    • I think we've reached the sauration point on the amount of features that can be added on the os level, the next step would be to integrate ai in the android os itself. Then we'll start seeing major changes again with every new major android os update.

And maybe allow access again to data/obb folders as well as third party app access to microsd card and third party camera apps? 😅

  • Besides the deaign optimisations, it would be good to have features related to build a (generic) Android ecosystem such as pick call from multiple devices, paste clipboard items in second device etc

    • I feel the major version growing up is more of a marking thing now, probably to be on par with iphoneOS... It could've easily still been Android "10.3" (where "9" is 10, and "10" is 12) if they still were "squeezing" not so feature-rish releases into minors like before (4.0, 4.1, 4.2...)

  • 4:50 you can do it now, too. When you're on split screen, there's a star, click it and it saves it on the home screen.

  • Thank you for the update and for flashing the beta for us, I have a quick question regarding the connectivity between the Pixel 8 and Monitors? I think I read somewhere that this option was coming up in the 15 release, I am not sure why this option has not been enable long ago, I would like to use my Pixel 8 as my mobile computer everywhere I go with my USB-C USB and HDMI adapter, it will basically allow me to connect a keyboard and a monitor to my Pixel 8 and from there I don't need to bring my laptop everywhere I go. Thank you again, and please let me know if there are any of these options confirmed for Android 15.

  • If you're a guy who dares experiment and is willing to flash your phone to get this update, you can if you do, but I still wouldn't recommend doing so because this version of Android 15 is still very fresh from Google. I would wait until the Android Beta program begins the Android 15 program, then it'd be much safer since it has been more refined and more bugs squashed.

  • Android 15 my opinion could add more customization & qol features such as... custom font on its ui elements, like if you want headers to have a different font other than 'Google Sans'. more options for existing customizations, lockscreen preferrably depth effect wallpapers where clock is behind the subject like in iOS which google can done with AI dont know if this exists already but being able to decrease the display size without having to adjust it via developer options more AI integration across google apps with Gemini freeform mode where theres no grid on the homescreen a file manager, digitsl wellbeing that actually matches with material you theming

  • Notification Cooldown is hands down the feature I would absolutely LOVE! We all have have that annoying loved one in life whom we cannot mute/ignore LOL who sends 15 messages at once and your phone goes crazy.

    • ​@@Koffiatonah there's still passkeys support in android 14, and I meant using password managers instead or Google's built-in password manager. That's one of the reasons I used a custom rom just for the sake of extra security, only to find out passkeys isn't supported in 90% of the services I use 😭.

  • You're not wrong in mentioning about fragmented experiences for different Google/Pixel devices. Google has already gone down that trench. So it's never too early to start discussing which features will only show up on which devices, and when Google will undoubtedly force their users to start paying for their core services.

  • Can you quickly and easily see your Wi-Fi connection speed at a glance, like you always could before Android 14? In Android 14, we now have to wade through an unreasonable number of options just to see our connection speed! I don't know if that terrible decision was an Android 14 blunder or if it's just OneUI 6. Please tell us it's better in Android 15.

  • What probably can see as a feature is optimizing battery... We want a 4 days battery... Our 2 days battery actually just feels like 1,5 because there are some people who use a lot their phone, so they have to recharge the phone every day...
