Where is the intro from ? The one before the 1st track?

Back in the oughts and early 10's, I obsessively collected 90's hip hop, mostly new york and east coast stuff. I wound up losing access to the computer when I went off to college and haven't seen it since. I mourned that music collection and could never scratch that itch again. Seemed like I either romanticized the collection or had a real treasure trove on my hands. This playlist is a somber confirmation that I probably did have a killer collection because these tracks give me that feeling I've been missing. Thank you so much for the work you put in gathering these tracks.
Soo much lyrical shit outta that period man its never been matched. Never.
Closest was like Mac Miller and Joey Badass which some old heads wont get, and they were young but man they captured that spirit
DoWop Bounce Squad, Clue. Early 90’s NYC all about the mixtapes.

This is like going through a curated museum exhibit - I thought I was familiar with the era, then realized there are so many more gems out there - Thank You Melotown
Same. I thought I knew this era of hip hop until I heard this. Insane
yeah 90s some of the best times for music in general.
yup.
You ain't neva lied.

This deserves way more attention. Top track selection. 100% Real Hip Hop. Simply dope.
Good things better stay under the radar!
Couldn’t agree more!
Underground is not supposed to be Mainstream..

more attention and it ruins it.....
For me 90s is the Pinnacle for underground rap/ instrumental quality
90s was the pinnacle of the western spiritual opening. while people we're still experimenting in the 80s, it was the 90s where wutang and techno found it's balance.
listen to $uicideboy$. Scrim is definitely one of the best producers of all time with an ear for old 90s memphis samples like you won't believe
90 never forget you 😘😘😘👌
First track... honestly made me nod my head like automatically. I was born in the 90s (1992) but never heard much of 90s hip-hop. Being 30 now, I'm finally able to listen to gems I never heard before and part of it is thanks to this channel.
Yeah
Makes no sense
Same bro. Born in 91. This era of hip hop won t be beaten. Just my opinion
@@Toku91 Agreed. It won't be beaten.
So fresh to hear someone born in the 90s actually discover real hip hop. Ignore that shit these days. Hip hop dont exist anymore unless go go to the 90s
Liquid gold to my eardrums…I put this on while out fishing and just enjoying the day and it was ahhhhhhhh just , just, can’t find the word to describe it…. Much love to all of y’all feeling it and jamming out!
My man knows how to enjoy and appreciate life much love brother

yesss that sounds like paradise bro god bless you and keep livin right
The 90’s hip hop flow is so nostalgic! The flow it’s just smooth
Like butter
Perhaps the most recent great renaissance of artistic expression is American hip hop of the late 20th century. Artists today, especially hip-hop musicians, are struggling. The world that inspired these melodies, the hunger that fueled the art, is gone. the 90's were a perfect storm of technology and freedom coming to a previously under-served demographic of Americans. Nostalgia is impossible not to feel listening to this because most of the people who made this music were living on nothing but a prayer. This was their only outlet in a broken system that wanted them dead. I'm grateful for the world we inhabit today where anyone who is motivated can become wealthy through an endless variety of options, but the ease of access to a better life has done damage to the quality and creativity found in music today. Truly bittersweet.
Perfectly articulated@@Midnightsnack456
Those who didn't grew up in the 90s..lemme tell you something: The 90s wasn't a decade, it was an emotion
Well said
Look at you over there preachin!!!
Big facts

90'S hip hop is soul my man. A different dimension
Born in the 70’s, hip hop was my first true love (always). Thank you 🙏🏾
Thanks for the opportunity to jam these bangers. I never lived in the 80

So dope. Thanks for putting the time & effort into making this an incredible mix & video. The graphics are a wonderful flourish to such an outstanding mix of tracks.
Sharing this mix with all my friends. I recognise a handful of names total so this is like diving in the treasure trove. Big up for pulling this selection together and extra props for the wicked graphics and stats. Clean

This channel is pure gold. Walk down the street with a doob and you’re on top of the world. Or just let the sweet calming rhythms, rhymes and 90s nostalgia lull you to sleep…
Awesome mix. Finally A real underground hip hop mix. I used to hear some of these songs but didn't know the artists names or song titles to get them. Thanks man!! The songs you picked all bend and have the same essence and capture that particular moment of time in the 90's.
So many tracks I never heard. Thanks man. I feel like this mix is missing a Siah and Yeshua DapoED track but great work. Keep digging!
I'm losing hours of sleep being mesmerized by this mixtape, amazing mix and finds...totally worth the listen right now.

Thanks for posting this. Im normally a metalhead and I've been gravitating towards rap. And this shit is great. I love it all honestly. Its like the 90s had a whole different style that was way more real and chill. and intense when needed. Love it. Thanks
Just a big thanks for creating this mixtape. I really enjoy it! I'm from '91 and never heard any of these tracks. but loving the vibe 100% Greetz from The Netherlands

Best mix I have heard for loooong time now! Back to the roots when HipHop was just right
👌
This is by far the the deepest mix on KZhead I've listened to so many mixs and most underground mixes are what I'd call mainstream underground [ well known underground] this stack is from down under the basement
Mainstream G Shit... this shit dude got is dope though I can't stop listening
I barely EVER listen to any rap/hip hop nowadays. Stumbled upon this, can't stop listening...
Damn. It's like I'm 20 again and new shiz is being release. How did I not hear this shiz back then? Thank you for this.
Man, I'm 21 and I just started getting into what I consider real hip hop about 5 months ago. I was born in the BX but moved out at age 6 to FL, my dad is a heavy hip hop head and I've grown up around this kind of music. Growing up I liked this music but never understood it, settling for todays mainstream mediocracy. I am so glad I've opened my eyes.. this drives a passion in me that I cannot explain. Thank you for being the hand reaching out to each of us viewers, presenting projects that would've never seen any light if it weren't for your access and generosity!
