Cristiano Ronaldo says it is not acceptable for Manchester United to be aiming for anything less than a top-three Premier League finish, and warned he is not at the club to compete for seventh place. However, CR7 believes interim boss Ralf Rangnick needs time to impart his philosophy on the Man Utd squad.

    • @Billy Billson And you'd know what a real leader is because ...? A good leader isn't a set formula, and ultimately if your going to judge his leadership based on results then just take a look at his career and achievements. Not all of them were attained when he was the captain but he's always shown time and time again that he has leadership qualities. He may be overanimated at times but frustration is a completely natural human feeling.

  • Honestly, I can't understand anyone whom find CR7 a problem at Man Utd. This man is doing absolutely everything he can to help his team. When critics say CR7 cannot play a pressing game, you see immediately he step up in his chasing of every ball in his next few games, even though he should be conserving his energy as a striker to make darting runs past defences. And the fact that he is willing to do that despite his status and age is admirable. His Man Utd team mates find CR7 mentality a problem because they are all very happy just playing mediocre football every week while drawing their sky-high salaries.😂 - From a Liverpool fan.

It's just rumours that other players don't like him. The issue is some of the other players not showing up and playing at the level they should be playing. The other issue is the need to sign more committed and quality players to the team, instead of just big names for the sake of marketing promotion.

My favourite was, “unless it doesn’t come from heart it doesn’t make any difference and younger people have to have the will to ask and listen from experienced players like him and Cavani” Not a single person could find a single word out of the context with this interview because he spoke from heart. Let’s be honest he could have easily gone to City and would have 30 goals in a season, already, top of the league, serious contender for UCL and many more things. Instead, he chose United because of his through and through love for the club.

  • Every word from this man is calculated. He wants to be a leader, and he deserves the position. And with that, comes speaking like a leader - everything he says influences those that are below him. He needs to commit and believe before the people that look up to him can commit and believe. He inspires the direction of the club, and I admire him for staying true to that and speaking with a level of responsibility. It’s what the boys need right now.

  • I dont care what anyone says I respect Lionel Messi as a player and as one of the greatest of all time but Messi was/is God's gift to Football. He still plays the same way he played when he was 19 years old dribbling past players, scoring freekicks, playmaking. But Cristiano Ronaldo never had it easy since the start coming to the best league in football as a teenager improving his game every time he step a foot on the pitch being on a whole new different level mentally and changing and improving his game throughout his career and still go toe to toe with almost the God of Football. Messi didnt feel the need nor had to change his game he was born to play football. But what Ronaldo has done over the years with sheer dedication, Hardwork and his elite mentality cant ever be repeated in the future in any sport of the world. He is indifferent to all the hate he gets from the world still performing at the same level even when he's turning 37 next month and still proving people wrong week in week out, there is no way in hell messi does this interview, messi has this mentality in the next 100 lives. Huge respect to both the Players but the moment people realize that what Cristiano Ronaldo has done for Football just through his mentality and professionalism they'll end up giving him the GOAT title even if messi has 15 balon dors. • People like to trash Ronaldo by saying he isn’t a team player.. but never in my life have I seen an athlete so professional and who fights for his team and his coaches. He’s never once threw a coach under the bus even if they deserved it and he constantly talks about the players in his team with the highest regard. Even in this interview he refused to say how they should be playing even though he’s one of the best players in human history and would have ever right to do so. Just because his body language at times isn’t friendly doesn’t mean he isn’t trying his best for the team. I have so much respect for him.
