VOLCANIC ERUPTION | CUMBRE VIEJA LA PALMA | 8K

80 892 Рет қаралды

The 2021 Cumbre Vieja volcanic eruption began on 19 September 2021 and lasted for 86 days, making it the longest and most destructive since records began on La Palma.
We had the chance to capture it between October 11th and 16th, getting a small impression of what the local population had to endure for over 3 months.
The lava flow has covered over 1000 hectares, destroyed more than 3000 buildings and caused the evacuation of over 7000 people. Damage is estimated to be close to 1 Billion Euro.

  • This eruption started shortly after the unexpected death of our dear and lovely younger sister. Every night I watched the live feed, thankful that the stunning images in red and gold created a warm glow in my room, countering the shocked chill in my mind and heart. Your film is a glorious celebration of the truly awesome nature of our beautiful planet.

  • I remember watching this when you released it, and it was truly impressive. It was refreshing seeing something original like this on KZhead. So I was expecting it to have passed several hundred thousand views by now... Sometimes I don’t understand KZhead’s algorithm. This video deserves a lot more attention for sure.

  • This.. is just something altogether beyond breathtaking and stunning... Just.. Wow.. What a phenomenal job on this, music, visuals, editing, all of it. Just beyond incredible.. What a journey this all has been. But not for a second am I disappointed it's over. SHAME on any who would be. This beast was beautiful and awe inspiring for sure. But also altogether devastating for the people of LP, on a multitude of levels. Now the next phase can begin, and they have a long road to recovery. I encourage all those who got so much out of this to please, if you have the means, donate what you can. It all matters!

  • Instantly recognised the music as the same soundtrack as you used for "Calbuco", Ryan Tarbert's "Anomaly" theme. Loved that. I can't believe it's taken this long for me to actually notice this video (thank you, KZhead's algorithm...) but I'm so glad I did. Stunning, stunning work. Your cinematography is second-to-none.

  • Unbelievable. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece with us. I have been following you for years, and even though I'm young, I can tell, you're a master of capturing change over time. "Eruption"... Things becoming balanced, one or another. pressure differences force new magma up, starting slow. Seeping through cracks, flowing naturally, showering, until finally it's erupting.. whether it's dead of night, or high noon, the eruption shines, like it belongs in the sky... Anyway, thank you so much, for posting this stuff for free . You're helping the world learn. Take care, Martin. keep up the grind, and keep shining ✨
