  • Dr. Grundry I'v been following you for quite a while and this is getting ridiculous. No beans, no night shades, no sugar, no fructose. no spinach, no nut skin, no pasta, no rice, no potatoes, no grains, now little to no protein. What the hell are we supposed to eat ? COME ON MAN

I’ve done food allergy testing to pinpoint sensitivities and eggs did not raise any of my inflammatory markers. Americans farmers back in the 50's ate the kind of breakfast that most Doctors would not recommend, Eggs, grits, sausage or bacon along with biscuits or toast. Nothing in this group could cause "Leaky Gut" except the biscuits. As far as I can recall, farmers in the 50's live very long productive lives, of course after breakfast they would go out and work their farms all day (which means burning calories), not laying around the house watching the view 😆😆

  • Eggs are unique and one of the best food sources. Matter of fact you’ll be hard pressed to get enough choline and phospholipids from anywhere else. Here’s the background: Gundry worked for Loma Linda, which is a 7th Day Adventist hospital. 7th Day is a strict vegetarian religion. They mix in healthcare and religion, and this is why Gundry is so against animal protein.

  • Interesting. I did Keto during Covid pandemic to lose weight before ACL surgery. I lost 50 lbs (230-180) and I ate 1 -2 eggs, bacon and sausage every morning for a few months and more protein heavy lunch/dinner. At the start I had high cholesterol, high LDL and was pre-diabetic. After this diet, all of those numbers dropped to bottom of the "normal" or recommended ranges. My doc was pretty impressed. Maybe I didn't do more detailed test than the standard annual blood exam? I gained abt 10 back, but currently, I am on a mostly KETO diet, but a time restricted feeding diet along with supplements you recommend, Doc., along with NMN, Resveratrol and other items in the regimen from David Sinclair. I've lost 27lbs since starting the TRF diet, now back to my high school dating weight. Still little to no sugar or refined carbs or high-lectin veggies. My chol. is up a little as is LDL, but nothing to worry about.

  • Exercise increases IGF-1, so according to the logic in this video older people should stop exercising then which obviously doesn't make sense as exercise is fairly generally admitted as being healthy. And the claim about 20-30 grams of protein being enough doesn't seem to pan out according to people that actually study the field who say optimal is something like 1.2 to 1.6g of protein per kg of body weight and older people need it especially to prevent muscle loss and becoming frail. Protein is essential to repairing things like the intestinal gut lining, that even the doctor making these videos talks about. So if one wants to be healthy, why would they choose to be deficient in the things that potentially protects them from things like leaky gut.

  • Dr. Gundry I appreciate you sharing this information but sugar doesn’t cause diabetes because I been off sugar for 15 years to not become diabetic. I tested AC1 a few months ago and I am pre diabetics. I don’t get it, why I am diabetic? I took my diet very serious. In 15 years I never had a soda, candies, cakes or anything had sugar in the ingredients. If that’s the case then becoming diabetic make no sense. In my opinion protein is way better than vegetables because vegetables were added to human diet. It was not part of our ancestors diet. When there is no proper study done on this matter it’s really hard to know what is good and what is bad to eat. Nowadays there are so many doctors on the internet sharing different information. I am as confused as when I go see them in their office. I am 35 years of age and trying to get healthy again. It’s not easy with all of these doctors sharing different information about 1 single topic. It would be nice if you share with us the source for this information.

    • I'm in the same situation and feel I go insane...listening to this video I was just eating my 3 scrambled eggs with mushrooms and sausage...eggs are my base every day...but I can't say I'm very healthy...but I'm almost sure that not the eggs are the problem...maybe not the food in general...I think our disconnected way of living form nature, ourself and other people. I feel very alone in this world and, especially in the winter I'm game over. I need a lit if emotional support, but every one us to busy to be there and because of my lack of energy I can't keep with their busy life, so I'm left behind. I realised that if I die today in my house, there will be days till someone will notice I'm missing. Because I'm not in the production world every day, where most of the people are. And I have friends and family that I really believe they care, but still no one has time just to be there for you when you need it. It was very painful to realize this. Sincerely I think this is what makes us weak in the first place and easy to get sick like a consequence. In the summer, because of the light and being a lot in the nature I'm doing much better and I can survive the loneliness better. But in the winter, leaving in Holland, I still didn't find out how to keep connected to the nature and the lack of light is killing me. So my conclusion is that nowadays our disregulated nerves system is the root case to all this things. We need to get back to ourselves, nature and be again for each other and slowly everything will fall in balance. I wish you to be able to sleep good, to toch the ground with your barefoot every day, have sunlight if it's possible, fight" to do" because you want and you like not because you have to, don't hurry and e grateful if you have people in your life for which you are a priority and make them also your priority, just together we can thrive, loneliness gets you bitter, sick and in the and insane🙌

As a plus, I avoid any type of carbs except the ones from low glycemic index fruits, I eat also a lot of fiber and greens and I do a lot of sport. Eating plants , making sport and eating low/normal amount of proteins was helpful, but blood glucose was still not as low as it is since I increased animal protein intake.

  • among most of my grandparents who did not die with cancer ate eggs because usual start of day was eggs, milk, corn flakes. Except one who got cancer in 90s, none of the other died with cancer even in his own family among those who ate it. My vegetarian friend who I hardly even saw have dairy because she was very weight conscious died with bone cancer at 25. We are really being made to believe things that are pushing us away from root cause of the problems. If cancer was caused by meat or eggs, it should have impacted all of my family members who regularly ate it and none of them were lifting weights or going to gym. They were active and walked daily. But what I saw is they all mostly lived disciplined life. One of my grandfathers who lived very close to 100 in late 90 was an omnivore, but maintained healthy lifestyle. Body is indeed another name for disease and today's toxic environment is a further cause of it.

From what others explain, and from personal experience, eating meat with fat makes one feel full for a long time, thus reduces the total number of calories ingested daily. Add some vegetables and the production of IGF-1 will be limited… that’s basically the Mediterranean diet…

  • Researchers like Alan Aragon or Brad Schoenfeld, who specialize in fitness and muscle hypertrophy, come up with way, WAY higher recommendations than 20-30 grams of protein a day, after they scooped up dozens of studies together. The cancer building potential of IGF-1 (which increases with animal protein full of leucine) depends a lot of your lifestyle. It's heavily affected by how much exercise you do, how glycogen depleted your muscles are, how insulin sensitive they are, how much repair they need etc. IGF-1 doesn't just get distributed evenly throughout the body. It can have more affection for receptors in the muscles, if you actually use them for moderate to heavy exercise. This video sheds too much of a simplistic view on the mechanics on these 'cancer building hormones' in my view.
