Taking everything we learned for our last few theories, a teaser image released from the developers about Floor 2, and the new Backdoor update, I think I have enough information to piece together where the story of this game is going! Once it comes out, "Pressure" is a phenomenal doors like game you should 100% cover. It even has files with redacted messages that open up as you die!

two minor corrections: guiding light's sparkles and sound are only disabled by specific modifiers, you can optionally have modifiers and guiding light together, but not fully as death messages are always removed. Also, to access the backdoors, you don't need the beating rooms badge, you only need the badge for entering rooms.

one interesting thing to mention, when a crucifix fails, like when you use it on seek or the figure, it starts blue and then turns red, the colors that are associated with both these entities as if they're battling for control.

Hey Tom, so if your doing theorys on Roblox games now I would like to suggest doing a theory on Regretevator, it's a really fun and it's lore goes DEEP, I have been wanting a game theory on it ever since 2020 and it would make me really happy, thank you!!
Even though I'm not fully sure if the collaborations are part of the lore, in the Tower Heroes X Doors event, there was a weekly challenge that replaced the narrator (guiding light) with a red version. This could hint towards the 3rd architect being the red one.
It is El globino mentions it but acording to him It was just a dream

I think the reason it doesn’t work on the figure is because he isn’t actually a demon (said in another video about doors) but your theory could work for seek

if the crucifix fails (by trying to crucifix figure or seek) the ring turns red, probably standing for the third architect, this probably is because seek and figure were made from un-naturally and were made using science. Meaning that the third architect could be trying its best to protect it’s “entities”
Tom I have a new Theory for you If 2 players in Minecraft ride on 2 pigs on a boat and someone uses a fishing rod from 20 blocks high it can launch the boat 900 blocks high and 20 blocks forward. With that, if everyone had their inventory full of stacks of blocks of gold, that makes all three of the players have 810 tons of stuff in their inventories. Then, we have to factor in the weight of the pigs and the boat. If we do that, we get 1000 pounds. That means 810.5 tons. Then, we have to factor in the weight of 900 blocks. If 1 block is around 50 pounds, that means that 900 × 50 is 4,500. That means that 810.5 tons + 4,500 pounds 812.55 So roughly 800 tons carried like it's nothing. There's a theory right there

something cool i also realized before the third architect was revealed later in the video whenever you crucify seek or the figure, the cross isnt able to completely get rid of the entities, and the blue light suddenly turns into the red light resembling the 3rd architect

Let me try to add some theory myself: When you try to crucify Seek/Figure, at first it glows blue but then it turns red. Is the red architect (aka the modifier architect) stopping guiding light from crucifying these entities?
One thing you failed to notice is that we’ve interacted with the red architect before. In an official DOORS crossover with a tower defence game called Tower Heroes, several weekly challenges were added to the game. One of which had you playing as Figure using the monsters to fend off humans, and in that challenge unlike every other doors related thing instead of Guiding and Curious guiding you throughout the waves, the red one was.

Now i just realized something odd, when you're in HALT's area, the candle doesn't go out at all.
HALT may be the"physical" form of guiding light. The colors the eyes they just fit together. Though I don't get why it wants do hurt us.
But that won't make sense because crucifix works on halt

Halt could probably be an entity using the guiding light as a sort of camouflage so that they don't immediately get detected, which would explain why the crucifix would still work, but not the candle Or its just a bug

"The Rooms" area in Doors is actually a tribute to a Roblox game called "Rooms." This game was Doors' main inspiration. "The Rooms" area in Doors is almost identical to the Rooms game. Also, you don't need A-1000 to get into the Backdoor. You only need to enter the rooms and get the "Detour" badge. This entire theory crumbles when you think about that.

15:41 the owners of doors have given us screenshots of guiding light saying not to be near tracks when mine carts are near since in the trailer we can see redibles dying from the mien cart and in the trailer we can also see guiding light spawning in another mine cart for us so guiding light will still be in floor 2.
I noticed in the floor 2 leak there is a yellow liquid in a bottle on the ground which means curious light in gonna be down there with us

When you die from any entity, you would see a static red light around you for a second and then it fades into blue which makes me curious if that was guiding light stopping the red light from coming through to us how weird. A second thing is El Teo really sounds exactly the same as Elgoblino, something tells me that both could possibly be the same mix together. Just thought of this lol.

ultrakill theory would be sick tbh, but i guess it's not out yet, ultrakill has some deep lore which would be cool to see game theory try to theorize about it
You don't need the 'A-1000' badge to access The Backdoor, thereby allowing Curious Light to escape. You need to just meet it, hence it requires 'Detour', the badge earned when first entering The Rooms.
Ok so like one problem. The theory completely relies on the player needing to beat the entirety of the rooms in order to access the back door but all you actually need to do is enter the rooms at least once.

The third architect has already been seen actually, in the "Tower Heroes Event" for doors. The fandom named it the "mischievous light" but is pretty much exactly how you described it.

It is also helpful to note that some of the modifiers either reduce the frequency of the enemies or cancel them altogether, but in return for less gold. If the third architect were to be helping you in this way when playing, you would get less gold, which is also similar to the offerings of El Tio and how offering more keeps you safer.
for the back doors, you don’t get it by completing the rooms only, you also get it by back on track. The point of needing to go to the rooms and escape through any means is to meet Curious light. But in lore means, you could say curious light escaped with you

So essentially Curious Light effects the player with viles, Guiding Light effects the hotel and the red one effects the monsters and everything the other two do, or am I mistaken. This would mean the red one is basically their manager and the celestials are their ceo.

I kinda get Vibe from Minecraft story mode season 2.Just look in minecraft story mode season 2 there where 3 admins: Romeo(Red),Fred(blue),Xsara(yellow) and in Doors we have 3 architects modifiers(Red),guiding light(blue),curious light(yellow). Romeo was the most powerfull and could overpower his friends just like modifiers (Romeo killed his friends in the game). So if this is connected in some way we can predict what modifiers will do to the other architects.

I've got a theory In ' A Christmas Carol ', Ebenezer's partner, Jacob Marley, is dead, and how the writer describes him being dead is that he is, and I quote: As dead as a doorknob. In Doors, you can find that you have doorknobs as a currency, and the red, higher being promotes doorknobs as a currency instead of normal gold coins. Christmas is a religious event because it is the birth of Jesus Christ and Doors ties in with religious stuff and ' A Christmas Carol ' is no different from being a Christmas story. We know that coins are a currency in Doors since you can use them in Jeff's Shop and the big Starlight jug at the end of the Backdoor, so, why wouldn't this higher being want to promote normal coins? It's because the creators of Doors want this higher being to tie in with the story of ' A Christmas Carol '. In summary, I think that ' A Christmas Carol ' may have a few ties within the lore of Doors. But hey, that's just a theory... A GAME THEORY! holy shoot, i had this exact same theory about a 3rd light that controlled hotel and had more power, i came up with this theory a week ago and named this 3rd light "controlling light".
The only thing i got from this is.. Well this. You dont have to beat the rooms to unlock the backdoor, so if you're confused on that as to "How did it escape then?" Its simple! Think to how you get into the rooms in the first place. You have to open a door that is hidden and is TRIPLE locked. Opening that door would be enough to let curious light out.

I think the modification of not guiding light is the celestials saying, "No,you are not allowed to help the person,"and the lights can't say no.
in the painting there is 3 moon looking things, so maybe the curious light isn't the big star in the middle, but the yelllowish white think at the bottom, and el tio kinda sounds like el goblino and has a similar appearance, off topic from what i said but could be intresting

I do love me gameplay updates that directly _advance_ the story and its characters' development instead of just expanding the game's world. And yeah, a lot of gaming updates do provide lore that sometimes give more depth to pre-existing characters, but it seems that Doors is going out of its way to tell a more ongoing story with crucial changes. Which I _LOVE_
Maybe this Roblox dev will pull a Zeekers and make their own game outside of Roblox? Maybe they will do what The Forgotten City did, turn Doors into its own standalone game. The Forgotten City started out as a mod for Skyrim, and then the modders made The Forgotten City its own game outside of Skyrim and the creation engine. Pretty sure it is on Game Pass, as of this comment.
as a doors veteran i can say you unlock the backdoor once GETTING to the rooms NOT COMPLETING EDIT: theory the reason why the crucifix vfx turn red while tring to use it against seek or figure is modifier light (idk how to call it) silencing guiding light partially
I don't think curious light means the light is curious, more it is a light that, by its nature, provokes curiosity in those who see it

I love this video because I was following the same train of thought regarding the three lights (though I considered the currently unnamed Red Light to be a malevolent entity). Some interesting things to note: -Outside of the lobby if you look up at the sky you’ll notice what appear to be stars in the shape of a crucifix, but they aren’t blue, indicating that the crucifix is not a tool exclusive to Guiding Light -Snare, the spikey plant entity in the greenhouse, apparently is a large series of interconnected vines underground meaning it may make an appearance in The Mines. Like Figure, it isn’t some spirit entity like the others. -Using the large starlight potion on the blue rift that stores items creates a one-use yellow rift. If the blue rift is believed to be connected to Guiding Light then this suggests the Lights can combine their abilities somehow.

You only need the badge ‘Detour’ (gotten by entering the rooms) to get to the backdoors, not ‘Back On Track’ or ‘A-1000.’
thats because beating a1000 is EXTREMELY rare but its intended for you to complete it so have access.

I could see el goblino having some sort of connection to el tio, and maybe working with the modifier architect and being some sort of twist villain idk, but I believe in the sneak peek image of the mines, there is a vial of starlight, further solidifying that curious light could be in the mines, but then where would guiding light be? I believe this floor (the mines) could be some sort of chaotic place where they all try to coexist, in which we would just watch as we try to get out of the mines.(just speculation)

i saw smth in the painting. there was a 4th symbol down the curious light. a grayish light surrounded by a circle.
Apparently the red modifiers light made an actual appearance during a collaboration with another Roblox game called "Tower heroes" a tower defense game where it told the figure when "intruders" (the player) entered the library. The community gave it the name "Mischievous light" and it is definitely the same entity which controls the modifiers and entities marking it the 3rd "Architect".
