First time to TIBET - Real Life of Tibetan People | EP32, S2

This is my first time to Tibet, and I am more than excited to show you the real life of people in Lhasa - the capital city of Tibet and the spiritual center of Tibetan Buddhism!
Tibet is the highest region on earth with an average elevation of 4380 meters.
I was afraid that I might get altitude sickness, but luckily I didn't!
I went to Bakor street, the old city center, and the meeting point for many pilgrims. The scene of circumambulation around Jokhang Temple is just spectacular! Then I tried some authentic Tibetan food and continued roaming around..
Join me on this new adventure in a new province - Tibet :)

  • It's incredible that you could include so much information in your video while keeping it under twenty minutes. I appreciate how you set the stage for the film, describe the events and eateries featured, then wrap things up. This is really carefully considered; kudos to you. Another fantastic video; much appreciated!

  • That shot of the Tibetan Plateau at 2.35 literally made me gasp in awe, Yam. Such an extraordinary view! Thank you for giving a magnificent bird's eye view of the most extensive region of elevated topography in the world, which has had in the past, and continues to have, an effect on regional and global climate. Then I cried, because I despair of humanity ever getting its act together long enough to work to develop coherent plans to deal with the environmental issues that we face. Thank you again for bringing this sublimely beautiful view to us.

  • Loved your Tibet vlog. Unfiltered, genuine, and judgement-free. One thing I’d add is that while you’re right that there are hui muslims in Tibet, the mosque that you show and a few other mosques in Lhasa were actually built by Tibetan Muslims who’ve been in Lhasa for more than 450 years during the 5th Dalai Lama’s reign. At that time, Muslims from Kashmir had started settling in Lhasa for business prospects and married local Tibetan women. Now the general term to describe them is Tibetan Muslims.

If the altitude exceeds 5,000 meters, most people will have headaches, dry nasal passages, and cannot fall asleep or sleep well at night. To be honest, Lhasa just needs a simple look. The county towns on the Tibet National Highway are the most beautiful.
