  • I was totally awestruck at 3:44 the distinction between the chorus and the solo is so clear that you can almost hear it, haha! Not to mention the pace it has to be done at, to maintain the tempo. And how the song falls back into melody amidst the chaos instantly with the sweet transition at 4:07 All of it is incredibly good.

    • @@lucasimbiriba ok, I've seen it. I see what you can do. Now, as a guitarist, I would like to suggest your next challenge - Spain. You might as well go all the way bro. This way you get do do that alternating latin bass, and you can just do a full on jazz solo over it. Of course it won't really be improvised because of all the interplay with the bass you'll have to figure out. But, you will make it sound like it's improvised ;. ) Also, you can do something no one has done yet - you'll take that main head part and harmonize it. Just to totally rub it in people's faces I suggest you take a listen to the Navy Band Commodores version. It's so high energy, and is a cool arrangement. You'll get some ideas from it. Spain bro. If anyone can do it. It's you.

  • I was making music from 8yrs old on the piano, by ear as I couldn't read. However, due to a lack of self-belief I never thought I'd be good enough when I reached my teens. Yet I've always wondered “what if I could have been”. But you've just answered that for me. Your rendition was absolutely mind-blowing. I've never seen anything quite like that before. You made one of the most difficult pieces look like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Just sublime

  • Well Lucas, I always wait to comment after I've seen a new performance at least 10 times because that's how many times I need to see it to fully comprehend and absorb all of the nuances and finesse that you incorporate into a composition by some magical means that is beyond my understanding. Once again, you took a piece of music that everyone knows very well and you give us an entirely different, yet familiar version of it that is a completely new experience that can never be forgotten. You are at a level of technical mastery already that most of us will never hope to achieve, but your playing inspires us nevertheless to challenge ourselves to broaden our scope of abilities and become even better than we ever thought we could become. Finally, I eagerly await more original compositions from you because if you are able to perform original fingerstyle pieces that contain the musical impact and technical prowess of the covers that you have done, then I believe you easily join the ranks of the greatest fingerstyle players the world has known. I feel sure many of your fans agree!
