It's frustrating here in the US too my friend. Everything we (US) have sent should have been sent years ago plus more. Like planes and tanks. We should have armed Ukraine with advanced weapons long before this Russian invasion. We should have let Pooty know that any invasion of Ukraine would be more costly than any benefit. The EU should have started weaning itself off Russian energy years ago. The EU energy market is almost half of Russia's economy. There is alot we could have done to prevent this war from ever happening. Thankfully, we have ramped up natural gas production and we can send LNG to Europe to replace Russian gas. But, there is still lots of work to be done and instead of dithering around we need to be acting.

When the first mobilization was announced by Putin I found it interesting how many Russian military age men decided to leave the country to avoid conscription. I believe the number was around 250,000 individuals. Now after a year of watching this war, I am still gobsmacked at how casually Russia sends its youth off to die with so little support or training. Much like being ordered to go "over the top" during WW1's trench warfare where not only did the young men know they were going to die but knowing it would be a horrible death at the same time.

Not really. The west thought Ukraine would roll over in a matter of days after being invaded. Washington and London were ready to evacuate Zelinsky to set up a government in exile in London. The west didn’t supply advanced weapons to Ukraine from the start because they were seen as a bad risk and nobody wanted another Afghanistan where billions of dollars worth of western military supplies were lavished on a country that would implode. Ukraine has had to prove it can fight effectively without advanced weapons before being trusted with them.

Not so sure about that. They havent deployed any of their T14 armatas, Satan II missiles, or the 6,500 nuclear weapons they have. The only reason Ukraine still stands is because the EU and US are spending more money on this war then Russia is. Ukraine will run out of soldiers, they are suffering casualties at the exact same rate as the Russians (they leave that part out of the news). Russia can field millions more soldiers than Ukraine. The only way Ukraine wins is if NATO decalres war on Russia.
