Mount KAILASH - Tibet's most mysterious mountain! S2, EP38
In this video I am covering two very stunning mountains of the Himalayas. At first I am traveling to a Mount Everest viewpoint. Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world with an altitude of 8848 meters. The views are just stunning.
Later, our journey took us further to the west of Tibet where I stopped by Mount Kailash. Kailash is one of the most sacred mountains in the world.
It is also said to be a very mystical mountain with a lot of legends and mysteries, like distortion of the magnetic field or the link between heaven and earth. Moreover, Kailash is considered as a very important place in 4 religions: Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, and Bön.
Therefore, the mountain attracts thousands of pilgrims throughout the year. Besides the mystical facts about Kailash, the area of the mountain is also home to two major lakes which are fueled by glacier water from Kailash: Lake Rakshastal and Manasarovar. The latter is the origin of some of the most important rivers in South Asia, such as the Indus, Brahmaputra, and even a main tributary to the Ganges River in India...
Join me on this adventure to one of the most mystic places on earth :)

Mount Kailash is a heaven place for me.. love from India ❤
As a Tibetan, if I want to introduce myself to the origin if all enlightened beings, I go to Kailash. 😢 It is unbelievable blessings. Every time I am happy, it is because of Kailash 🥹❤🙇♂️
Thank you for this amazing episode... As an Indian Mount Kailash is our holy mountain not only for Hindu but for Buddhist too it's said that Lord Shiva resides in it so we can sometimes hear the sound of Om...and many mysterious things happen when someone gets closer to it ..🙏🇮🇳
no....its ours....tibetan plateau....not indian subcontinent
As a devotee, every time I see Shiva in my dream, I see Kailash. I am so excited that you got there ❤

Yeah unseen china for its cruelty against Tibetans invading a sacred land forcefully. Lot of things still unseen to world how china have wrong intention to its neighbours a threat for peace. A rogue country can't be trusted. Their own people will suffer and Tibet never comes under china it is a free land. His holiness Dalai Lama and people of tibet will get Justice from the almighty God one day i believe it. #FreeTibet 🕊️🕊️
Thank u really good videos hope another also
I have to tell you Yan that I am new subscriber, from Dayton Ohio USA, I love your channel! I have binge watched season 2 & am starting season 1! You are so brave doing some of the things you do! I love your candid thoughts, expressions, laugh, the way you explain everything to us! Sharing your life's journey so graciously and down to earth so that we all can learn& live vicariously through you! Many of us will never get to travel to the wonderful places you have experienced, so we get to thru you!& others who do plan to go to a place you have been , these videos will help them as well! Your Videography and editing is amazing as well! I can't thank you enough for sharing your life! And I want to express my deepest appreciation for your wonderful fun channel! Sending you light, joy, great health, peace, great wealth, happiness, much success, and many blessings! Big hugs thank you!
welcome to china
Wow, the sky goddess looks like Shiva representation. This shows how cultures and religions are connected!
No one will laugh at you. The fact that you made it up to 5000m elevation and spent so many days there is already a feat in itself. Many people cant even step foot anywhere near that elevation before turning back due to elevation sickness. 🙏
@@johnnytawon780 It's free for locals. I did not see a single non-Tibetan doing the spiritual walk.
@@johnnytawon780 Has the Chinese government improved the life of Tibetan people, through massive infrastructure built? Subsidiaries? Opportunities? I saw contruction happening in almost all of Yan's videos, she does not insist on this aspect. Life it is about opportunities, and in this day and age China does offer that for all of its citizens, according to my knowledge. And in a much safer environment than "the land of the free".
@@johnnytawon780 There are many tourists like her, who just likes to take on challenge to walk around the mountain. Who will rescue them when she/he collapses in the way? I paid many times to visit Churches or Mosques.
@@johnnytawon780 It is high altitude and high risk for many people, even including Tibetans. To establish/maintain an emergency rescue is a job of any responsible government. It is unfair to use tax money to cover everything and tourists should also chip in. I don't give a shit about CCP army, but your hatred towards China is very obvious.
To johnnytawon780. China's Tibet is always belongs to China whether you like it or not. Nothing you & your group can do at all. Very mostly you & your group have no chance to go to China's Tibet in your this life. So better talk less & enjoy the beauty & prosperity of China's Tibet through KZhead.
Many places we may never travel and many people we may never meet. Thankyou for showing these places.
Walking for 8 days?! As in 192 hrs straight? You’re right, it’s insane! Love Mount Everest from 🇺🇸!
Yan you are beyond imagination 💪👍😇 love and blessings from India 🇮🇳
As a Chinese, it’s hard for me to travel to Tibet in my life because I have serious altitude sickness, once I went to Yulong Mountain and felt unbearable headache when I was at 4000 meters high. So thank you for sharing such a terrific views to us. Your video also can make foreigners have better understanding of China and mysterious Tibet.

So glad you included Mt. Kailash on your trip. I have been very interested in this pilgrimage since I learned of it some years ago. It’s a tough walk, I know, and I can understand why you decided to give up. But for those who make this pilgrimage, it must be deeply meaningful.

Another great video! My favourite moments with all your videos are when you interact with strangers on your travels. Your personality shines and we get some charming, unique moments.
You did the smart thing in knowing when to stop. Don't risk your health. We need more of your videos!
3:25 Such a remote place, such a good road.
Greeting from Malaysia, thank you for sharing your great adventure on a weekly basis. God bless you !
Learning those walking around this area, it is not difficult to understand why many in Malaysia are so serious about their religions. More to learn that China is OK with religions without blending with politics.
Ur great work needed to be praised. What you done is outstanding. Greetings from Aus.
Thank you very much! :)
100% agree with you.
I play KZhead on my tv & had to press pause at 7:01. Beautiful.
Admire the family with the child and a baby doing the Koru walk. So much determination and faith. God bless them🥰
把自己的信仰就这样传递给了下一代,然后继续围着山转。我希望你们国家未来的人民都拥有这样的信仰,拥有这样的决心和信念。
Especially the baby on back is only about one month.
Incredible to see those old traditions still exist today. I was impressed by the way those people dress for the cold.
I see the word kailash n immediately clicked ❤!

I've heard of Kailash Mountain since my childhood, but I didn't expect the devotees are walking 50 Km around it. I can't even imagine.
Awesome video. Thanks for your great work. ❤ from West Bengal India 🙏
It's really a very harsh life for the pilgrims who have to face many challenges, especially the weather. The landscape is awesome and I truly admire the religious people and wish them a good blessed life. I've never seen this kind of video of China's tough people surviving under such harsh conditions. Thank you for showing us

An unprecedented insight into the myth of the religion with a picturesque rugged and idyllic majestic mountains, your camera captures the unwavering human spirits; of course the "unseen" of the human endeavours in the pursuits of "truth" of his or her religion or rather than the beliefs. Kudos to your marvellous lens with a view of these magnificent landscape in the "unseen" China
Thanks a lot for your travel report about the Kailash *Kang Ringpoche* area. I still have very vivid memories . It was one of the highlights of my Tibet travels. When I was there in Oct. 2016 the weather was super. Temperatures were moderate, no clouds in the sky and the season for Indian pilgrims had just ended. Except for a few European and Chinese tourists there were hardly any visitors over there. In the small hotel in the village of Darshan *I think that was the name* I had a room with a beautiful view of Mt. Kailash in red color at the sunset. Unforgetable memories. The Kora was hard and since I am not a religious believer I gave it up half way. Also unforgettable were the walking along lake Manasarovar and Rakshthal. Rakashthal was more interesting because it provided a beautiul view of the 7,600 m high Mt. Naimo Nani. When I was there my trip continued further to the arid west.
It took a lot of courage to start walking around the mountain. You can always finish it later, for another video. BTW we were impressed with the new drone footage and I loved your "Thrasher" beanie hat!
After all your mountain exploring I don’t think I would want to leave the beach for a year.
But she is a mountain girl, like my wife who grew-up nearby Yam's home village. Such ladies never tire of mountain beauty & fresh air.
Awesome video ! I love it so much . Thank you for sharing . Happy week to you !
that was such a great adventure - it's just enough to get people interested in visiting. thank you.
谢谢你这个艰苦又好看的视频❤❤❤
The view is just spectacular! And the devotees are incredibly strong! Last but not least, you did great too! Congrats!

Wow, you did so well, doing what you managed to do. All in the name of showing your many fans and viewers!! Thank you! Sadly, it is something that I will not be able to do, but, you have given a wonderful glimpse into a part of the world that is mystical. The dedication of the pilgrims is astounding. Again, it is wonderful to see how friendly everyone is. Have a great weekend!!
Just love your vlogs & adventures! Don't worry about your walk. No point in totally exhausting yourself. And still, when you got to the village you found a ride to your next town! I might have called it a day & got a ride the next morning. You go, girl! Great drone footage & music, too!
Fabulous and fascinating video, Yan, and Gorgeous drone footage!! And I can’t imagine anyone watching this criticizing you for going the distance that you did on the sacred mountain pilgrimage loop. Kudos to you for trying!
Thank you 🙂 Somewhere I have known about many years. To experience through you is wonderful
Awesome video! Mount Kailash is a very holy place, and I dream of seeing it in real life. Your video is a great treat!
I love your channel, when I see those mountains, it made my heart beating so fast. How I wish I could go exploring with you
Har Har Mahadev 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Its not just a Mountain. Its the house of God Shiva. Surprisingly no one has ever reach to the top of Mount Kailash.
Your videos are amazing! You have opened my eyes to the vast variety of cultures and landscape in China. The idea of the pilgrimage is beautiful and this video was fascinating. Good for the older gentleman who took his 8 days to complete the task - but shame on the man who was dragging along his small son and wife -with an even smaller child on her back - on such a rigorous journey. They looked exhausted and unhappy.

Thank you Yan for your friendly approach to the pilgrims, and your respect for the religious and spiritual significance of Mt Kailash Kora!🙏
This is an amazing video. The gold roof temple, with the mountain in the background, seen at the 3:15 min mark is an amazing picturesque shot. I would stay there for an entire day just to shoot still photos of that scene. These pilgrims are very dedicated individuals. Their believes are paramount for their livelihoods. These difficult walks at such high altitude is extremely demanding on one's body yet they can conquer the difficulties. Thank you, Yan, for another amazing video Where else will you take us in the next video that will surpass this one?
