Hi
i think budget companies should market it like “[base price for purely the board] to [price for a fully kitted out board] (excluding whatever it doesn’t come with)”
Looks like a cool board. I really like the option to try different mounting styles as well as being able to pick between a rotary knob or a badge. Soldering isn’t my thing so that $99 price is already $120 for a barebone kit without any stabilizers. Throw in stabs, keycaps, and switches, I feel like it will start to get out of budget for most folks.
While I am probably gonna take part in the group buy I think it's disingenuous to call this a $99 from MKC. At minimum you want the hotswap board which is already $20 more. Then we have stabs, keycaps, and switches and a nice cable and it's probably easily over $200. Still, it's a very nice board with great features and lots of options and am looking forward to it!
Honestly really cool keybord, trying to get into the space my self and hopefully get and make something custom for my birthday and this might of just won me over 😊 awesome vid
I follow your channel for almost 3 years now and I still have my keyboard from Hyperx with Aqua switches because you recommended it for me. I still use it xD It’s just nice to see how your channel has grown and that you are still taking your time reading almost every comment and like them, just like 3 years ago. Keep it up!
Thank you!!
Its the same thing as all these GB boards. It's hilarious how KZheadrs quote prices for things like the Zoom keyboards that are $50 below even the lowest price on the website. Plus another $50 for even the most basic config that anyone is going to get. Plus switches, keycaps, etc. It's not a "$150 keyboard". It's a $300 keyboard.
Man this Video was so relaxing
I love ur videos and also, can I suggest a review for a really good budget keyboard. It's called the Klim Shift. It's a 65% with 2.4g, bluetooth and usb type c. It has 19 modes of rgb and its hot swap. U get a basic plastic keycap puller as well as a plastic switch puller. And, as a massive bonus, you get a full set of white keycaps so you can have white or black keycaps, or even a mix! I really hope you review this. Thank You!
Great work! I think you should review the MageGee MK-Box
Not a bad price 🤔 I don’t really know how to solder, so that’s nice that they have a hotswap option!
a huge fan of this channel, can you review langtu gk series? They're really cheap and sounds good
I definitely would have preferred if this was marketed more to not focus on that $99 price tag. The fact that the pricing is already super low for a budget custom is already good enough. But since the initial IC and word of mouth put focus on that $99 price, when they finally released final pricing on every config, people were somewhat disappointed. Realistically speaking, a good chunk of people wanting to buy this, would opt for the hotswap PCB over the solder one... so the $99 expectation already goes out the window.
🎉
Love the videos keep it up
Thanks! Will do!
I'm thinking of buying Gamakay TK75. from phoneix, griffin and pegasus switches Which one do you recommend?
Im been using my qk75, and completely stop diggin at this rabbit hole. But good to know that This market is well saturated now compare to 3-4 years ago.. and I guess these price are reasonable enough.
"nothing about this is easy." I felt that.
You should review the budget epomaker keyboards (th66 and th80) plz
can you review "gamakay tk75" keyboard?
Review the keychron v2 please i may get it but I dunno if it's good. And you're the person that inspired me inspired me in keyboards
It's funny, watching this video, I'm more excited about the KeyTock key caps, haha.
Honestly really cool how nice keyboard are becoming cheaper and cheaper keyboards are becoming nicer. I just cannot get over the sound. All of these more affordable aluminum keyboards have the same poppy/thocky sound profile
What do you stream on?
One of the best keyboard builder!
does this have RGB pcb version? thanks.
Can u costomize a mini keyboard, its like only half of a keyboard. You might know what it is.
is the keychron k6 good for gaming?
I was expecting an exciting cut I feel jebaited. Went plop then in was like what what why you switches in the sockets already.
If you had heard about this keyboard brand, you would’ve got second in the 100 dollar keyboard contest . It’s just Louis is too good
It is like "99$, BUT you have to buy stabs, switches, and keycaps all by yourself"
That’s why it’s a kit. Still, every kit that doesn’t come with stabs is kind of a greedy move, for me
@@santiago.ordonez I remember that there used to a time when a "kit" was simply called a *full keyboard.* And companies used to sell full keyboards.
yoo should try endorfy thock wireless it sounds like its bad but actually it sounds pretty good without mods
do you have a discord server owned by you that i could join?
try upgrading the boyi wk68
This is a bit unrelated but anyone know what happened to the discord? Cant seem to find it and the links seem to be invalid
it's gone for now
can you do builds like your old vids
The question is, this keyboard or a mode design one? The concept seems very similar, how does the overall quality compare?
From what I’ve seen so far mode has the superior and more unique aesthetic as well as zero need for foam. If you want something close to the qk75 then get this one but if you want a more higher end keyboard the mode keyboards are the better pick.
The badge shape looks like the ones of Jris75
@@Jonnychu-tq7hj I believe they are the same company no?
Where did hamaji neo go?😢
No sound test!? Or did I miss it...
these keyboards are so nice but in the end people are just gonna end up getting some trashy gaming keyboard
hey, its a start atleast. If they're just casuals and just starting to get into this part of the comm then just let them be. Its all preferences after all, and they'll learn more , or not by the time goes on. If they like how the gaming board looks or feel its up to them, right?
Also some "trashy" gaming keyboards can be cheaper than 99$, which is still pretty steep for casuals or starters or just regular civilians that is getting a mecha keyboard the first time
Id love a custom keyboard but the outer cases only get shipped in drops they are not always available and then they are like 1000$ i mean these things are mostly wayyyyyy more expensive than any Razer or Logitech keyboard. Also before gamingkeyboards those things used to cost like 15$, the cases are milled i assume and everything else laser cut why is it so expensive?!?!
I had a razer membrane keyboard with full rgb that I got for 30 usd from the warehouse deals and its brand new. Now I have a 70 dollars mechanical keyboard tho. No one’s going to buy custom keyboards especially if they’re new or broke 🤣
@@KrutGemByte it can be cheap but ppl lack tje knowledgr and time to build one
So You habe hot Swap Keyboards that costs about 20 Dollar? I need Thema for Decoration
can u do review on redragon k530 pro
As someone who has never had a custom keyboard, this is an AMAZING option for cheap (99$-120$). Might get this!
This is a good option but wooting is cheap too
There are loads of great options that are cheaper, like the GMK67 if you want a 60% keyboard that you can get for as low as 30 bucks if you're lucky (using it atm and it's great!)
@@kristoffer3000 not even comparable to a gmk67, aluminum vs cheap plastic.
@@swooth5565 the wooting is not a custom keyboard
@@rzary_ Well, yeah... It's a very inexpensive board, it doesn't feel cheap though.
solder good, idk why everyone hates it. 99 for a plateless 75 is pretty good
You need to find switches that is made for soldering and where can you find one.
The keycaps are cool!
Can you make a keyboard off of temu?
Is the discord discontinued?
yes
I know I’m not the target audience, but this is definitely a good entry point.
123$ is still chap for what you get. I think they better would hav marketed that price.
Oof. Both prices are true though. Since only the hotswap set starts at $123 I think it makes sense to grab people at the 123 pricing because a custom hotswap at 123 is still decent. That way when you open the page and see the $99 keyboard, temptation strikes 😈 and you now have a cheaper option with customization access. Muahhahahaha!!
notif gang lets goo le me: with a cheap stock red dragon keyboard full size watching all the keyboard youtubers lol
8:00 EYOO
Hi i have a feeling your a clicky or clack person instead of a deep thocky sound but idk anyway keep up the great work
what keycaps u recommend me? 🤪🤪🤪
Hkfos CIY 84keys Hotswap Keyboard Kit 59.99 PLEASE REVIEW
Can you please find me a budget mechanical keyboard for ps4 and pc🥰i love you
A way to end the sentence that's the title; "... can be quite deceptive.
I am at vacation so I could not watch right away but keep up the great videos and u could.make a video of a deep thocky blue and white custom keyboard. My actual account is lead
Question to the people here in the comment section. Don't be old and lazy and just reply. Do you cover up your keyboard against dust and stuff? Function wise it shouldn't matter, but your keyboard (especially the back plate) does remain clean from dust longer. The problem is that it looks kinda lame to cover it with a piece of cloth or something. My PC setup is part of my interior, so the look matters. What do you guys do?
she got some shoulders like kurt angle feel like she could flip me on my head if I dont buy the ewaste lmao
No KNOB!!!😢
What is the best mechanical keyboard for gaming 👇🏻
Hello Switch and click, Im writing this to every keyboard youtuber that had experience in customs and I need help. I hate my keychronq2 so much that I eanr to sell it anf buy a new board. It sounds so metallic and light. Even with thick pbt keycaps, tape mod and foam I cant make it sound so thocky. i spent 300$ on it and I am very disappointed. I have been thinking about akko mod007PC, MongeekM1 or Keychron V1 but I am scared that they might sound as awful as my q2, even with mods. Ive watched MongeekM1 videos and many other ones and only hear more clacky builds but im looking for thock. Budget may go up to 200$ so mid range budget. Also want south facing and that is avaiable to customizablr souns from clacky to thocky sounds. Really need help or suggestions or some discussions about this cause I have been thinking about this a long time.
Day 1 of asking to mod the cosmic byte astra cb-gk33 if possible*
watched 1 min after release 12 like aswell
I love plastic! I want MORE in every package I receive!
I'm worried You look like my mom ;-;
NAHH
'The paradox of Choice': When people get overwhelmed after they are presented with a large number of options to choose from (2:13) There are literally thousands of possible configurations, although a lot would look absurd; but still, no wonder it's overwhelming, I could see people getting headaches trying to find a configuration if they don't already have a good idea of the look they are after.
🎉
W lit YT
And people are still gonna rush to buy razer keyboards or really mushy membranes
Yo
why so less likes?
nice
Thanks
