have to keep staring at those screens? Why should we give them our FULL attention 24/7? You've gained a new subscriber!
I have an iPhone 12 mini and I’m perfectly happy with it! No more new unless this one doesn’t work at all anymore! I will buy the same one if I had to get another iPhone! All I need is mine that I have had for over a year now and doing great! Love this video and I totally agree with it!👌
I use since last August iPhone 7Plus and I have no problem with it.
Such a genuine person and honest review on things and providing great information. Thanks Sir❤... iphone se is the perfect combo of handy and power.
Love this phone mate, light yet powerful
yo my iPhone SE 2020, I got in 2020 about a month after it came out is my daily driver and it has aged very well can confirm, original battery as well
I happen to agree I work in retail selling phones and sim plans for a mobile network and the amount of people coming into upgrade from a 13 is pretty insane. I have a 15 myself but only because my dad was looking to upgrade as his phone was 7+ years old and it made more sense to give him my current phone at the time. The difference is minimal and the only difference ivies noticed is better battery life on my 15 plus simply because of the bigger size bigger battery. I assume if they made a 13 plus not just pro max it would have the same effect. It handles my day to day tasks in the exact same way. There was zero lag or reason to upgrade my 13.
Hi. Thanks to your video I just bought the SE3. 😅
Writing on an SE first gen, I luv it! So small and yet so powerful and modern
I had the se 2022 and I enjoyed the phone in particular the log in button ( can’t remember the exact name) I found that very useful when accessing the phone when I needed to. My battery was just as good if not better than the iPhone 13 mini I up graded too but the screen quality was what made me change. But a brilliant phone nevertheless
Huh… that call bug you mentioned actually brought back some memories for me. My iPhones do that for me, so I think it might be an iOS issue (I’m also not on T-Mobile)
i used one of the same for my dailly and it awesome i love it!
I currently use the iPhone 13 but did use the SE 2020 for 3 years since 2021 and in my opinion its a good budget iPhone for people starting to get phones
I use this as a backup phone, matter of fact im typing on it rn and it is so timeless performance wise. I have a 15 as a main and don’t notice performance difference unless they are side by side.
The only reason why I wanted a newer iPhone was the battery life. I always put on music on my headphones when I'm going somewhere and every morning from my home to my school (which is 20-25 minutes away) my battery percentage on my SE dropped to 80%. It always died around noon with my usage. If I didn't use it that much, it lasted until 4 in the afternoon.
Had my SE since 2021, and while the two main complaints about it would be the camera and the battery life, it still functions perfect for me 4 years later. It’s put me into a position where I have no clue if and what I go to next.
Lol I’m still on my 8 Plus! Still does all I need and love the 1080p 16:9 screen. Like 10% of people I can’t use OLED anyway! I’m bummed that the SE 4 is going to be OLED
Whats with OLED tho?
@@Af.frederichI think it has to do with the refresh rate of OLED, some ppls eyes can’t adapt to it. I know I’m probably way off but it’s something like that.

Ive had mine since launch date. No complaints here at all. Been an Android guy and the se3 is my first iphone. Waiting for what the se4 has to bring to us
how bout the batterly life? is it can holds for a day?
I bought new SE 3 couple months back, been using it since then and tbh i love the device. Ps for everyone complaining about battery I do charge it twice a day but I use it literally all the damn time so yeah its not that bad from my pov. And for the camera it shoots 4k 60fps which is way more than enough. Deep fusion and smart hdr 4 does make the images and videos way way better than older models. All in all A15 Bionic does it’s work pretty well. If you don’t want a big screen device and are ok with old outdated classic design then yeah this is the best device for you.
personally, i care about a phone that has a big screen so i can stream youtube. other tasks i like my phone doing is playing mobile games efficiently, good battery life, and day to day life modules that everyone needs. After recently losing my iphone 10r, i was brought with the option to purchase a 2020 se. Im going to keep it for a few months and upgrade it to a 12 or 13 pro max, since ive heard it checks off all the requirements i want in a phone. your video made me view modern phones differently. you earned a sub from me :)
if you have any suggestions for phones, pls reply here
Better buy an ipad for gaming efficiency
A pixel 4a,4a5g or 5 "review" like this would also be nice 👌. For the android side of things
i used to spend 6 hours pe day on my phone, thanks to this video i bought this phone, support from italy
i had the se 2 in 2022 up until feb 2023 when i lost it, i have gone through a lot of androids and all of them was a bad experience, and im going back to the se 2 or maybe the se 3 for an extra 80 euros.
I just bought the iph15 not bc its commercial etc but because i needed a new phone, i gave my previous one to my father because his one was close to expl0de And i keep iphones until their software support ends.. instead of saving money 100/200€ and have to spend another 1k before 1/2 years i prefer having smth that can last longer But i understand your point of view and i completely agree.
the immediate dropped calls is a t-mobile issue. i’ve been unable to pick up calls lately, but can call out just fine
You’re proving that “less is more” in this situation. But we have a lot of those at work, they’re super restricted, and the battery sucks. We have some 11 models, same restrictions, which are much better on battery.
I’m using an se 2022 that I got for $150 from Walmart after using Verizon prepaid for 2 months it’s unlocked on visible. The only limitation I have is the 64gb of storage
I'm using a se2020. My battery is horrible. It won't make it half a day. I have to put it in power saving mode. Then it comfortably makes it the whole day. Other than that issue, I mostly enjoy the phone. I don't like apple ui. But it works. I don't like spending a lot of money on phones.
he makes alot of sense.
I have an iPhone SE 2022...and I think it looks fantastic....but I don't use iPhones that much. Im a Samsung Knight. But I love the old style iPhones.(6/7/8/SE's) I MIGHT upgrade to the next SE, but I DEF won't be using a Flagship iPhone.
Should i buy this for my parents they just need a phone for calls message and WhatsApp stuff KZhead sometimes
great video, love the se lineup
I use this exact phone and T-Mobile and I’ve never gotten that Call Failed issue
A android flagship that was made in 2019 or later is very good for every phone use needed, some may lack in battery life more than others, but battery life will be better than any iphone se
i went from this phone to the iphone 13 last month and i wanna go back to my old phone so bad
Less use more battery, you win me over bro, subscription done. 😂❤
hahaha, it is a little tongue in cheek, but we could all use our phones a little less
My wife isn’t doing the most on her phone but she’s still on the SE 2020 and everything is great besides battery life but that sucked even when new. It is an iPhone 11 inside after all, still a solid phone. She doesn’t want to leave the home button interface (4s and SE1 were her last two) but I am pushing for her to go 13 Mini. Or hope to god Apple will release another phone around that size she hates how large even my 13 Pro is
Se 2024
The reason the first call didn’t go through is because of the focus mode being on or do not disturb
real! there are so many people that say this iphone is outdated and same with the third version and i disagree. the only thing i wish was bigger was the battery just because i have battery anxiety but it works fine for me even when i use my phone a lot
I think a battery case for a phone like this should actually be pretty cheap considering the design is 7+ years old. But I hear you, I am a light phone user and it even ran out on me....
yeah ive had some calling issues with my SE 2. i don't remember this on iOS 16
buen video, gracias a ti me decidí a comprarlo 🍄

Came for the “1 wee later” thumbnail. Stayed for the great content.
Hahah 😂
I always hated big phones with notch, full screen and stuff. For me, the signature of iPhone is Home button. That’s why I still use SE 2020 and I’ll only upgrade to new model for chipset, not for the horrible design…
Iphone SE 2020 Masih worthed itu bang 👍🏾
The free apps Focos and NeuralCam give you all the updated camera tools and a MagSafe case or sticker would let you use MagSafe chargers and other peripherals. A battery case could be an idea too!
Neural Cam wont to be honest...tried it and it's just nah vs iPhones with night modes aside from speed of taking night shots
2:00 Meanwhile I got Conway's Game of Life running on an old Samsung slider phone. 5.5MiB of ram, and a CPU probably at 192Mhz! Also, no virtual memory! Or even any semblance of memory safety. (You can easily crash the phone if you double free())
Ive used the iPhone se 2020 since August of 2020 and i like it but battery life is definitely my biggest concern everything else and its great
4 years, change the battery or upgrade
I’m an iPhone X user and I noticed that I’ve been using my phone way too much lately and I wanna downgrade to an SE to fix my addiction and this video has really convinced me to downgrade. Great video! Earned a subscriber.
i have an Se 2020 since 2020 and my battery is on 73% which is a problem yes but it still works perfectly even tho i am heavy user i have like 8-10 hours a day sometimes but even so i still manage very well i have no problems with it and it costed me what 400$?

On average how many hours can you use per full charge?
Me over here watching this on my SE 2020 that’s I’ve been using since, well, 2020 Definitely switching to android after this
Waiting for iPhone SE4 😊
7:17 Most of the criticism is very valid. Yet, you fail to mention that the phone you like so much only exists, because the concept you criticise works well. All iPhone SE models are past designs and that makes them affordable. This well working OS is financed by the latest and greatest. So maybe there is some merit in Apples strategy.
Using SE 2020 since October 2020
I have an iphone 13 mini but I'm thinking of buying an iphone se 2022 instead. they have the same processor so will get as many updates as iphone 13
Bro I’m a long time subscriber of your channel. And it’s my suggestion that you can come up with lot of alternative better content than these.. old iPhone in this time videos.. it’s getting monotonous. I know you are a nice person and you are capable of bringing some great content. I hope you reflect on this. My best wishes
I appreciate the feedback, I’m always looking to improve. I had this video in the pipeline for a while, thanks for watching and your support!
The fact that some people treat this as a challenge is pretty sad TBH. Most tech KZheadrs are just as bad at making people think they need newer more expensive phones than you do. The fact is Apple makes their phones last years and years by updating them and supporting them. Nobody absolutely NEEDS the latest and greatest phone to start every year over again. Great video
I have the SE 2 and I am definitely one of those guys who is a light phone user. No social media or games. Just call, texts and light browsing and gps. Battery lasts me all day plus more. Battery health is 99%. So no complaints. He is correct, use your phone less and it won’t die more. I love that he preaches using less and less. I love that. Because that’s a great message to spread amongst all the crap Apple and smartphones manufacturers try to market every year. I could care less about the “latest and greatest” the phone works great and I have no complaints whatsoever. I say for go either the se 2 or 3. Cheers!
I appreciate the kind words! Thank you for taking the time to watch
I use the iPhone 8 and it's working fine.
I just got the pixel 7a last year. While the phone is amazing its a bit much. I feel like i should have gotten the SE when i switched from my 10r
Did you try removing the SIM card and reinserting again? This happens to me when I switch between my older iPhone SE 2016. Do you enjoy this SE 2020 or the iPhone 12 mini?
If I were to choose a phone, I would probably lean towards the 12 mini because of the ultra wide camera, and nothing else. That is the biggest difference that I am noticing in using. But I am an outlier that films a lot. If you just film basic things I would lean 2022 SE, for the extra years of security updates
@@techno_eclipsethanks for the response. I might just have to try the 12 mini, I’ve had my SE 2020 for about 3 years now and would like the change to the new design.
I feel like Apple knew what they were doing with the SE 2022, since I see now more and more people "downgrading" to it in today's age of scoial media boom and being constantly online. There's a phone just good enough for phone stuff, but one that will also not intrigue you into staring into it for hours every day. I'm seriously thinking of swapping my 13 Pro for the SE, I'm tired of the digital life and "good" phones.
DO IT!!!

You really do not need the nevest, the greatist. iPhone 12 and as you showed the SE, they are still pretty good phones. And nowadays it also aplies to Android. Yousing something like Galaxy S21 is still more than good.
Agreed! I am actually looking forward to testing out a Galaxy s21 or something along those lines here pretty soon. Any suggestions?
I think S21 is still a good choice but if you can grap someting newer like S22 for good price than why not. But for me perosnally S21 is enough. I used till december 2023 when i switched to iPhone.

IM WORKING ON IT!!!
I find that in these type of videos. About how the older phones are just fine for today, and ppl only want them as a status symbol. Really only take there point of view into account. I know a lot of ppl where their phone is business related too. So many people are content creators in some form. Nobody wants no small battery that they have to keep charging more than once through the day. Phone calls and camera take up a lot of battery. If they are editing on there phone too. Nobody wants that blown out camera so people keep focusing on that white background instead of the content they are creating. Besides only having one lens for less dynamic shots. This goes for small business owners as well. Putting up content on social media for marketing. IDK it could be because I live in NYC, but these are majority of the people I know. The minority of ppl use their phone as he describes. Uber drivers and delivery people as well gps kills battery. For a lot of people their phones are a tool not a point of pride and self worth. The need for their phones to be fast powerful and efficient is real and practical. You aren’t getting that with an SE I’m sorry to tell ya.
Interesting, you watched a video that had portions filmed on this camera, and of the 20,000 ish views no one has complained about the quality. I don’t totally disagree with you though, but I also think people are more than willing to use the above as excuses to upgrade and buy a bigger and better phone. I do use my phone for work, but only to take phone calls, emails, and texts. For me I don’t need more than this, but I definitely appreciate your perspective! Thank you for the well thought out comment and taking the time to watch!
@@techno_eclipse I love watching your content!! It just grinds my gears for some to act like it’s all about vanity, for everyone with the latest technology, when it’s simply not!
