Not the same. He is singing more 'technical' now. He used to have a natural talent but not a very good technique, plus he was on drugs, etc. I kinda miss his back then vocal tone, more of a tortured soul, but I'm glad he is doing ok now.

The AMAZING thing about beautiful music is that is energy and transcends languages. I grew up loving this song and feeling it in every bone without having any idea what they were saying. I just watched the live 8 performance from 2005 and it considerably better in terms of this guys voice. That's not to say he can't sing and he doesn't still sound good. Age is setting in his register has weakened a bit

Not the same. He is singing more 'technical' now. He used to have a natural talent but not a very good technique, plus he was on drugs, etc. I kinda miss his back then vocal tone, more of a tortured soul, but I'm glad he is doing ok now.

The AMAZING thing about beautiful music is that is energy and transcends languages. I grew up loving this song and feeling it in every bone without having any idea what they were saying. As I grew older and learned the language I liked it even more. So much melancholy transmitted during this song, its beautiful.
