A six-month-old corgi has become the first of its breed to become a police dog trainee in China. Fuzai made his debut at a public showcase in March and has gained popularity after he put up a steady performance that day.

I love the officer and his little officer dog on the team. so tiny
Not him being carried everywhere 😂
He is small
..... and in a doggie backpack 😊😊❤❤
😂😂😂right 😂😂😂so cute that she/he still gets the regular pet treatment 😂😂😂
I had a corgi for 12 years until she passed away. They tire easily because of the shirt legs.

That trainer is so lucky to be assigned this doggo. And I bet he will adopt him when his service ends, so the public has no chance

China doesn't deserve dogs to serve them
That's not just a police dog, that's a emergency therapy dog.
Wow who knew China stop eating dogs and made them police dogs so amazing they wanna change such idiots
actually especially in airports, the smaller dogs can get right up on the carousel and more easily slip in and around people, when drug/contraband sniffing. During disasters, when trying to find trapped victims a small dog can get into places a larger dog can not. So as crazy as it may seem in some cases a smaller breed can be beneficial as a police dog.
@@MrShadow-qz9xj Corgi have short legs but it doesn't matter. where they walk, a malinois can crawl. If you want a slower actually effective police dog, you have the American shepherd of the Border Collie.
@@tanez778 Never heard of American Shepherds - are they like the German Shepherd who are usually found as police dogs or some totally different breed - while border collies are Welsh just like corgis.
@@ABC1701A Border Collies are completely different from the Corgi physically speaking. American Shepherds are basically miniature Australian Shepherds.
The way he was being carried while the other dogs walked was just too cute!
And he was so proud at the beginning walking with all the homies 😂
I know right? Adorable.! even though the worst part is, he’s a police boy, but he is an adorable dog. Oh my dog prince used to look exactly like that so cute easy to pick up easy to snuggle.
Believe it or not, corgis are a herding breed of dog they’re small. That way they can run in between the sheep and underneath, if need be and nip at the feet I remember ours did that with my sisters and me he would nipper feet and tried to” herd” us. All he ended up doing is snuggling on my bed and. Sleeping😂

This doggo could be used as a spy. An undercover agent could take the corgi with him and no one would notice that the dog is actually a police dog.
Don't give them ideas 😂
Dog’s too popular now for that
He could bark in morse code relaying his findings
How can you tell its Fuzai without the vest? He looks like a lot of corgies. Get him a cute little shirt with a girl, and no one will know theyre police. Just a girl walking her cutie. @pranavr4017

Don't let you height discourage you from applying for the job. As long as you're capable, anything is possible!
Please don't lie and give false hopes to the vertically challenged.
@@bobbymoss6160😂😂😂
yeah and theyre right about shortlegged dogs being fast too - its because their feet are striking the ground twice as often as a larger dog so their producing forward moving momentum twice as often and thats why BIG dogs WILL have to exert some effort to stay ahead of smaller dogs
Not if you are a model, unless you are doing catalog or petite modeling. Catwalk models have very specific height rules. All of the clothing is made in the same size, which is why you have to have certain body measurements. They can always add padding to clothing if needed, but they can't take away from your natural body before a show. There are some short models that have made it big, but that is only because they were the best of the best. They went above and beyond and tried harder than everyone else. If you're short and you work the same as tall models, an agency will probably fire you because it will be harder for them to find jobs for you. If you are better than everyone else and shorter, EVERYONE will want you to work for them. If you want to be successful, go above and beyond. My father just got promoted as a manager and he hasn't even been working there for a year, he was promoted so quickly because he works hard, they can't even give him any more raises until he works there for another year, so they have been giving him bonuses instead.
@@davidkesterson I can assure you that any random Malinois will outrun the fastest Corgi in the world with ease
This cutie maybe not the strongest but he will confuse the criminals with his cuteness until they get arrested..! 😊😂
Right 😂😂
Lol 😂😂
The criminal will take the dog and have a new police dog buddy , but the trick is that the dog is a tracker to catch the criminal later 😂
They'll have to stop to pet! Genius.
Or they'll just pick him up and go.
Fuzai could be useful as a sniffer dog at airports, or in environment where you don't want to make an aggressive appearance.
Those German shepherds really freak me out
He could search and rescue in tight spaces or under objects
@@NyanyiC That's literally part of the point, the mere presence of an intimidating dog deters criminal activity by quite a lot.
Also in situations where children are involved - thinking looking for missing children for example - as he is a lot less threatening to them than a German Shepherd is.
@@ABC1701A He can't cover much ground fast enough though and he had to be carried sometimes.. I saw a police cam of a rescue of a child that had wandered off into the woods.. He huge dog didn't bark or anything aggressive during the rescue
Is it just me or could this be a Pixar hit?
Bolt?
Not only Pixar, but any movie hit 👊🏿
@@ChillHills 🤷♀️ haven’t seen it. Is that Mikey Cyrus as a hamster or something?
@@saraanderson2784 Could be. When I thought of a Pixar movie about a Corgie on the K-9 unit. I thought “How can you make movie about K-9 unit kid friendly?” So I thought of a dog that’s actual an actor that thinks they’re real K-9. So when their costar goes missing they have to become a real detective to rescue them from an obsessed fan. Then I told myself “That’s basically the plot of Bolt.”
The story sounds like a mix of Bolt and Zootopia
While the other dogs have to walk he gets carried around like a king.
Yeah, the big issue is that it's a police dog, not a king dog. Kinda useless.
I own a corgi puppy myself. He is just about a year old. I am training him to be my service dog. He has so much natural talent for the job. He is so smart. My last service dog was a Jack Russell that was with me for fifteen years. I truly didn’t think this corgi would ever live up to the job. However, he surprises me everyday. He is able to sense the smallest of changes in my body, even faster than my last dog. He alerts so well and for multiple things. Letting me know even the slightest change in my body. Then after he makes sure I’m safe, he will actually find my Mother or my caregiver and alert them that I need help. At the end of the day more important than all that, he is so loving and gentle. Having him with me as my service dog; puts me at ease and makes me feel safe. He also is extremely protective, I can see how the breed could be amazing police dogs. They are also very brave. I don’t think he truly knows that he is a small dog. He is my little hero, he already has saved my life multiple times.
Rip jack.
Bless you and your Corgi.protector..❤
They are very intelligent, growing up my neighbour had one.
Given the fact that Corgis were actually bred to herd sheep, this little one will do just fine in the field since it has other capabilities that the other dogs can’t; thus given them an advantage in other areas.
Except it wont because people aren't cattle? They herd by nipping the calves of cattle and can do that because of their agility and speed. Corgi's are agile for their size but they don't have enough speed or the power required to be a police dog. It can be relegated to drug sniffer but there are much better options. This is a publicity stunt.
Betul terutama jika di tempat yang sempit seperti di kolong mobil

german shepherds are also a herding breed

Small but mighty. Fuzia would be an asset as a detection agent as he does not come off aggressive. Australia has some smaller hound breeds working in the customs area.
Corgis are a smart breed, very usefull when you want to be discreet. I can totally see why they would decide to try a smaller breed for some things that the big ones arent the most appropriate... starting with that sweet social media clamour XD.
@@Alacaelum"...very useful if you want to be discreet." Hmm, is that why the late Queen Elizabeth II had so many of them? I can imagine the corgis snooping around in the palace and come back to her with the latest gossip😂
People use to say women shouldn’t be on the police force because they aren’t as strong as men but here we are today.
and yet they aren't as effective
@@capybarafilmstudios1620 policing isn’t always about strength. There are situations where women are better than men.
@@jonh537 maybe when they aren't trying to.. stop criminals.
But that corgi dog might be a male
@@capybarafilmstudios1620 Not really. Generally speaking women are alot better at diffusing situations than men, so that alone can be a massive plus when dealing with dangerous people. According to some studies, women process information up to 5 times faster than men, which is obviously useful in police work where quick decisions often have to be made. Not to mention women are also just generally alot more intuitive so might pick up on things men would miss. Also, even in regards to physical alterations, most police are well trained and armed. Strength doesn't matter a whole lot when technique and weapons are in the equation.
No minimum height requirement for police dog recruitment 👍
They should now remove the height restrictions for humans as well

I once had a retired police Alsatian 🐕, Zeus. He was best ever, had to learn instructional French words as he was trained in France. Once at a cafetería in Spain, Zeus wouldnt leave this guy alone. I looked and said: Sorry sir, but may i ask, you don't happen to smoke anything green do you? He responded: Are you under-cover police? I said: No. He said: Well I'm only carrying 1 🚬 which is legal anyway. I responded: No, thats the reason Zeus won't leave you alone that's all, he's ex po po. 😂
cute!
Did he share it with you?
Go, Fuzai! He may not be a “full-sized” officer, but _he_ doesn’t know that. 14/10. (And watching his partner carry him papoose-style was not only highly practical, but stinkin’ adorable.)
I wouldn't be so intimidated when he sniffs my luggage 😅
I also had doubts at the start of the video. With a dog his size, what will he be able to do? He can indeed sniff out things that would be in smaller spaces. He's 6 months old, but he won't grow much. AMAZING, PROFESSIONAL, CUTE, AND BADASS.

Some people forget that corgi's are sheep herding dogs. They are extremely brave and not scared to wrestle with a dog 3 times their weight. Their body shape makes it easy for them to roll safely from a tussel as well. One of the reasons they were breed is because they can get into small openings. So yeah, using them for small entries and under cars is a great idea. The corgi could even lead the bad target into the German Shepherd dogs. They may be small, but their muzzle is no joke. They will tare up your ankles.
Thank you! Great work guys 🇦🇺

Happiest boy
i love the fact that he actually have a tail, since most corgi's tail get cut off from birth
cardigan corgis have tails.
there are two breeds of Corgi, the Pembroke and the Cardigan. The Cardigans by birth always have long foxlike tails and traditionally are left undocked. however they usually have different colorations then the Pembroke but sometimes they do have that coloration. tail wise this could be a Cardigan but the coloring also means it could be a Pembroke born longtailed. The Pembroke is the one that is traditionally seen with a short stumpy tail. but here is the thing, do NOT assume the tail was docked automatically upon seeing one with a stumpy tail. Pembrokes were actually bred to have a natural bob tail, but its not guaranteed. I want to say its a chance as high as 50% chance to be born bob tailed depending on parentage? And yes, more often then not the long tails tend to be docked since there was for a time a luxury tax on non working dog breeds, so to avoid the tax docking the tail 'showed' the dog was meant for herding.
@@davidfitzsimmons2451 even possible it's a cross of the two breeds. Who knows. Cute fellow though.
