We faced a major setback when our train was delayed by a whopping 12 hours, but that didn't stop us from pursuing our dream to visit this iconic landmark. We had to make do with a bus ride to reach the Golden Temple, but what awaited us was worth all the trouble! We explored the area and indulged in some lip-smacking food. The richness of Punjabi culture abounds in the food, and we made sure to try everything that we could. We then headed to the Golden Temple lake, where we took a refreshing bath at 3:30 am in the morning. It was a surreal experience that we will never forget. We then had the opportunity to have darshan of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji inside the Golden Temple. The atmosphere was serene and peaceful, and we felt a sense of immense gratitude being in that divine presence. Despite the initial setback, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Golden Temple, and it will remain etched in our memory forever.
