    • @@stillgotyourmom It takes time... they are a new organization, yet light years ahead of where the UFC was at this stage of development. Hopefully they have solid financial backing because Karate Combat could be huge if given the opportunity to show the world what this promotion has to offer.

  • Thank you all Karate Combat people(competitors, commentators) . Please organize the KZhead playlist section. I have watch many videos, very impressive. I have to mention the GREAT HONOR. Glad to see such respect from everyone. Edit: What about chopping? Karate chop, Judo chop. I don't see any chopping. Is it illegal?

  • Pretty one dimensional fighting. When I enjoyed karate, we trained using all of our body. I guess it's all about winning and the easiest way to do that is to throw one hay maker after the next, hoping you connect before your opponent. Guess this is one reason that I now watch mma and Sumo (my fav). Kinda interesting that there isn't the following in karate like that of even the two other sports I mentioned. Just my take. Makes me a little sad though, as I really enjoyed my years in Shotokan. OSS! 🥋

    • Give it a little time the fighters will eventually become more refined within this ruleset. What we mostly see here are point fighters making the transition to full contact. Which is why alot of the more successful participants have a background in kyokushin or muay thai

    • You're thinking what I'm thinking. I can see why karate doesn't have the following that (as I mentioned in my post) mma or Sumo. I wonder if this is one of the reasons? Just so one dimensional. I mentioned Sumo, which I've been an avid fan, never missing a Basho (competition in Japan every other month) in 6 years. It's a lot like chess with big people. It's funny how the casual looks at Sumo ('fat guys I diapers, pushing each other around). But as you begin to understand it, it quickly turns into a must see (especially when you start knowing the wrestlers and who is a rival of who). Sorry to go on and on, but I'm passionate about martial arts and many don't know Sumo (so if they're bored with karate, they'll have a new sport to try out).

    • Yeah the company is actually trying to get point fighters into it instead of going after full contact guys so more fame since you've got Olympic athletes in it bur less skill as they aren't used to a actual fight now they are looking for full contact karatekas and karatekas in kickboxing so more skill on the future I think a former kickboxing champ (also a shotokan karateka) debuts this season 4

    • @@ajmjl9102 So far, the only one I'm interested in watching is Aghayev. He's an actual olympian who won silver in the -75kg division. It's been rumored that the gold medalist, Luigi Busà of Italy, will join the roster. Definitely looking forward to watching his debut in karate combat.
