+Frame 313 youre right about Beatles they have tried variety of genres and they were succesfull in all of them and yes Beatles might be the most productive amongst all but in my opinion Green Day comes really near to them and i dont agree with The Who and Led Zeppelin, but i have respect for your opinion. Im telling Green Day is the most productive if we dont count Beatles, Green Day has examples in many genres like Beatles, they started with punk rock, they made pop punk, pop rock, then alternative rock, opera rock, garage rock etc.Maybe you know that they have a musical playing on Broadway and across the world. Billie Joe Armstrong also made a cover album with Norah Jones in tribute to Everly Brothers and it had a way different sound then Green Days sound obviously and he showed everyone that he can be succesfull in genres like folk and country also. they have 13 brilliant studio albums and also concert cds, they have more than 200 songs and honestly their all masterpieces for me

+Frame 313 oh and also they had side projects like Foxboro Hot Tubs, Pinhead Gunpowder and The Network. They have such amazing cover songs, for an example Working Class Hero of John Lennon, I Fought the Law of The Clash and A Quick One While Hes Away and My Generation by the Who and those are amazing covers by them. Im sure that i forgot something because there are so much things they have done in their 28 year career and they still do such. I think i convinced you about how productive and creative and perfect they are :)

+Frame 313 forgot to mention that Green Day itself composed and wrote all of their songs, %95 Billie Joe %5 Mike and Tre (bassist and drummer) look to those meaningful lyrics that actually tells a story, lyrically perfect

Warning is great. it's different yes. But unique and mature. For example, Warning itself is just a fun acoustic punk song about authority. blood, sex and Booze is... can't explain it. it's my favorite off the record. along with Misery, Church on Sunday, Castaway, Waiting, Minority, and I actually really like Macy's Day Parade

in all honesty, if i were part of green day, i would've probably done the same as they did. i couldn't imagine myself publishing albums with that same punk rock/pop punk vibe year after year, it would get really boring. Bottom line, its nice to be open to other music styles and experiment
