  • It's mesmerizing how they sound even better live than on record. Not only does Tyler put 150% to his singing but I've never seen someone as passionate about drumming as Josh is.

    • They don't sound exactly as on the albums, but it doesn't matter, they can give a really nice show, even better than a lot of artists who need to spend a lot of money to give a barely impressive show.

    • I feel like maybe this shows a sense of catharsis on his behalf... He's said before; he enjoys sad music. So Maybe this is his way; of adding to the sad music.... but also; adding more words to the story that he's going to continue telling for years to come. This song hits me in a place that I never knew existed. It hurts. but it's beautiful. I love it. so much -- It's one of those songs that I can just sit down and listen to, when I'm numb and it makes me feel something, and it's also one of those songs, that I can just sit down and cry to, if I really need it. When I think of Tyler and Josh, I don't think of "those guys that place Stressed Out." ..... I see them as melodic, harmonic, cathartic release of endorphins that help the world show it's true colors, no matter how messed up their true colors may be. I honestly love this band, more than I've loved any other band, because the messages behind their songs are deeper than any of us can or could imagine.... It's genuine. Most people just make records just to pump them out for the crowd... but these guys.... They stick it out... Slowly; steadily, surely.... they become one with the music they make, and they let their words be LISTENED TO rather than just gently hummed on the radio, being heard; doesn't mean anything if you don't listen to the words they say.

I can't help but crying everytime i hear it, not just because i relate to it, but because knowing that Tyler also felt this lack of life inside of him just hurts me so bad. Tyler is one of the strongest people in the music industry, and I thank God everyday for letting him put his emotions and his soul into his music and sharing it with us.

  • you know, people can be mean. the other day i was in class i had my earbuds in and i was listening to some twenty one pilots while doing my work. this kid (my boifran) comes over and puts one of my earbuds in his ear and listens to it and he goes, "i didn't know there was such depressing music out there, isn't this the music you cut yourself to?". i'd had it at that because he and his friends would supposedly "tease" me for being depressed and being a self harmer. so i said to him, "actually, i don't. these are the songs i listen to when i'm sad, or when i need motivation to do something. this song saved my life, but you wouldn't know because you're too busy flirting with other girls and making fun of me that you couldn't understand what i go through, and even if you did you wouldn't give a sh*t because you're a selfish d*ck that obviously doesn't want me. so you know what? we're done, i'm sick and tired of your bullsh*t so please stay out of my life. have the day you deserve." sorry this is long but i wanted to share this. btw the song that saved me was truce and addict with a pen. we don't talk anymore but he still talks crap about me but i don't give a flying frick about that prick. so uh, yeah. and also excuse my language through this whole thing...

    • I would have drop kicked his ass too. Being depressed and a self-harmer is nothing to make fun of. Without him knowing how many people, are depressed and not having any resources to help them through it, actually, kill themselves bc they can't get through it. There are hundreds of lives that have been lost, to comments like that. thank you for this my dood. Stay strong, and stay alive, because peace will win and fear will lose

  • Hello We haven't talked in quite some time I know I haven't been the best Of sons Hello I've been traveling in The desert of my mind And I Haven't found a drop Of life I haven't found a drop Of you I haven't found a drop I haven't found a drop Of water Water I try desperately to run through the sand As I hold the water In the palm of my hand Cause it's all that I have And it's all that I need and The waves of the water Mean nothing to me But I try my best And all that I can to Hold tightly onto What's left in my hand But no matter how How tightly I will strain The sand will slow me down And the water will drain I'm just being dramatic In fact, I'm only at it again As an addict with a pen Who's addicted to the wind As it blows me back and forth Mindless, spineless, and pretend Of course I'll be here again See you tomorrow But it's the end of today End of my ways As a walking denial My trial was filed as a crazy Suicidal head case But you specialize in dying You hear me screaming, "Father," And I'm lying here just crying So wash me with your water Water Hello We haven't talked in quite some time I know I haven't been the best Of sons Hello I've been traveling in The desert of my mind And I I haven't found a drop Of life I haven't found a drop Of you I haven't found a drop I haven't found a drop Of water

They have quite an odd genre but it's quite interesting. everyone around me: the guys who did car radio. I know them. • (Sorry for the late reply) What you said at the end gets me. I think they never really tell the meaning of their lyrics because they want the lyrics to mean different things to different people, but people say that this song is about Christianity or about a son and his father being separated. To me, personally, this song means a whole bunch of different things. If you want it to be or think it’s about suicide, go ahead! No one’s stopping you.

  • Damn, reading all the comments about people's hard life, their past, tyler's life and past. Everyone's saying tyler understands them, that tyler is the cure for their problems. They're "broken people".. And there's me. Loving the life, who never thought of suicide, didn't have bad thoughts and if they appeared i "cured" them by myself and as fast as i could bc i understood the meaning of life and that you shall never let dark thougths consume you. This was like the basics of life to me and i didn't need any tyler joseph to HELP me understand this through songs. And now i'm listening to TOP, loving their songs but still not feeling them with my heart as i can never trully understand tyler and his past (bc again i never had really bad moments in my life) and now i feel like i'm odd here, it feels like fandom doesn't need enjoying life people with nice past, only the ones who were suicidal and survived the same dark times as tyler...
