Lol. When i was there the steak packages say something about them being gluten free😂 Never bought a steak that wasnt. Also the cafe charges 30 dollars for a meat and 2 sides. Makes Whole Foods look cheap. Even organic food stores here in AK are way cheaper.

I never cared for cooking until I found this channel and now I'm proper into it. Since I found this channel I even changed jobs to go work for a meat wholesaler so I can get cheap meat. As well as a fully kitted out kitchen I even bought a griddle for doing the burgers I mince and make myself, and for the philly cheese steaks of course. No TV program over the last 45 years ever got me interested in cooking it was a comedian talking s*** about food that did it lol. Thanks for the new hobby Nigel.

There is a reason this place is known by everyone as the only place in Los Angeles more expensive than Whole Foods. Also, that Liquid Aminos is a fancy liquid version of MSG using coconut as the base instead of soy. It does have some soy added at the end for flavor as the initial liquid is basically clear and nearly tasteless. It's a nice way to cheat some MSG-like umami into most Asian dishes without triggering those who think MSG is evil. It's magic for potatoes (and yams) and rice. If you buy it at the normal market, super cheap as well.
We started using the regular liquid aminos when my husband had to go on a low sodium diet. It tastes essentially just like soy sauce, but without as much salt.

My son and I walked through the Erewon in Culver City and walked right out and went to Trader Joe’s instead. The prices are ridiculous. I guess the studio people can spend that much money on groceries. It makes Whole Paycheck look like the 99 cent store. I cried with you Uncle when the total price came up.
I lived in LA for most of my life and Erewon was a strange alternative universe. I live in the Cleveland area now and I have to drive far to get to Trader Joe's. There's another market here that scratches a similar itch so it's alright. Maybe there's an "in" for another market that can do what trader joe's does but to a more far flung, less affluent audience?
