    • Rather curious time management though (by both players) - with time running out it's often best to play a "good enough" move quickly and save a few seconds for a point when you really need to think and spot some tactics for or against you. A pity after some fine tactics earlier.

    • There are a thousand stories in the naked city. None of those stories was relevant as I stared at the 8 by 8 grid and the pieces in front of me. My opponent could have been nameless and faceless for all the good those tidbits helped me. Somewhere, somehow I had to come up with a new plan to thwart his attack. Both clocks silently conspired against me. Skill or time will tell.

  • The way you manage to explain what you're thinking about and then the resolve the thought at the move, plus the mentality commentary is really good. Even someone like me that doesn't actively play chess can follow it.

  • The most INSTRUCTIONAL chess video ever. It's great when you can hear the thoughts of a top player as they are playing. Then you can compare what you would do and why they did the move differently. Love this video. Wish there were a hundred more just like it.

  • As a Non-Chess Player, I appreciate the Commentary as I find myself learning some of the strategies and can sometimes predict some of your/your opponents movements along the way. Breaking down everything as you go is really helpful, and throwing in little stories along the way (like accidentally spilling your beer at the Londen Chess club) is entertaining. Thank you!

The back ground music you chose added to the tension so well. Great video. The only downside was that you didn't win, that was a pity. I like this format, so please do more like this.

  • Anna look up the meaning of "choke"...it is during a critical play when a person kind of freezes up with anxiety and plays poorly or just misses things. It's one of the reasons you have time issues. Just info, not criticism. I think you're a great chess player who is learning and getting better all the time.
