Free City Violation Mow For Disabled Woman| Free Front Lawn Makeover for public Nuisance

I drove around for 2 hours looking for a good yard to make a video of, finally found this one. It had a violation paper on the door. As soon as I started to mow the nieghbor showed up, I asked if the place was empty, and she said no, the lady that lives here is staying with family now, because she is not doing well health wise. Sounds like the perfect place for me to mow, because that’s exactly the kind of people I want to help.

She shouldn't have had to though. The neighbors should've stepped in. Now she can be proud of her yard and it's all thanks to your hard work. You did an amazing job. • You have no idea what the situation is. Maybe that elderly lady has been the biggest asshole neighbor the entire time they have been neighbors. Maybe she was a dick to their kids or poisoned their dog because she didn't like the barking. Age means nothing. The fact that her lawn looks like that tells me she is such an insufferable human being that in her old age no one she has had in her life cared enough about her to help take care of her now that she can't take care of herself. It took the charity of a stranger to get anything done.

    • My parents help out neighbors whenever they need it. Even if they don't ask but need help they'll get it. During a storm my neighbor had a tree that fell over in his driveway. We let him use ours and the next day a bunch of teens/kids in the neighborhood borrowed their parents tools and helped cut it out of the driveway. Some of them even took some of the wood for firewood. Some parents were out there helping to clear the driveway. It was done in a about a day with all the help they had. My dad even went out of his way and helped cut down the tree in that was in the road instead of having someone come out. There were downed power lines so he had them shut off power to them before cutting it out of the road. My dad is friends with the neighbor and they'll help eachother out sometimes even when no one asked for help. They'll go out of their way to help out other neighbors when they can too.

  • Thank you for doing your part to care for the elderly/disabled! We all have to do our part to help others. Even if it's small (although that was quite a bit!) , it makes a HUGE difference to them! ❤

  • I'm amazed at the number of people who ignore a neighbor in need. I know plenty of people who routinely take care of their neighbors yards or occasional tips to a doctor. I couldn't possibly live next door to a yard like that without mowing it.

  • Neighborhood-The condition or quality of being neighbors; the state of dwelling or being situated nigh or near; proximity; nearness: as, neighborhood often promotes friendship. Neighbor-A fellow human. As a people we fail far to often to help those around us. Keep being that good example.

  • I'm so glad there are still good people to help someone in need. The neighbors felt her property brought the neighborhood down but wouldn't help her are probably the same people who complained to the local government to have something done. It would have been at her expense.

  • Hi, Josh! That was obviously a very challenging lawn to mow. You did a terrific job! Thanks for helping out that disabled homeowner.

    • Here is another idea, after I retired I gave my assistance to a growing family. Yes, for free. One day a week, I would come for 4hrs and help mother with anything. I would encouraged her to have coffee with friends or shop without her kids ( 2 toddler, 1 newborn). I am still there 16yrs later and total of 9 kids. Most people know single mom or dad, they need a break but can not afford to pay someone. I have what I needed (not rich, tight budget) and could not ask for more. I feel so blessed doing this, I wish more people would try this. 😊😊😊
