In this video I am making a dresser for my not-yet-born son’s room. And it only made sense to name it after him, so this one is called Benjiro’s Dresser. We also made a full set of build plans for this piece if you want to make one of your own! I hope you dig it, as much as I hope Benjiro digs it when he is old enough to dig things. So come along as we build this and explore all sorts of amazing woodworking techniques like panel making, cabinet building, miter joint making, transition sanding, bevel cutting, domino connecting, and a lot of rocking good times.

Love the box in a box feel to this. Gives the piece a robust feel but lets you still make a relatively simple plywood dresser which I am always 100% game for :) The dark/light contrast is also awesome!

@@FyrFytr998 my now mid 30's daughter took a eyebrow puncture that required 6 stitches from the armrest of a chair in the lobby at church... she was the perfect height to run into it blind at not quite 2...
You're a brave soldier cutting those mortises with the router braced on only one side. I will never forget all the prep then pushing the router in the wrong direction sending it chewing off in the open direction. I built an adjustable jig that gauges the mortice width using the vertical piece. With fa lush bearing bit and braced on each side its hard to mess up. I like the tenon idea; I'll give it a try...and teach an old dog a new trick. Congrats on the new family member!!!!

Beautiful piece, Shaun~! I was wondering if the pulls were going to extend to the end of the grooves you cut in the drawer fronts or if you were going to put some Beech pieces in (flush) to fill the gaps, but it turned out looking really great~!
