Have you guys been using the 18w fast charger that came with the phone? I got my 11 pro Max last week and I’m worried that using the fast charger every day will degrade the battery faster? The battery is a beast though, best battery on a phone I’ve ever had. When I’m working during the week it lasts me two whole days easily. 😁👍🏻
@@jonnygti yea, I recently upgraded to the new 12 pro max but the 11 pro Max’s batter, even at 80% after a year of use would still last me I’d say about an hour more than the 12 pro max at 100%. It’s insane. Although I have been waking up earlier as of lately so that might be a factor😭as for th charger, I don’t think it’ll effect your battery life in general
@@karma1351 when you say your old 11 pro Max on 80%, I’m assuming you mean the normal battery level on the Home Screen? Not the battery health in the settings? If it’s battery health I’d love to know what your usage is to have lost 20% health in 12 months!😂

Go for Iphone 12 pro 1. If you need 5G 2. If you have a lot of cash Otherwise stick with your 11 pro
Only few places broadcast the 5th gen. , it’s too early and it’s only a thing for people who have to transfer very big files. Most people don’t going to use or can’t use it ( no broadcasting the 5th gen. ). iPhone 12’s pro camera is the only difference, together with the new design. If you’re not a professional photographer, 11pro is a great choice. If you can buy the 12pro because money is not a thing, go ahead and be aware of the luck you have, most people are using older phones, because of the money. Don’t waist your money on things you don’t need or you have to spare a slice of bread out of your mouth. If you only want to communicate with other people, iPhone 7 does the same as iPhone 12, even if you have to use a little power bank. Stay safe, healthy, strong, happy and be blessed ✌️🍀❣️

A useful review, thanks! I have an 11 Pro Max, an 8 Plus and a 6s Max, all working on "trickle down" through the family. The 6s Max will drive the next upgrade when it drops out of support around September 2021. Having seen this, it pretty much confirms what I'd suspected, that the 12 Pro Max just doesn't give nearly enough benefits to warrant upgrading early. I will wait for the 13 Pro Max and hope that it comes with 3 major improvements: 1. The return of Touch ID. 2. A usefully larger screen over the 11 Pro Max. 3. A greatly reduced notch.

Notwithstanding, I keep watching your videos and these make me understand that it's not necessary to upgrade this year, if I don't care about 5G. I might wait till next year, though. Hopefully 5G and battery Life make a better team on the 13 pro max :) Thanks again. I also would like to ask you about the scratches now that you mentioned it. Can I replace the display with apple care even when I just have some minor scratches, or do I actually need to crack the screen to be able to replace it? I think upgrading your phone yearly is crazy🤑. I still have the S5 and my niece has the 8+🤪. The only reason I’m getting one is bc my S5 doesn’t always work it crashes a lot but I have never rebooted it either in fear of loosing pictures lol.

@@TazzKId I own an iPhone 11 Pro Max. The one I bought on launch day. By proper speakers, I meant true, balanced stereo sound. Not using the ear piece which sounds terrible. Don't get me wrong, this thing get's loud as hell and the bottom speaker has some good low end response from a phone. But using the ear piece as another channel is literally a sorry excuse for claiming the phone has "stereo speakers". That's like having two different speakers. Which defeats the purpose of stereo. Now, the iPad Pro on the other hand, now that's a great implementation. Stereo sound in all orientations. And, they even went to design the DSP to adjust lower frequencies to the bottom speakers and higher frequencies to the top most speakers completely depending on orientation. This helps not only with allowing the speakers to handle more volume, but also with stereo imaging. I suggest listening to an iPad Pro if you haven't already to some music with good left/right separation and from a quality source like Tidal. That's the type of things that Apple used to do back in the days of Steve Jobs. Thinking Different. I would put money on if Steve knew about the "stereo" speakers on the iPhone 8-12s, He'd not let it pass. The notch wouldn't have passed either. Even the charger no longer included would pass. Apple really messed that one up and I was disappointed. "You all already have charging blocks" Ok, I get that, but then throw in a USB C cable and now you need an adapter or a new block... Completely defeats their point...

I went from an 11 ProMax to the 12 ProMax. I gifted the 11 ProMax to my daughter and while I enjoy the 12 ProMax I wonder if it was worth the additional cost. I do enjoy the better ergonomic hold (square edges) and better camera.

I have the 11 pro max midnight green 256gb & honestly this phone is a savage. I have all day battery, the pictures & videos are amazing, also talk & text work great! I was going to upgrade but they are similar and if I’m gonna upgrade I want more change but that’s just me. Either way they are both great.

Honestly, you might as well. Those phones will be getting the 120Hz display. I currently have a 11 Pro, upgraded from a 8, and I'm definitely waiting for the 13.
@@nyx3983 They are just rumors and may not be true. I remember how everyone last year kept saying the 2020 iPhone would be a huge change with so many great features like usb-c, 5g, and no notch. But.. look at what we got this year. You can keep playing the waiting game, but be prepared to get disappointed if Apple does not implement the rumored features.
I went from Xs max to 12 pro max No regrets (other than cost) easier to hold, screen is better, battery life is massive upgrade Biggest benefit is the x55 modem, my xs max was nearly useless at work because of POS intel modem, the x55 doubled my data rates on LTE and I can make phone calls from my desk again

11 Pro Max to the 12 Pro in Pacific blue on launch. Very happy with the size medium that they settled on for the regular sized 12's. The 11 pro was too small imo, and the 11 with the LCD display was a nonstarter. 11 Pro Max was already on the too big side of things, so there was no way I was going to the 12 PM with the even larger size+square edges. Battery life has been great, and your reviews helped me make my decision!

Hey Aaron, I finally bit the bullet today and upgraded from my 7 Plus to the 12 pro Max. I did the upgrade through Best buy since I had to take care of other things as well. I really think the 12 pro Max is the closest size to the plus models because of the bezels on the plus the screen on the max actually are really on par length wise. I have also adjusted to Face ID, and the new gestures, wasn't as big of a pain I thought it would be. Also, my 7 plus was considered in perfect condition even after 3 years, so got $150 trade in so reduced the 12 Pro Max cost quite a bit, and has also lowered my monthly cost quite a few dollars as well. I got the gold 128 GB, was hoping for blue, but didn't have one in stock with the capacity which would have saved me money. It's ok though, my 7 plus was gold, and this is an interesting change gold sides and back with a black screen instead of white bezels. Also was able to restore in store from an iCloud backup 2 days old, and my new phone is now identical to my old, and everything seems to be working. Upgraded to 14.2.1 when home and all seems well. Also turning off true tone reduces the Yellow tint, without it on the screen looks much better when it comes to accurate color. Thanks again for the videos, and the feedback.
Staying with my 11 Pro Max til the 13 comes out ! Bought it new from day 1 no problems at all only thing is the battery health from 100% to 94% within a yr I don’t think that’s bad at all and I’m a heavy user . Hopefully the 13 is worth it

Man I came from 11 pro max, upgrade ev year, got the 512gb graphite 12 pro max, even the step frm 11 to 12 was awesome, in alot of ways to be honest, I had the XS Max got my 11 pro max, didn’t really feel to much of a change, but the 11 pro max to the 12 pro max was massive, not 1 bit of regret what’s so ever..
I upgraded from my xs max to the 12 pro max; and there’s definitely a difference. Camera and video is god tier, and you’ll even notice a huge difference in battery life. I could easily go 2 days without charging the 12 pro max based on my usage.

Just upgraded from an iPhone X to the new iPhone 12 Pro Max. I’m absolutely loving this phone. I highly recommend if your coming from a older iPhone.

I think so as today’s flagship phones are so very expensive.
I’m coming off of an 8+, my phone is coming in the mail on the 24th, I’m so excited to upgrade I have so many problems with this phone.
@@rainoot2879 I just did the same. Mine decided to get stuck in a reboot loop a few weeks before I was supposed to get it traded in8 it’s been stuck since December 22nd but I have my new phone and I’m getting the 8 fixed tomorrow
@@_ItsJordyn24 yeah I got mine on the 18th, I was happy when it came early, my 8+ was very bad with battery health and was just getting slow and doing weird stuff

@@mariannaan.1718 The 12 is better. But the design of the 11 is better in terms of comfort. In general they're the same though, so just get the one you can afford

Hi Aaron, I realise this is a long time after this video was posted, but I wanted to thank you for a concise, well thought out video, addressing all the key points for me. My wife just moved on to my 11 pro max from a 7 plus and I bought an excellent second hand 12 pro max, both 256gb. I do prefer the rounded form of the 11 to the square edges of the 12. Other than that, all good!

I currently have an iphone X and would love to switch to the iphone 11 pro max because of the almost 4000 mah battery, instead of the puny 3600 mah of the 12 pro max, I know that the 5nm processor helps with efficency but on the tests the 11 pro max still comes up as the battery king, I just hate when apple reduces the capacity of the batteries, and now not even providing a charger
I've used the 11 pro max since January and the battery is still going strong, getting me about 12 hours of screen on time, lasting about 48 hours or sometimes more. (I charge it every 2 days). The battery life alone, not to mention the cameras, makes it the best iPhone I've ever owned! :)

that's the video I was looking for since the iPhone 12 series came out. I switched from the 11PM to the 12PM and except for the squared off edges, they both feel basically the same phone
what about the weight?
@@connor25 the iPhone 12 Pro Max weighs 2 grams more than the iPhone 11 Pro Max (228gr vs. 226gr) so for the weight, it is almost imperceptible
Do you like the squares off sides? That’s the only thing I’m iffy about with the 12 Update: got the 12, love the squared edges

Not been able to pysically go to store and compare the size with the 11pro max which I have because of lockdown. Is it noticeably larger or not particularly?
There's a couple of things to be said if you want to upgrade from your current phone to one of these two. If you have an older phone and want one of these, you basically have to know your priorities. To put it simply, if you like the square design, if you want a better screen, top performance, and a battery that even though has less capacity than the one in the 11, is actually better because of the OLED Display, and can spend a good deal of money, than choose the 12 pro Max (i didn't mention the cameras because it's not that much of a leap). But if you want a really good phone, with a good screen (even though is LCD), with good battery life, and can do pretty much everything the 12 can for slightly less money (still is expensive though), than choose the 11. But if you have the 11 and want to upgrade to the 12 i'd say it's not worth it because it's a lot of money for a phone that isn't that much better. I would suggest you to upgrade to the 12 only if you currently own versions previous to the Iphone 11.

Great Video. Leaves me still thinking if I should upgrade my 11 pro max ? Or not. Will the Hallide App be a better choice Or go for 12 Pro Max ? Are there any other major upgrades which should force me or any of us to go for an upgrade??? Any thoughts or advise is welcome.
