We are excited to announce our brand new Original Prusa MINI, a smart and compact 3D printing workhorse with all the bells and whistles you’re accustomed to when you buy an Original Prusa 3D printer. The MINI has a print volume of 18 cm (7”) cubed, removable spring steel bed sheets, networking with ethernet and optional Wi-Fi and it’s all controlled by our brand new custom-made 32-bit Buddy mainboard with silent 2209 Trinamic drivers. The icing on the cake, we managed to do this (and more) for 349 USD / 379 EUR!
Shipping will start by the end of November. Order here: www.prusa3d.com/original-prus...
Everyone wants a prusa maxi version now.... The features and smartness of a prusa and the size of a cr-10
In fact, they also announced that they are working on a Prusa XL (400mm cubic print volume!). Can’t wait to see it!
Check out the Zaribo 320 MK3s Rel 3. That should be what you want. Although I'd prefer an original Prusa.
BIGGER! Why stop at 400mm when you can do 1m x 1m x 1m !? :D
I bet the Prusa XL will be a Cube setup like the Hypercube Evo.
@@rodsnyder6020 If I see it well, it's the same size plate, only bigger on Z. I would be rather looking at larger build plate - a CREALITY CR-10 S5 with 500x500 would be the good plate size. Well, probably more difficult to handle the first layer...
Now just a Prusa MAXI and the entire rest of the market is completely out of the question. It be like: All round? Prusa MK3. Entry level? Prusa MINI. SLA? Prusa. Company? Prusa. Hotel? Trivago.
Aaaaaaaaaa no hotend E3D BUT NICE JOKE
Triva...aaaaaah, nope, nice try though
In the newsletter josef said that there will be a prusa xl with a 40x40x40 printbed
Just make a prusa-resin XD
already did that. Made resin and filament
We want the LCD screen on the mk3/3’s 👌
Probably requires a new motherboard.
will come with the mk4, just wait a little longer
Probably on the mk4 i3
@@SixOThree Definitely as crappy 8 bit controllers don't have the grunt for a nice LCD's like this.
Totally agree.
I don't need it... But i want it

Same here, dude

@@matteocristini6221 lol i get it
$349! Wow! This looks like a GREAT starter printer.
CHEP yeah
Would not recommend to starters with that cantilevered design.
I bought a MK3S as my starter printer last week :( I would have started with this one and save a couple of hundredths
Omg I bought sidewinder x1 with that price LUL!
Can't wait for MK4 to be released - must be a lot of goodness, like 32bit ARM, Color screen, etc.
i guess we are getting it soon
Better extruder non overheating extruder motor with maybe 3:1 gear ratio. Better heatbreaks so it won’t clog (not to say the prusa isn’t good. I love them but it isn’t free of problem) But yeah specially a 32 bit MCU would be great. Specially since they’re actually cheaper
Do you think i should wait for it? Because i want a new 3d Printer and i dont want to buy it when a month later the mk4 release is...
@@Cedi404 yeah doesn't hurt to wait. you probably won't get it shipped soon anyway. the mk4 and mini seem like totally different league or kind of printers
@@chloemcholoe3280 but i want a i3 mk3s is it still great?

Look at your Ender 3 Now look over here. Now look at your Ender 3 again. Now look over here. Don’t you wish your Ender 3 was a Prusa? (I do 🤫)
It's almost half the cost at times, so you've saved up money to invest in a better printer a couple years down the line! So no worries tbh!
The Ender 3 can be found for like $150 during sales. That's 1/2 the price of this thing.
Isogen I know. But it’s a constant need for tweaking and parts replacement, and a humongous fire hazard. I’ve had mine for a year, and it’s had about six months downtime. It could’ve been less, of course, but it has required a ton of maintenance.
Look at my ender 3, running on 32bit, 2209 steppers and all the other good stuff, printing flawlessly, Now look over there. Now look back at my ender 3 having almost all metal parts, printing way better detail than the prints shown here at 0.25mm nozzle. Now look back over there. Dont you wish your Printer was a custom Ender 3 for about half the price of this? No... honestly, its not bad for beginners and im sure its a great printer. but its about 100$ too expensive for what it is. And with the ender as a bang-for-the-buck champion most people that have one are happy with it and are rather going to build / buy a way more serious printer than this as their second one.
rainer rauser Dude, I’m glad you got it all dialed in and doing what you like. But that $100 difference is driving innovation in a non-totalitarian country and paying workers a halfway decent wage. I’m not saying China is the devil or that Prusa, Inc. is an angel. I’m just saying that there’s different ways of looking at that $100. Cheers, dude. Happy printing.
Not gonna lie. I dance in my chair when this comes up in KZhead ads.
seller: how many engines do you need? Joseph Prusa: yes
i just ordered two minis :D fuck me im so excited
Correct answer 10.... Billons
Wow! I didn't see that coming. What an awesome printer. The smarts you've included give me a feel of what may be to come. I might even get one. Fantastic work guys.
Woah this like EVERYTHING I ever wanted or complained about!
Damn, was just about to order an Ender 3 as my first 3D printer.. Now I have ordered this instead.
did you make the right decision?
Hell yeah he did.
Good choice. You would suffer with the Ender 3. Its a PAIN
I don't have mine yet, but i think you'll love it. 3D printing can be a hobby in and of itself.
I was just getting ready to buy another mk3s. Then this comes out, and as I almost exclusively print small parts i'm thinking, hmm, well i've raised the funds. maybe i'll just get two of these instead ...
AGHAHGHHHH! THIS IS EVERYTHING I WANTED! THANK YOU PRUSA! now I can start my KZhead channel :3
Oh well this fantastic, great work as always!
Love it. I'm using it for two years now and it's awesome
O wow... That's looks like an awesome printer. Gonna get myself one. Thank you for the continuous innovation
I really like how this printer is modification friendly. Standard 24V heater-connectors, Firmware having been updated over time to allow for easy configuration/tuning for other Hotends/Extruders. If i want to install say a E3D Revo i'd only need to print one single part to get it done!
One of those should be in every classroom.
I just watched the cute video "The Road to 100,000 Original Prusa 3D printers " and because of that video I was confident in ordering my first Prusa printer. The Mini just ticks all the right boxes for me :D
The Prusa XL will be the machine we all are waiiting for, come on Josef keep up the good work!
Looks great with the Display! Good Job.
Wow looks too good to be true, love the slick design - can't wait for it ^^
Cheap prusa printer: Me: I have been looking forward to this!
Yea it’s nice but I mean anycubic is just like kinda a Chinese nock off that is actually pretty good still they copied the original prusa i3 but then started making their own printers and they are pretty good and cheap
@@-Name-here- I guess the i3 mega and other printers are ok but my Kossel is super low quality, I guess why that's why it isn't that popular. Don't buy the Kossel, I regretted it.
@Nad sorry to hear that
Now imagine an MK4 with all of those features but large build volume. Maybe there is something big to come... I would absolutely buy it, as my MK3 has nearly 4000 hours now without any problems.
Your printer has no hotent problem?
@@armauricnc3135 No, even still printing on the forst nozzle. The only Thing I made was adding a cooler for the extruder stepper. But I didn't have any Problems. I just had the feeling that the stepper got quite hot and I didn't like this.
Ohhhhhhhhh I love it!!!!!!! what an amazing bunch of things that I always want in a 3d printer, congrats!
Awesome mini 3D printer. Can't wait to test it out!
OMG Prusia XL, I can't wait!!!
I buy other printers to tinker and upgrade. I buy a Prusa when I just need a print to work
I saw the mini at ERRF yesterday and looks amazing. I see a future MK4 right there.
OMG! great design! Thanks
Man I can’t wait for my mini, hopefully it will start shipping next week!
This is awesome! As a MK2S owner I've been wanting some of the MK3 upgrades, but can't justify a whole new printer, and I'm not willing to step down in quality
Amazing! I was looking for a small 3d printer with high quality standards and I think I found it :)
Woah!! I just bought a Monoprice select mini v2 as a backup to my mk3s. I wish I had this instead, it looks perfect
holy crap 350 usd. WOW. I might have to buy another printer this year...
Im so excited put in an order even the time it'll take to arrive will be worth it
Great machine, great company, great innovation !
Just ordered one for myself, I had an Ender-3 before (and was tired of manual bed levelling 🙄). Looking forward to receiving it!
Great video! Congrats on the Mini but I can’t wait to order my Prusa XL! 😁😁😁
I saw at ERRF!! Super awesome 👍
oh my god i need one so much! i have been hoping to buy a prusa as a starter. this is it im going to get saving, hopfully get enough money before christmas 5* thinking josef!
Love the mini, been using them since it came out.
Awesome.! really happy about this
Good Job from Morocco.....Prusa you are the BEST
Just when 3 days ago I was thinking hmmmm, has anyone built a mini prusa? Should I try? Anyway so cool! I want one now!
Well, I was expecting a larger scale version. But this looks interesting as a starter's machine. I'm a bit sceptical about the cantilevered x-axis though.
The cantilever works well on the Cetus, but then again that uses linear slides for extra rigidity.
Couldn't agree more about the larger printer. Asked for a 16" build cube for years now.
Paul Scott Beat me to it. I wanted to buy the Cetus, but I’m glad I didn’t, because it’s totally locked down. I love Prusa’s commitment to open hardware and software, and their grit in sticking with it when the cheap crap clones come out. A whole lot better story than that silly company whose name rhymes with FlakerFlot.
I have a cheap ~$115 chinese printer that's like this but with v-wheels for x and z and I haven't had much of an issue with the cantilevered axis. I just had to make sure the eccentric nut on the z v-wheels was holding tightly. acceleration and jerk on the bed might need to be set lower than on an i3 so that the motion of the y axis doesn't affect the x axis. But with everything tuned I can say that it works very well
Using a cantilevered axis is extremely poor engineering. I'll be waiting for the Mk4 or Mk4S.
I was thinking about getting an Ender 3, But now I'm definitely gonna have too get a Prusa mini.
I want one right away because I will be at the Designers' Open exhibition with my Prusa MK3s (24.-27.10. Leipzig). The Mini would be a great addition! Can't wait until November!
Ohhhh yes! I started my 3D printing adventure using an Ender-2 and modding it almost as good as a Prusa, quality wise. Tought me a lot! But I never needed anything bigger, this is perfect to get into this wonderful community! And I spent more on that modded Ender then this costs.
@WxBB TxCH Oh I can imagine that, I replaced almost everything on it. But it was a great platform (as in cheap and sturdy enough) to learn on. And after I basically rebuilt it, it was awesome. It is that 100 hours that made it worth it for me as that's not wasted, but learned.
@WxBB TxCH Exactly! And buying a Prusa I3 MK2 or 3 as my first printer to then mod, would've been a way steeper cost. So I like they existed, but ofcourse only for those that want to tweak. This Prusa mini is priced extremely well to start with.
ordered one hope to get it before christmas
Perfect timing - was going to buy another one tomorrow
The big difference is that you'll probably have to wait a long time for this mini.
Yeah figured. Ordered the original Prusa now. Mainly because of the community
These are great workhorse printers.
Buying this for sure!
This would be great ABS(ASA) workhorse !!! Can't wait to see enclosure for this.
Great little printer :-) Thanks for sharing :-)
What a great printer quality, I will soon buy my first Prusa printer. I have just started in the world of 3d printing. I have an ender 3 pro and I agree. but Prusa is another category.
Looks great cant wait to get one. Thanx
Get one of these to Joshua Bardwell! Great connection to the FPV community!
Wow , i need to add this on my list 🤗
Didn’t know it was coming. Really great machine and look at that screen 👍. Next machine we are waiting for .... a @prusa3d maxi 😄
Great, I love it. I can't wait to see it.
Prusa Mini + Slim Joseph = Slim Mini = Awesome 💟
Yeah, this will be my entry printer.
Looks like you can make use of 32 bit board after all :-) awesome little machine, I'm starting to save up for it.
We need a maxi version now.

@WxBB TxCH that's still small. I want 1km by 1km. :{J

This is one of your best move joseph !
You know someone will come out with a brace mod to stiffen up the X-axis. Or mod for linear rails.
Just placed my order, already thinking of the possibilities
Hell Yes! And now to the MK4 i am aming for..
I’m intrigued. I thought for sure Prusa would offer something large scale with those features. I’d love to see one of these
Read their blog. They are working on an XL version that will be 40x40x40, and they anticipate that improvements brought in with the Mini and XL will end up as upgrades to the I3 MK3.
Es genial..pequeña..y poderosa..la impresora ideal para un escritorio..gracias por esto !
Don't need but want. Good job on that one.
OMG! In the last time i was thought to disign this machin by my selve!
Left off New Zealand off the map lol never mind not the first major company to do so haha i have mk2 and mk3 still love it
I already am in possession of a Mk2s and a Mk3s. A smaller build volume than those two is by default less appealing to me. But I want to have such one just to have it 😍
Dam, look's great! i want one. Next time i need a machine i want a Prusa i love small printers
Welp. I'm about to order 4 of them for the farm *stepper driver noises*
I want this, been looking for smaller cheaper prusas for YEARS
and for the amazing quality of prusas 300 bucks is great!
Niece and nephew have always been bugging me for my printer. Might've found them their Christmas present.
Official News from Prusa::::: we’re working on a little something you may call a “Prusa XL”. Expect a print volume of 40 cm cubed and a lot more! This won’t be merely a bigger MK3S - using the same design would bring way too many issues (heavy heatbed, less stability with higher Z-axis values). Instead, we plan to base the XL on CoreXY architecture. It will feature a new geared extruder and an improved heatbed - among other things.
The features make the 350 on this machine better than 200 for a ender 3 pro for me. I don't use any materials this cannot use and use well directly out of the box with zero upgrades. That 200 dollar ender pro is really about 300 when you order all the needed upgrades along with it. Prusa customer service is on a different level as well, so much more reliable.
Looks nice.
I think I found my next 3D printer. Been wanting a Prusa after the experience of throwing a bunch of upgrades into an Ender 3 and still not getting any decent prints out of it.
Oh. Now I want a prusa
I thought I saw a post about a mini Prusa i3 mk3 but I didn't realize you were making a real thing
Anyone else skeptical about the rigidity of the overarm style XY axis? Such a tempting pricepoint though
At this small volume, absolutely not. At all. If I were thinking about direct drive, maybe. I don't use any materials that require the benefits of direct drive however. So the machines stock setup is the business for me. I just want a good machine with good customer support that I don't have to tinker with for hours to see quality prints. With all the features this is looking like it for me!
Exactly what i didn’t know i needed until i saw it! Order placed but its already back ordered lol
Vanilla Gomez it’s not back ordered. It’s preorder. Big difference
Tyler Lucas yea i know the difference, my order status says “backordered” bruh
Vanilla Gomez they aren’t shipping until late Nov. literally says it on the page.
Tyler Lucas ok either way that sounds good to me, i just thought pre order and back ordered were 2 different things but i hope you are right so i can also get it around the same time, thanks!
I really want that Color screen on my Mk3s.. :o
Nice. This may be one I can afford.
This will be probably the real entry printer .. I have an ender 3 but with hours of tinkering and upgrades, bltouch, etc. now my printer is perfectly dialed in. But it took hours and tinkering which was not user friendly. This new Prusa Mini looks good for the low entry market and hopefully 3D printing will boom soon.
Same here
I was hoping for a larger MK3, but maybe next year. Still a very impressive machine and great price point. I can see many schools buying these machine for Stem Classes.
blog.prusaprinters.org/original-prusa-mini-is-here-smart-and-compact-3d-printer/
Would be great to have this display also for the MK3S.
I'm torn about the screen. Do I want that on my MK3S, or do I want to wait or a color TOUCH screen? I think the touch screen might be a better option. But, I'll tell you right now, I'd have a hard time deciding which machine to buy if I were in the market today. The mini looks amazing. Of course, I wouldn't expect anything but amazing from Prusa.
Literally just ordered a mk3s a day before this announcement
Might get this as a secondary printer
Why am I watching this? I already ordered mine!
