I love how things that weren't even in original Mario games just fit in with the art style. It just works

Ultimate Ultimate and what makes it even better is that Nintendo is actually listening to complaints and adding online with friends in multiplayer, so that means that multiplayer will be even better than we think.

Mario Maker 2 is my Past, Present, and Future.
Seeing the beginning of this video immediately made me think of creating a level where you ski down a mountainside. Watching Mario Maker videos has been really useful in helping me hatch ideas for this game.
The ice night theme looks so gorgeous. I'm getting more excited with each day.

Night castle does exist, It just hasn't been shown yet.
@@theivoryguy2476 I think it's alright. More exciting is the fact that enemies DON'T swim, making their movement patterns trickier to navigate around.

How about Buster Beetle and Blue Bricks? Buster Beetle hasn't gotten any love at all...
@Graham Morcom Buster Beetles were first introduced in SMB3, they would pick up and throw blue bricks I haven't seen them at all in any other Mario game since SMB3. The player could also pick up and throw blue bricks as well.
@Graham Morcom Maybe they wouldn't be limited to blue bricks... Maybe if you put something on top of them, they would throw that item/enemy? Maybe they could pick up springs and it would be a moving spring (I don't think that was possible in SMM1, but I could be wrong) There are ALOT of possibilities with this one enemy now that I think about it, wooaahh
I really dig Sam's delivery and speaking voice. She does a really good job.
The two on left are really good at what they do. And they seem to have so much fun doing it too.

Super sweet! Players can switch whichever character they want to play as instead of having Mario always being played by Player 1.
They also did this in Mario U Deluxe. The game still isn’t worth getting, but it’s great that you can do that
Ahh Ah animates yeah, MM2 has an entire story mode the size of NSMBUD, and that’s not even the whole game
I hope you fan play as other characters in other modes, including Online levels!

The castle night theme is amazing.
Can you land on Icicles at all? An update that should be done is embiggen them to turn them into falling platforms that stab the ground and give Mario a step up like in Mario games.
I believe it was in the invitational that people had to run on the falling icicles. EDIT: yeah I’m pretty sure the final boss there had you stand on them to kill it
yeah, you can. it was required in the final level of the invitational

Koji Kondo did amazing with the new music for the new course themes! (As he always does) Not to mention the new sprites for objects and characters! The team did an amazing job capturing the classic Mario feel for things that weren’t even in the original games!

I'm so happy we can play multiplayer offline
Three things I noticed: 1. Toadette doesn't swim as if she's wearing the penguin suit (unlike NSMBUD) 2. Luigi doesn't have custom animations for the SMW style (unlike SMAS+SMW even though his sprites are from that game) e.g he doesn't cough out fireballs or slide on his knees 3. By disconnecting and reconnecting controllers, you can choose which character you want to be in multiplayer

Mystery mushroom would take more time than simply adding online friends, let alone licensing issues. I'd rather just be happy with what we have for now
I’d say demanding’s a strong word but I don’t know what to believe anymore. Anyway I’m fine with what we have for now, I do want to see more power ups that *isnt* the mystery mushroom in a later update ( cause there’s no time to add them in unless they’ve been in development all this time, but I’m sure they would’ve shown them by now ) and if not then oh well

The best part I like about Mario Maker 2 is definitely Multiplayer mode. Every multiplayer course, if played along with other users, gives us so much fun and laughing. 😙
There's something so hilarious about the players panicking and running about while the Super Mario 64 slide music plays.
