Ya, especially considering the 1959 Cadillac was one of the heaviest American cars ever made, ya they couldn’t do that with the basic sedan let alone the Ambulance model. It was cool to see ecto 1 again though. 🤞hopefully it’s good. Also yes someone had to have been doing regular maintenance on that vehicle to be that preserved. Even if it’s not in the best condition. Good point sams videos.

In a movie where an interdimentional demi-god invades another plain of existence, possesess town folk to do its bidding and creates mischievious minions from sugar based confections, the 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Futura Duplex (with ambulance/hearse conversion) is RIDICULOUS!!     • @@allencampbell3350 Well. All things that are interdimensional, yes sure. But the car was built by humans. In the filmworld, the car was also built by humans. One of the first rules of screenwriting is that things in the world you create should remain consequential. The things that are meant to be paranormal, are paranormal, the things that are meant to be real, should be real. The car has been introduced in the first film as being a regular car. Never were there any otherworldly suspensions introduced. Maybe it will be introduced in this film, who knows. Then I'll rest my case.

    • Same here my friend. Ignore the haters, they're daddies clearly didn't love them enough. That musical cue was perfectly timed and oh so beautiful. From what I've been hearing people who saw the surprise early screening at NYCC, if this made us cry, we're going to need to bring tissues to the theater.

    • They said they used both practical and CGI for the Ghosts. I mean the Ghost in GB2 were practial, just double exposed. Most likely that when is CGI, unless it's a puppet for some parts.

    • Yeah, I mean, it didn't do much new. It is pretty much what we already knew. I like that it's not going to far into it. But seeing how from the toys/reviews and even Bill Murry Coments we know the rest of the OG team come back (At least for the final battle) keeping them in hiding is killing me. I am sure they are doing tha tin part, because they know the old school fans will want to go and see them.

    • @@mandismith89 They'll show up as fan service cameos in the third act so that they can pass the torch and the franchise can complete it's transition into the trendier, kid friendlier, Stranger Things. I'd much rather they'd pass it onto adults (Coon and Rudd are actually perfect in that regard) and stuck with the PG-13 tone that the original had and would have earned, had PG-13 existed at the time. This feels like pandering.

They could still mess it up no matter how good the trailers make them look. Look at the latest Star Wars films and Star Trek series as clear examples to be cautious.
