When you have a President who can fight battles with his words rather than with a soldier and his or her rifle, I'll take that any day over a President who's first reaction to a disagreement is to launch missiles and drop bombs. He is all for defending our allies, (who even knows who they are these days?) but he's not willing to sacrifice the lives of our citizens for a land 5000 miles away. Especially countries that hate us anyway. You may believe that President Trump has an ego, and maybe he does to an extent, but he always put the United States and it's legal citizens first.

I personally don't believe that the current U.S. president is any different from Papa Bush or Clinton. They've all been like them in my opinion since JFK's assassination, except Carter and Johnson. I suspect that Johnson was forced into doing things like going to war in Vietnam in exchange for getting the needed votes in Congress for social progress programs that the Congress wouldn't give Kennedy, because Kennedy was trying to stop that war and also the Cold War, and that would probably have stopped all of the wars after Vietnam (regarding this, Lee Harvey Oswald was portrayed as being a Communist and Kennedy was portrayed as an anti-Communist after Kennedy's murder).

Before the first gulf war, one of the "reasons" given for the American troop buildup at the southern border of Kuwait, was that 200,000 Iraqui troops were deployed at that border ready to invade Saudi Arabia. When a commercial satellite made a pass over the border, there were no Iraqui troops there.
Iraq was going to use Kuwait as a staging point for invasion into Saudi Arabia. Iraqs border with Saudi Arabia mostly desert and would have made their efforts more difficult. Saddam wanted to control the oilfields in both Saudi and Kuwait along with his own countries.

It's so crazy because under the pact of Reagan and Tatcher, the power of politics was mostly downsized to market projections (as in neo-liberalism) to be the standard of government spending (most optimal: privatisation). A short story. A while back a man told a story about when he was turning eight years old in November 1963. Because he was fascinated with trains his grandfather decided to take him to the train tracks behind Dealy Plaza to look at the trains. This would have been a few days before President Kennedy was going to ride in the motorcade. While him and his grandfather were looking at the trains that day they noticed a small group of men engaged in a serious conversation. In the center of the them there was a man who seemed to be given instructions about something they were going to do. As the boy approached out of curiosity one of the told him in gruff voice to stsy back. Later on thas the boy grew he bacame confident the man given the orders that day was absolutely GEORGE BUSH SR.. Of course George Bush Sr claimed for years he didn't know where he was when John F.
