Fun fact: Actually this insane FPS is not thanks for the sodium mod only, its also the new 22.7.1 driver what fixed the OpenGl issues with radeon cards.

I love my AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB. I bought mine at the end of 2018. It's still pretty decent for 1080p gaming.

You should also use Phosphor and Lithium along side with Sodium as it is recommended by all and is the ultimate fps booster

Chocapic13 has surprisingly good performance while still looking great
I think the sodium mod that’s built in to Iris works by only rendering the face of the blocks that you can see, and so you get vastly better frames

The newest Radeon driver hugely improves opengl performance especially minecraft java edition.

For future reference, HRR3 is completely bugged on AMD drivers. HRR 2.1, the previous version, works on iris and optifine on AMD. (And performs better than hrr3)

For AMD I'd suggest *Complementary Reimagined* , new shader from the same guy that made the best shader for AMD and it's even better optimised Also now I'm bought on updating the driver, right now my RX 480 is getting me 100 fps without shaders on iris, I was suspicius that the update will cause problems with iris
After updating the driver I'm at 140fps, with Complementary Reimagined shaders it's 78-90fps, that's a 20-40fps increase, but my Ryzen 1200 is definetly long overdo for an upgrade Core usage is significantly different that last time I've checked Core 1 - 19% Core 2 - 20% Core 3 - 84% Core 4 - 84% I also have a blank screen with Chocapic V9, weird that 480 and 580 experience this

You can toggle shaders on and off with one key, it loads instantly compared to optifine.

being able to run so many shaders will maintaining fps well above 60, it might just be the perfect extremely tight budget gaming gpu
If you want to spawn a lot of jacks, its called an Ocelot so u can spawn them :)
I would recommend using Linux on amd cards while playing minecraft. The Linux Amd drivers are so superior compared to the windows drivers. I am talking 60% more fps and less stutters using shaders atleast. On my rx 6600 i got 200 fps using sildurs extreme, while on windows i get stuttery 80 fps with terrible frame times. Tested using garuda linux which i would recommend if you are interested. (it preinstalls minecraft lol) or try using wayland which gives even more performance. On amd you need to use linux to get good shader performance.
Man the rx 580 is still a good card even at 2022 I had it in my pic before and rhe only reason I switched was I wasn’t using the full power of monitor

Cool to see you are using sodium. I’ve been using Sodium now for a while and there is one thing I hate about it. Whenever I play there seems to be no smoothening, anti aliasing AT ALL so it’s looks like I’m playing on the lowest resolution even tho I’m playing on 1440. I know u guys can help me right? When I use Optifine it’s better but the fps isn’t, must be some setting Sodium doesn’t have

Locking the FPS on RivaTuner keeps the frametime as stable as possible, even better than the built-in FPS limiter in games.

One thing that iris excels at is utilizing more of your GPU
Bad frametime is the 22.7.1 driver issue. While without shaders performance is great, with shaders driver bugs out.
I wonder if you’d be able to get stable performance out of a 2 core 4 thread processor using Iris/Sodium. I tried Optifine and it works but only if you walk around instead of run 😭

Also there is a modpack called Fabulously Optimized which includes all the optifine features like zoom, shaders, connected textures etc, except it is based on the sodium mod so it runs very well, I would recommend that if you are trying to get optifine parity on fabric.
You should do this test again with a faster GPU something like an RX 6600 or RTX 2060 or better
I think you can use Oceano shaders they are really cool imo
You should try Sildurs Enhanced Default. It design for low end devices shader.
Press the o button to open the shader menu quickly and k toggle it

I enjoyed your video and it impressed me. So may I ask you a question? My gpu is 6600xt and I am using complementary shader. However, AMD software does not recognize Minecraft as a game, so my frame rate is lower than expected. Also, the gpu's mhz seems to be very low. Do you know how to solve this problem?
One funny thing is that using Amd Software's in-game overlay and metrics overlay improves the frame rate. But it doesn't always work, it's probabilistic.
I'm not sure, but metrics overlay seems to help the computer recognize minecraft as a game program. My English is terrible because I am Korean, but I hope the meaning is conveyed well

Use complementary reimagine shades they're better then v4.4 complementary and get like 20fps+ in my 1050 ti
i bought minecraft using microsoft account. im soo confused i have an rx 6600xt and it only goes up to 20-40% usage and i also have an i5 10400f that also only goes up to 20-40% usage. how do i even bottleneck either one of these because i cant even force minecraft to use my all cpu to its full potential! its so frustrating fps without shaders is only 170 - 400.

I figured out how to make sildurs water look like SEUS one, go on shader options, colors,water color and set water alpha to 0 , apply settings and there is the trasparent water

Hey, i've got the RX 570 8GB XFX and i don't why but it seems like that every games i play have bad anti-aliasing, the only good one is TAA but it's not very good because of the ghost effect idk how to explain that. But somebody knows if it's a problem from my graphic card or my motherboard or something else ? Because in the internet they say it will always be like that (idk if i made mistakes my english is not the best)

ur little rx 580 consumes wapping 185W power! even gtx 1070Ti TDP is 180W! but performence is much more superior compare to ur little rx 580 even 75W 750Ti is equally performance in terms of minecraft when look other titles gtx 1650 Super with TDP 100W is 5% faster over RX 580 with TDp 185W! with better media engine (NVENC)
To play minecraft you need pretty much linux on amd. Amd has so much better linux drivers. That way you get the performamce to actually expect. My rx 6600 gets 200 fps using sildurs shaders. On wincrap i barely get 100 and so many stutters. Your rx 580 would be amazing on linux.

@@cl00x3r Obviously RX 580 loses in efficiency to newer GPUs, but especially pre-pandemic, it was available, especially used, for prices even GTX 1650 non-super never hit. In my country, RX 580 8GB is priced very close to GTX 1050Ti. 185 Watt is not a deal breaker at such price/performance.
@@cl00x3r Your info on RX 580 matching 750Ti outdated? recently, drivers have improved performance massively, also 750Ti is significantly slower now, at least comparing this video to the older 750Ti IRIS video.
