  • I'm surprised the two gents during the original video didn't burst out laughing when the cat came onscreen! The guy with the beard smiled at the "I'm not a cat" line, but I would've lost it before then! I keep that clip in my Saved list like for when I need a laugh and it hasn't failed me yet ☺️

  • What most people don't know is, whoever won that case, got their law license without having to pass the bar. He really is a cat, and he was looking for his human filter. Cats can't take the bar. "I'm not a cat" is a dead giveaway.

  • I'm convinced cats are agents of comedy. Unintentionally, sure. I mean, they are very serious creatures and would no doubt be incensed if they understood the meaning of the names we give them, and how much we laugh at videos of them, but they do bring us so much humour that it almost seems like that is their purpose.

  • Great story. Lawyer cat was an immediately relatable experience that drew upon our natural empathy while at the same time providing a great moment of innocent, harmless fun. The lawyer himself has a voice that could easily inhabit animated characters on screen. New career??

    • He won the case. And the video was posted by the judge who also found it very funny. I don't think there is anyone in this world who would not find that funny. If anything I think the lawyer promoted himself even more than he could have done by a hard working career. I didn't knew there was a lawyer called Ponton in Texas untill I saw this video and if I ever need a lawyer there he would be my first option for sure. (cat filter mandatory)🤣🤣🤣

    • Definitely, otherwise why would he say he wasn't a cat? You'd have to be super stressed or crazy to say that. Or maybe it's a lawyer thing to be uber factual because someone might dispute the case later by saying it was unlawful for a talking cat to be in virtual court.

  • Cat is the default setting in the Dell webcam. Yet another reason to use Linux - especially on Dell computers.

  • Yes, it was a funny incident but webcam shouldn't have a filter cutesy default. Rather than give a history of webcam/video clarity, Dell's CTO should have explained how this happened; was a cat filter purposefully (and stupidly) set as the default or was it an engineer's prank (more likely)? The story highlights the negative impact it had, especially on those using the camera professionally, but the failed to show how and/or why it happened in the first place.

  • I am not a cat person. I had 2, they died of old age. I feed a couple strays, that's it. A lot of drama over a cat Avatar. Dell computers are quite bad. I steer clear of Dell.
