This lion had been staring down my wife for awhile before this video began. When she finally approached the glass, you can clearly see how desperately the lion just wanted to have her scooter. Or to eat her. You decide.

  • I never saw a lion lay on his side and move his front legs like that. I thought that was so cool - and adorable. When he jumped on the glass, it startled me. Animals are unpredictable. But such a handsome lion. You showed them what you are made of, big fella. A happy and long life to you. ♥

  • This is actually very interesting, and if what the title is actually being what the lion wants, its so cute. I mean, its really hard to tell what the lion wants, for one his was staring at the scooter, so he may have been trying to figure out what it was. We’ll never actually know what was going through his head, but it is definitely a possibility that he wanted to experiment with the scooter, just like how they like to play with balls and one, a lion named Saeed, liked to play with and lay in boxes. Familia Felidae are curious by nature and the members greatly resemble each other, so its hard to tell what had the lion’s attention. Regardless of what he actually wanted it was cute to see him pawing at the scooter after he laid down. I hope that other people are willing to see that we’ll never truly understand an animal’s mind and will stop believing that we always know what they’re thinking, because we’ll simply never know.

  • From what I've read supposedly it's almost impossible to stand that close to a lion or tiger and have it lunge at you and you not flinch, I don't care how tough you think you are but if a creature like this lunges suddenly at you even though you know intellectually that there is the glass barrier, you will instinctually jump if not even scream like her. You can't help it, it's wired into the our reptillian brain that knows on a deep level that this thing can eat you

    • Wrong, at least on one factor. It doesn't matter WHAT creature lunges at us, even if we know it won't hit us or hurt us, a person will flinch. It's our fight or flight response at having another creature coming at us. We're designed that way to avoid getting hurt. A person would have a similar reaction to a mouse jumping at their head. Or even a none venomous snake striking at them, even at a smaller size.

    • He doesn’t want to be free, he was born there, its all he knows. Just like if you were born in a city 500 years ago that didn’t have any villages for miles around, you’d be happy where you were and wouldn’t seek more because you didn’t know what was out there in the world. You’d at least be told horror stories by your family of the dangers that lurked in the forests and monsters that were waiting to snatch you up. At least in most zoos animals are cared for and actually get to live a full life.
