  • This entire concert was one of the most beautiful moments in music history. Tragedy brings people together, and this was another example of that. I remember watching this on the BBC at the time, like millions of others. Even now, an anthem like Don’t Look Back in Anger is so powerful, and that’s why it was chosen 🐝❤️

    • Eugene J Ariana was in the title because it was her night. The people died at her show so this was her way of handling it. She did great all throughout the show so if she didn't necessarily put all her energy into this one song then I forgive her. Johnny played the solo the exact way as the original recording, nothing impressive about that. If anything I think the Manchester crowd made this performance amazing. Nothing beats singing Oasis with just about the entirety of Manchester singing along.

    • Because it's a bittersweet moment - she's at a wonderful show and watching some of her favorite singers, but at the same time she's thinking about the reason for the show, and the people who were horribly hurt or killed just a few weeks before. That's why the image is a perfect symbol for the concert as a whole. It's joy and beauty and sadness and loss all at once - just like the One Love Manchester event itself.

Quite frankly, it's a pathetic and sad indictment of a once proud people who have descended into decadence and nihilism, and are terrified to assert themselves even in the face of existential danger. What about the next time they 'distrupt' our way of life, will we have another party then too? Or how about the time after that, or the time after that? How many parties do you need to have before you wake up and realise we are at war and actually need to do something about it?

  • For those hating on Ariana in the comment section, please read this: On May 22, 2017 suicide bomber Salman Abedi killed 22 people at an Ariana Grande concert. On May 25, three days later, a minute's silence was held in St Ann's square in memory of the innocent victims. But out of the silence a single voice was heard. Lydia Bernsmeier-Rullow began to sing the Oasis song, Don't Look Back in Anger. Soon the crowd joined in and a video of the moment went viral. Don't Look Back in Anger became an anthem of solidarity and strength in the aftermath of the Manchester Arena terror attack. The song was then sung by Chris Martin at Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester Concert on June 4, to raise money for the victims and to rally spirits after such a traumatic event. Ariana Grande decided to put on One Love Manchester concert, a benefit concert in Manchester for the victims just a couple of weeks after the tragedy. Let’s just pause and think about this for a second. She didn’t do this from the safety of a studio in LA and beam it in by satellite. She didn’t just go on TV to denounce the attack and express support for the victims. She didn’t just record a song and donate the proceeds to charity (although she did donate the royalties from the re-release of her hit “One Last Time” to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund). But... She went back to Manchester. Back to the place where she wasn’t that far away from being a victim of the attack herself. And she put on a show, the like of which Manchester has never seen, with some of the biggest names in pop music on the stage with her. Credits: bbc.com mirror.co.uk medium: @NoWordsNoSong - The title just state "Chris Martin and Ariana Grande - Don't Look Back in Anger". It's not misleading, as both of them are in this video. Also, Chris Martin said, "You've been singing a lot for us so I think we want to sing for you... This is from us to you." People, why are you so mad? Why it bother you so much, that she wasn't singing? Let's be real... There's no way she doesn't know the song, right!?!?

    • Furqon Muhammad Can Noel even sing it in the original key nowadays? I’ve been wondering for awhile now since the post-Oasis gigs always have the song in a different key creating a more melancholy version, which isn’t bad per se.
