Vocal range is irrelevant, it’s tone that’s important.
@joshuajackson47423 жыл бұрын
@@joshuajackson4742 tone has nothing to do with skill it’s subjective. The sound of someone’s voice doesn’t take away or add to skill. Range does show skill level. If you have the range you clearly have the ability/skills and technical understanding in how to support and reach said notes.
@Hyxnjxn3 жыл бұрын
@@Hyxnjxn that isn't true whatsoever. Reaching notes isn't difficult. I don't think you're a singer lol. Range doesn't show skill level at all. You saying tone has nothing to do with skill is completely baffling to me, I'm a singer, pianist and a saxophone player and I work daily with other singers. Tone is influenced by how you shape the vocal tract, larynx position, free movement of the vocal chords, and vocal onset all which are learnt skills and more important than how taught the cords are stretched, which is all reaching a note is. You literally don't know a single thing about singing. According to you anyone who can howl a high note out like a banshee dying would be a good singer. Range is more biological predetermined than tone is and has nothing to do with how good a singer is. Please know what you're talking about before commenting in future. This is ecstatic! It delves into the desires one has from a romantic/sexual relationship and basically asks one to be verbal about it. It also talks about how women feel when lusty eyes follow them around, but those smirks and smug comes not from some random trivial person, but the pearl of their eyes. They embrace the tension, the heat and the attention antithetical to their feelings of disinterest, disgust and panic. It explores against the template that women are not at all sexually aroused, away from the norm and stereotypes. I love it!

why is no one talking about her vocal range, it’s insane
this isn’t live but i have no doubt she could do it live
Vocal range is irrelevant, it’s tone that’s important.
@@joshuajackson4742 tone has nothing to do with skill it’s subjective. The sound of someone’s voice doesn’t take away or add to skill. Range does show skill level. If you have the range you clearly have the ability/skills and technical understanding in how to support and reach said notes.
I’m getting tired of say so tho she needs to perform shine more...
She could literally release an album called Say So. Each track is Say So. But each track sounds completely different. I’d buy it. Was not expecting this version AT ALL. 🤘🏼🔥
I’d buy it lol
Deadass that album could have 20 different verions and I'd buy it
Omg yes!!!!
Try listening her own Say So jazz version at 2:10 kzhead.info/sun/bMh-hqytjad6hps/bejne.html
PLEASE
who's watching this in 2024???
Me so shut up
been almost 3 years and im still waitng for this to appear on spotify
doja doesn’t get to perform other songs so she remixes say so into a completely different song for each performance. she’s smart
Wait is there a reason why she doesn’t get to perform other songs?
@@katherineadams5256 her management doesn’t let her
@@badgalrihri i believe you.. but why wouldn't they let her perform any other song?
@@richardwilliamsjr413 the only one that got mainstream
@@nicesponge123 ummm excuse me.... Mooo!? lol XP
I swear Doja is the only artist I believe when she says “I listen to everything really I cut across genres”
Peep Denzel currys cover of bulls on parade
not when gaga started in dance-synth pop, then did eurogothic industrial heavy metal dance, then she did edm on ARTPOP, released a jazz album, did a soft-rock country album, sang heavy metal with metallica, did a star is born crossing into multiple genres, did euro-house dance pop, and now she’s back to jazz this year.
I am your 1mil like lol
@@Webbylaflare ik it's a cover but denzel on I against I was perfect
@... lemmee hear... So far, Gaga is holding that versatility mantel for contemporary artists and I don't think Doja might be a good enough actress to pull off a movie role. We would have to see.
SHE NEEDS TO MAKE MORE MUSIC LIKE THIS!!
BRO HER VOCAL RANGE LIKE THE WAY SHE COULD SWITCH HER VOICE AND SHOUTOUT TO THE BAND ESPECIALLY THE DRUMMERRRRR
Yeah, Doja Cat is easily the best performer of the year: she’s got it all
Live
Chloe and Halle as well
Yup
Definitely top, but she doesn't beat Miley.
@@CaydenZo ehh she does she’s performed all the same songs switching them up so they are all different and we don’t get tired of them she’s so creative definitely the best of 2020
Anybody else getting Evanescence/Flyleaf feels from this??? SHE IS SO VERSATILE
Definitely flyleaf it’s almost like “fully alive” or “around me”
Yesss omg
I will BREAAAAAAKKKKKKKKK!!!
I just heard this from another room and legit ran in thinking it was Flyleaf covering Doja
Yeeeeeees
She absolutely killed it with this version. I don’t think I can listen to it any other way now 😅
THIS PERFORMANCE IS SO GOOD
She's been covering her own songs, what an icon
Dude... you said it 🤣🤣🤣🤣..icon indeed
@Avius I def wouldn't go that far.
@@1w598 did you even listen 🤣
Doja Cat: forget waiting for people to cover my songs in different styles, imma do all the covers!
i thought her new album was gonna be more like this 😫😫
I want a full album of this
As a metalhead with an open mind to other genres..this is INCREDIBLE
I listen every day and still get chills while doing so
As a lighting guy who did this video. Can confirm this was a fucking bop live
Imagine a growling backing track to this… brutal!!!
It's literally so
I know right! It's amazing she does good in all genres
Music Industry: Let's try and put Doja Cat in a box. Doja Cat: Hold my mic...

DOJA CAT WAS ROBBED AT THE GRAMMYS
ikr
hi bestie ur here too
Absolutely! Hot Pink era was an experience!!
So....yes......she is able to not have a song burn out in a month. Streets is popping right now....who knows what song will pop off next. She could go another year without an album
Cuz her producer has a bad rep. Which has nothing to do with the fact that she is mad talented. Pretty weak.
i dont want this on spotify I NEED IT ON SPOTIFY ......THIS IS A MASTERPEICE
This is talent, not no mumble shit, this. This is a peek music artist.
She has made different versions of this song that easily she could do an entire album with SAY SO rock, vintage, jazz version LOL
This should be the theme of any horror movie with a psycho female stalker. I want to see how many genres Say So can be made into
Luna Muerta- FRAGMENTS is a horror themed music vid.. but way heavier than this sound.
Jazz is next.
Country?
@@Stubbormly Michael Buble style😉
✨no✨

I love this version so much
Same
She took the "what's trendy among teens on tiktok in 2020" and turned into a version called "what's trendy among teens on MySpace in 2005". Is mid-oughts post hardcore making a comeback because I'm here for it
I fr hoped that Gaga's Chromatica sounded like this
YES! This definitely gave me strong Evanescence vibes 🦇
@@jazzimin5 ehhhh imo it's more like paramore's first album albeit with a more skilled band lol
Yesssss
Flyleaf vibes
Sorry but, why isn't more people talking about this version?
because people prefer the original version (sad i know)
They ARE talking about this version, at least more specifically the part where they ripped off Plini's handmade cities during the guitar solo.
Because its shit
Actually people are not seeing this gold yet
@Wolfgang Shields Wdym lmao
I love it!
I'm so excited for her new album. She's always been artistic and creating art outside of the box. People lately have really been thinking she's changed drastically, she's always been like this. She doesn't follow trends, she finds beauty in the abnormal and brings it out in art form. It's human to grow and she has grown creatively and small minds can't understand. I've been a fan since day one and I think her next album will silence a lot of people talking shit in her comments
You were hypin' her breakdancing days? Haha jp
I honestly think this performance was better than her Grammy performance.
this arrangement is better but what makes the grammys better for me is the choreo
this and the bbmas performance were the best live version of say so tbh
Definitely still my favorite rendition🖤
That's true, but I honestly think that she's always great ☺
Her Grammy performance was just too short. Choreo was on point tho.
bruh she literally never disappoints. the musical talent, the sexiness, the fashion, the facial expressions, the versatility in all areas. TALENTED BRILLIANT INCREDIBLE AMAZING SHOW STOPPING
"never disappoints" is in controversy for taking plini's music without any credit lmao
@@Zaliant Doja herself didn't do that. That was a fuck up on her teams part. Even Plini said the performance was awesome.
@@Zaliant she didn't give them the music sheet. The band playing the instruments decided THEMSELVES to do such a thing. She just wanted a rock version, got to perform it this way and enjoyed every second.
@@GeekedOutNeckbeard lmao so she's not even involved in the writing process? tf kinda artist is that lmao
@@Zaliant Doja makes her beats, writes her lyrics, and produces. This isn't her typical genre, why would she need to know how to write a guitar arrangement if it's not typically in her songs?
Why am I just discovering this version? NEW OBSESSION UNLOCKED🫀
Ugh I love her!! Idc what people say, I’ll always be a fan. One of the few artists actually keeping it interesting and giving us variety 🤷🏾♀️
Well, fuck yeah. As a metal head who loves the ambient, ethereal tracks like Candy from Doja, this was a pleasant surprise. She’s full of surprises.
Perfectly put
Well tbh there was a lot of Plini in there so it was bound to sound good.
Candy is r&b tho
I'm a metalhead too.And I had to admit that I am currently addicted to Doja Cat.Dont know why, maybe I didnt have any reasonable reason tho
I love how she is just as passionate/feeling herself in this as her normal performance style
She killed t because she said “Fuck you can’t box me in”

Guys, you’re missing the point. Despite the record label making her sing it, changing the genres is showing everyone how versatile she truly is.
DEFINITELY

Oh it's the record label that chooses what artists perform at televised shows?
This
EXACTLY
this version lives rent free in my head
We need this on Spotify so badly...🤧
She can pop She can rap She can rock She can dance She can joke
she protec she attac but most importantly… she roc
but can she metal scream
And she can game too
she is an icon and she IS the moment, now hold on
Nah this ain’t rock at all
Rumor I heard: Her label keeps making her sing the song and she got tired of singing the same thing over and over. So she changes the genre
Yea!!!!
It’s not a rumour, she LITERALLY tweeted “I’m tired of singing say so” or something along those words. I don’t remember exactly
I think that’s true
It’s true doja said so on Twitter which I don’t blame her, hot pink has so much other songs that could big hits like say so, such as rules, streets, like that and bottom B
@@nanaadusei6604 just because she said that, doesn’t confirm the theories.
