The *suluxs* are really good these days. Especially LV. To be honest, a birkin or a Kelly at the end of the day, is really just a simple bag to make.. so it’s not that hard to make it perfectly like the authentic. I say it’s a win. I own a couple and I’m not ashamed. I’ll save the 20,000 plus per bag and use it for my children and trips instead.
I bought a replica YSL in *suluxs* and the quality is superior, have no issues with bag after 1,5 years. My friend bought YSL bag in YSl store, after 9 month she went back to report that handle is broken. Other friend has issues with LV backpack, bracelet and belt. months of waiting for repair and listening complains that she wore it wrong. I made my decision about high brands. Not worth it

It doesn't bother me until I see a replica that looks as good as my authentic, lol. People have been buying fakes for decades. It's a fake food industry, fake medicine, fake perfume. If you want to buy authentic, then do so. If not, then don't. Some people have a mixed collection of authentic, replicas, and dupes. 10,000 plus for any bag is ridiculous. There is no leather that is that premium or that precious. I watch a guy tear apart handbags, belts, and slg. He compliments the design, yet ultimately determines that people are paying thousands of dollars for the brand. The leather and craftsmanship is usually a fair price.

I agree with what you're saying, but those ARE leather bags, and are even overpriced. A good leather bag can be bought @ 100$, and it costs about 1/4 of this to make. A semi-luxury brand makes half of their production in my country and I know what the prices are if you manage to snag one out of the factory

I hear LV doesn’t even do authentication anymore because the quality of fakes are just that good. I actually don’t mind if someone buys fakes, I t’s their money, and to be honest it’s probably financially smarter. One thing I always laugh at is when people say by buying fake’s you are founding illegal activities, have you not been keeping up with some of these big brands and what they’ve been involved in? lol the selective morality is hilarious 😂. Most luxury brands won’t authenticate a bag you bought resale anymore. I think all the superfakes will become a problem in 10+ years when they hit the resale market because someone doesn’t know it’s fake.

I bought a Loewe Flamenco super fake as I was on the fence about whether I loved it enough to pull the trigger on the real thing. It arrived and it is SO friggin' amazing I have no need to buy the real thing. The attention to detail is spectacular and it even came in all of the Loewe packaging and tags. I'm not down with that as it does encourage people to sell them on pre-loved sites. It does make me a feel a certain way about the Designers selling these bags. They are selling them at about 10 times the price I paid. They are fleecing people. Hermes are the worst for this - I imagine them in the board rooms laughing about how much people are prepared to pay.

Perception is everything, I remember saving up for my first LV and some coworkers automatically thought it was fake because I was a young black girl. At that point I really stopped caring what people's opinions were, people will always have their opinions based on how you look. After this I shopped in *esluxscom* . If you drive a Bentley and get out of the car with a fake Hermès, no one will question you.
I feel the same way Cathy, you covered this really well. I agree, for massive investments getting a sense of whether the style will work for you buying a dupe (I’d really struggle with a fake) is a good way to test it. But the burner bag is a good idea - selling a fake you no longer want could lend someone down the line to buy something they thought was real and I wouldn’t want that on my conscience.
I agree that I’d struggle buying a fake Birkin especially if it was real leather. Who knows what would happen to it down the line. My Bottega pouch dupe I sold on Poshmark for $20 and no one would ever mistake it for the real thing. My niece will probably inherit all my bags. I don’t want her to have to deal with that. This whole Cut article confused me. These women are spending time sourcing fake bags when they could get a unique bag created for the same amount of money. Hi Thanks for sharing. I just bought the *esluxscom* 2 days ago which was on my wish list for my occasion bag, is it worth buying this? The félicie pochette is really nice and classy and you can use it in 4 different ways, so the CA showed me the félicie from the drawer and I checked on it then I asked the CA if he can get another stock so I can compare the one he pulled from the drawer so he did. I noticed that the félicie from the drawer the leather was a bit shiny or glossy while the stock he got the leather was matt so I choose the shiny one that attracted me but I just wondered why they are different and you might have any idea. When I got home I just noticed that when you opened the envelop the back mid fold leather was a little loose is it normal when openning but when its closed its ok no problem (I didn’t noticed in the store and compare to the other one). Any advise will appreciate, I do always love watching your videos.

So you dont believe in buying a fake bag because you're contributing to the child labor sweat shop in China, but its ok to buy one as long as you're just wearing around the house??? I saw the thumbnail and I had to tune in to see this beauty. I'm planning for my next *esluxscom* . I can't decide if I want the Pochette Metis or some other type of LV with a strap. I own the Speedy 30 and would love a crossbody on the lighter days. For now I carry my LV Zippy wallet as a clutch when I don't want to carry my Speedy. But the fact that you are *esluxscom* buying an image and showing off your taste to make them think you are richer than you are is a very good thing to do

I use a jeweler to make things that I want for fraction of the cost - I also don't ask for them to engrave anything on it - I like the look of say a VCA alhambra necklace but I am not wanting to pay the cost when I can have it made for a few hundred dollars.

If a duplicate is just as good as an authentic to pass an authentication test, at a tenth of the value......thats the problem. Thats why the market exists. 1-1 replicas are the real investment bags, you get the quality and same materials, for a 10th of the price, but it passes the tests

Are these issues happening if these bags are used daily? I just got the pochette metis in monogram canvas from the Kusama collection. I love the multicolored polka dots and hope they don’t melt on me, lol. But I don’t think it’ll be in my regular rotation. I also have a NoeNoe in DA but only use that a few times a year in the spring and summer so I haven’t put that much wear and tear into it. I hope I don’t see the fraying for a while. I also agree that the black one looks better, and you really need to get there with a magnifying glass to compare it next to an authentic. We all Know we do not pay for the craftmanship, and materials. it is branding, and copyrights of their design. Not cool that they sold it to you at such a steep price. I feel like the more affordable option is just to approach a leather artisan and have them make the same thing bespoke. I don't do fakes. I don't do (handbag) dupes (these days the trickle-down is inevitable, and when you couple that with these fashion conglomerates you're bound to see shared designs). Sometimes the high-end designer IS the dupe though. People are becoming increasingly more aware that the fashion industry steals from small brands.

Wow…just wow! I am blown away about the wealthy buying fake bags but it makes perfect sense and that’s why their wealthy. But buying fake for thousands, in my opinion, is a horrible use of their money as well. 😂 I’d rather save for the authentic bag and buy from the boutique and have peace of mind. I’ve searched on the resell market but never purchased for the fear of all the reasons you mentioned in this video. Sis, your just as funny on here than TikTok...lol! I purchased a *esluxscom* from Rainbow... and I get so many compliments on that bag and the chain is heavy. Then I came across a Chanel tote bag. (I only use it to travel) every time I'm in the airport, women stop me about that tote. Side note: Chanel uses gold plated now for the logo.
I got a fake Chanel mini square mirror quality to see if I would even use it or what I could fit etc so I could justify spending the money for the real one and ended up buying vintage Chanel instead since those squares were a little bigger

The fact these bags can be faked and sold at a fraction of the price just shows how much the luxury brands are ripping people off. Yes quality and materials might not be the same but some dupes are pretty good. I’ve wasted so much money on designer bags and, as a 50 year old, could have bought another house or many *esluxs* with what I’ve spent. My advice is to only buy if you can afford it plus other important things and don’t necessarily turn your nose up at a dupe!

Hi Cathy, first let me say that I have never owned either a real or fake designer bag and don't really care much about them. However, I was interested in hearing your thoughts and agree with most of what you said in terms of reasons not to own fakes. On the other hand, I do resent the extortionate prices a lot of these design houses are charging and see no reason to pay them. From that viewpoint, if someone wants to own a designer bag, I see nothing wrong with a fake and feel it beats Hermes and Chanel at their own game. Let's face it, designer bags exist to impress other people with your wealth and status, so if that is important to you why pay $30,000 for a bag if you don't have to?
I buy luxury for how it makes me feel, so buying fake bags feels ingenuous. But if you want to impress others, definitely buy a fake if that makes you happy.

You are lucky that your thrift store has such great prices. Be all of my local thrift stores price everything as if you are shopping at Neiman Marcus. Even if the *esluxs* are not real name brand. They are all very affluent (doctors, executives, business owners, etc). I am probably the "poorest" of the circle I know. There are a few other races (black and latina) but the bulk in my circle are asian. In art there is something called a Giclee which is essentially a very high quality print of a real artwork. It retains value as an artwork. With these leather bags I bet many years later they can resell, even unbranded, coz they're made like the real thing with all the utility, precious metal plated hardware, leather (even crocodile leather options)

Their are malls & businesses, including a manufacturer in China that do nothing but replicate fakes of what’s popular. I have one *suluxs* bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...
I love the mini Kelly and would love to have one or three but I refuse to pay the price or the Hermes game. I have another idea: you don't even have to buy a fake tester bag, IF you're undecided about size. Cardboard and scissors! Cut the cardboard to match the specs. on the two Birkins. You can at least get an idea of how they fit you're body - get black cardboard if you want a black bag! Still undecided? Then buy a fake bag or two.

@@CathyMekondo the only folks that have truly gotten in trouble is those selling fakes, those also committing fraud aka trying to go back to the store and return it and keep the auth product. What customs says and what the DOJ has done that it is not illegal to buy a counterfeit item you get into issues when you sell it or try to sell it. The case law is quite conflicted but folks buying from DHGate or a superfake are not going to get in trouble - they may have the item seized but most likely not.

When I’m unsure about a bag, I rent. After about 30 days you’ll know if you like it or not. I bought a fake one time and I still don’t feel I have a sense of the bag so that’s why I just rent. I’ll be running around town for 30 days with my new friend.

The retail price for a Birkin 30 in a Hermes boutique is under $12,000 USD. Definitely Google though because there are price increases. You will sometimes see exotic skin Birkins retail for that much. I have heard of celebrities buying $40,000 Birkins on the resale market because they want a particular color.

I don’t judge how people spend their own money. I’m not planning to buy a Birkin anytime soon but I understand why influencers buy them and make a video about it. It’s an instant write off of $10K+.

I mean I can always tell LV fakes even when they’re great but I have to see it up close and the differences are subtle and hard to just explain . I had to report one to a well known reseller ( they didn’t know even after looking into it they were like omg it’s so good 😂) . I feel like they buy them ( even if they can afford them ) because No one ever got rich throwing all of their $ away … I have a pretty large authentic collection but no birkin and I don’t desire one , but if I did … hmm😂 I might try the easy way , Hermes is a pain in the azzz to deal with and I would never pay the resell for a Hermes bag , knowing it may not be authentic and paying 10 x what they are sold for … no ma’am. Also I’ve heard that that whole sweat shop stuff is BS .. she ( someone I met that is down that rabbit hole deep ) said some ppl that worked for Hermes , Chanel have gone into the to biz .. so they know how to source the leathers etc ..
I have a LV Monogram Speedy and Agenda from 2006 and that has helped me to able to spot fakes easier. I want a Birkin but only if it’s from the boutique. I may start making leather appointments at Hermes boutiques once I’ve saved up the money and try to get lucky. If not, it wasn’t meant to be. Thanks for watching.

Most people are spending thousands on a bag. They think it’s worth it and choose to spend their money that way. I’m sure you splurge on things that a luxury bag buyer wouldn’t understand.
Rich people are usually cheap AF. I know a few millionaires and they usually spend their money on good food / eating out etc and drive cheaper cars. If I was rich I would probably splurge and get what I wanted TBH. You only live once, that money is getting spent before I kick the bucket.

Honey, worry about your own collection. If you are fortunate enough to have so many beautiful bags, spend your time enjoying them. There are always going to be women who show up with fakes looking as good as yours and getting the same compliments, and sometimes more depending on the women. Mind ya bidness.

At first, your tone was even, and your views would surely persuade some people to think twice about buying a high-end designer bag from anywhere other than a Chanel, LV, or whatever boutique. Great!
