Reminds me when I was having fun learning MA decades ago and went to a YMCA gym in LA where a semi-pro boxer that was maybe around welterweight. Will never forget it, the guy was practically punching holes in the bag. Thinking, most people could not take more then one or two of those hits. Can only imagine Mike. You can see it in the video in slow motion when he does a full bodyweight hook.

Reminds me when I was having fun learning MA decades ago and went to a YMCA gym in LA where a semi-pro boxer that was maybe around welterweight. Will never forget it, the guy was practically punching holes in the bag. Thinking, most people could not take more then one or two of those hits. Can only imagine Mike. You can see it in the video in slow motion when he does a full bodyweight hook.

When you say "a man of his size", actually his size is small compared to most of the fighters he faced in the ring. At the time he became champion, he only weiged 218LBS, that's small compared to the fighters he fought who were weighing 235LBS, 250LBS and so fourth.
