Extra bass is a check Plus for me.
FINALLY..now I can afford the XM4s!
I have one XB line up speaker, sometimes we love the extra bass, but built in equalizer can make neutral
From looking at these id say sony has made a foldable xm5 which should be the xm6z and thats dope 🤣🔥
Noise reduction on calls is a non issue if you have an iPhone voice isolation cuts out all background noise

My xb900n just broke a few weeks ago, and I was looking for options to replace them with. I got in the soundcore space ones today and they’re pretty good, but I’m far from satisfied with their NC performance, so if these can match the 900N, these are getting picked up next

The Sony ULT WEAR are so comfortable, much more than the XM4/XM5 or anything else. For that reason they are worth a buy.
this is replacing the eXtra Bass line? because there are speakers coming with the Ult name too, maybe there will be Ult in-ear headphones as well

In theory they should. XM5s were released in May 2022. Sony typically is on a two-year update cycle.

The 910s were trash when I got them. I exchanged them within 2 days for the XM4s and haven’t regretted it. Still love them!
Listening to LDAC derived headphones on an iPhone without any equaliser is no justice!
I think they could do better with the name, but I guess it's better than "WH-1000x m__". I have the Xm5's and enjoy them a lot for daily use although I don't usually travel with them. I'm not a huge "bass head," but if that's how these Ult headphones are marketed, then I don't have a problem with that.
Does it get warm on ears ? After how many minutes ?
I'm sure they do. My XM4s get warm after about an hour of wear. It's the nature of the padding they use.

I never really understood quite what the problem with the names is, I just call mine XM4s. If I google it or xm5s I just put that in. HAving said that, the long version is unnecessary!
Sony would actually do better to release an XM5 Ultra headphone. The problem with bluetooth headphones, and I suppose earbuds as well, is that you are basically forced to choose between top of the line ANC and top sound quality. If you want top ANC, you have buy Sony or Bose. If you want great sound, you must buy Senheiser, B&W, Bang & Olufsen, etc. You basically can't get both in one product. Sony knows how to make great sounding products. They have decades of experience with amps and speakers. They can easily make a headphone that rivals the brands mentioned above in terms of sound quality with their S tier ANC, comfort and charge $600. I'm pretty sure there would be many many takers for such a product.
I'm using the Sony xm4 to listen to this while waiting on the Samsung Galaxy tab S9+ . Amazing sounds and great pictures

Well, I'd say good luck, I have the XM5 And no I will not get rid of mine, please for these. I know the Bass is perfect but I prefer the sound stage and clarity of the XM5 And I find it really weird, leaving a flagship exit for a mid. Range
@@jesuscervantesj82 I agree, don't have to leave the flagship, you can actually have both. I have the xm4's and have always preferred their sound over the xm5's (I love Bass). I think I'll pick these ULT wear, not to replace my xm4's, but there are times where I just want that rattle. In fact, before I heard of the ULT wear, I was looking at the Skullcandy Crashers, but these came in just in time.
Wondering how they are compared to v-moda crossfade 3 wireless 🤔 The v-moda dont have anc. But they have lots of metal parts. Not plastic. So really durable.
They look huge... Especially on me with super short hair/blading man.
Yeah I did not feel the Sony XM5 has a ultimate deep extra bass, it feels like the vibration than a curated sound.
I would recommend Sony to use Ultimate or Sony Ultra or Sony Marx 5, Sony doesn’t have a very good grasp on marketing there products because the design is beautiful but cheaply made to built and the technology, I wish Sony can try going universal through firmware updates to improve the quality of sound in there flagship’s as well the other models. 360 Audio should not come with a subscription app if Apple can use Sony’s Spatial Audio through a tab of a button in Settings, what is stoping Sony from doing the same in there Sony Headphone app, activate 360 Audio or improve Bass line and all of this can be done to improve the use of their app so you don’t have to wait for somebody else to do it for you.
Marx 5 likely is not a good idea, but "mach 5" or "mark 5" would work fine.
Interesting headset but i will keep my XM5'S cause i love them so much and bass is not an issue for me i find the balanced sound a plus for me
The ULT's are basically just a budget version of the XM5, so they definitely weren't made for people that already own the top of the line.

Yes, they are very comfortable, actually one of the most comfortable headphones around, more than the XM5.
@@oliverstemp9132 thank you! I actually bought them right away after sound guys review. They are as you say super comfy and the best ones ive used so far. Ive tried the beats studio pro, xm4 and bose 45 none of them fit my ears and was just uncomfy to wear.
Ok, so its an upgrade of the base model stuff. Still holding out for the next XM6
same, downgrade from XM5, I already have XM4 but switched to the new Bose. Maybe XM6 will be the move as this ULT bass tech I've seen is much because from what I've heard its exaggerated bass. Hope XM6 brings back the folding

it looks like you can stick either anime antennas or security cameras on both ends for the design style because it looks like something is missing. looks really weird on the head.

Ult is better overall except the sensory bass and battery life. Better NC, better sound quality, better eq app. ULT is better unless you don’t care about sound quality and want just sensory bass.

So here's my only concern. I got the ULT Wear and I love them for the most part, with one exception. They need more volume. One or two more volume steps would do it for me. I also have the crusher anc 2, and they have slightly higher max volume. So I'm gonna spam this comment around, maybe we can convince sony to give this to us via a software update. I know they want to protect our ears (avoid lawsuits), maybe they can program the headphones to give a loud volume warning like many phones already do and keep it pushing. some content is just recorded at a lower volume... LETS ALL BEG SONY FOR THIS UPDATE!!
