Not sponsored. I have been wanting to try ULP switches since visiting the Cherry headquarters last year. Check out the keyboard here! (affiliate): geni.us/bijEV
Hey, I just want to tell you, y'know when you say "Take off-able and Put on-able"? Well, the words for it are "removable" and "attachable", Don't take this in a rude way or anything
I bought this yesterday. To my surprise, typing on it feels much better than I thought it would. I like the spacing of the button layout. iCUE is still a pain in the butt, but it doesn't seem to be as obtrusive as it has been in the past.
I'm glad you like it :) I was surprised at how tactile the switches actually were
I've been using this keyboard for months. They just fixed a weird firmware issue. My volume control still doesn't work wirelessly after the previous firmware update, though. Otherwise, it's been great.
Too bad I've had it since May and never had an issue.
Using the G915 here and I think it's the right thickness for me but I would want something thinner if I were commute or travel with it in a bag so the K100 Air might have me there.
$279 is definitely high but the super low profile on the switches and connectivity features add to the appeal. I bet if it can push higher wpm than the apple board, you'd have a strong competitor. 😊😊
Dang 279?? 💀
For €290 ABS caps? Far too expensive for what is offered and it sounds awful.
I like the thin and stealthy look of this board but for me personally, they need to add tactility to the forehead buttons first for me to be more interested and that is just the start but great video like always Betty. 🤜💥🤛
If you have wrist pain from long gaming sessions then a low profile keyboard is the way to go. I work a physical job with lots of heavy lifting and was finding myself suffering at work from pain in my left wrist from gaming on a tall, older mechanical keyboard. Splurged a bit on a Logitech G915 and the difference is crazy. This one looks very nice as well.
I’m happy that the 915 worked out for you. I had the reverse happen. Low profile, stiff keyboards wore me out. I’m now building my 4th mechanical and they’re anything but low profile.
Cool story -bro- Logitech employee 😛
There is also the Redragon K619 in the 17mm thickness range, don't know if you already knew about it.. it's may be of a lesser build quality but it has almost the same features of pricier models and it allows a minimum of customisation
The apple magic keyboard is the slimmest I have ever used. Lacks some typing feedback but great quality
For no good reason I'm always looking out for the smaller thin mechanical keyboards (hot swap). Azio Cascade Slim, Nuphy Air75, and XVX L75 (might not be hotswap) for examples.
And now there's the Lofree Flow, with Kailh switches. Sounds super promising!
Y’all are amazing and y’all deserve 1mil subs heck maybe even 10mil
I want these switches, I want this form factor. They can take away most of the other features to maybe make it somewhat affordable and I'll be onboard, but I don't need cutting edge perfect wireless connections that make this cost so dang much. I don't need all those built in profiles. And it's just SO expensive.
I'm the crazy person who likes tall keyboards (currently a k8) but I also use a was wrist rest after messing up my right wrist 20+ years ago in a way that makes resting my wrist on a desk super painful real quick. That said I'm very sympathetic of people who need the opposite, as people should use the thing that is the best for them. My brother loves these low profile mechanical keyboards.
maybe your sound quality could be ampped up a little bit if you invest to a good wireless microphone to put it close to you. eliminate the reverb
I have a K70 Low Profile and I like it, but I need an update because the keycaps are not PBT and the paint fell off on some keys. Also, the wrist rest it's plastic (kind of shitty) and start to peel off 😢. All of this in less 1 year of use!! However, it's a great keyboard and do the job for productivity, gaming and good looking RGB. ICue Software is amazing.
I wish, you will soon update videos in 4K,so quality will get better. Other than that, grreat videos!
One of the biggest benefits of a mech keyboard is that if a key stops working you can easily replace it! If you can't take off the keycaps and replace a broken switch what's the point of it being mechanical (and paying the mechanical price)? It might as well be a dome switch, at least then it would likely be a more reasonable price! And that's not to mention the lack of customisation and modding you're unable to do on this. I understand that they had to recoup some of the R&D costs but this is obscenely expensive for what it is
They're perfect for the global nomad with a travel setup, that said, best use and keep the included plastic cover tha comes in the original packaging to protect the keycaps when you travel with it.
I cant be tempted to go for a corsair or a razor just for the ergonomics like this😂
$279 is an outrageous price for this product, especially when the Keychron K5 Pro exists at $110 with RGB, hot-swap switches and VIA support. Probably other low-profile option out there too for more reasonable amounts of money that come without the software boat anchor that is iCue...
Got a K5 for my girlfriend. Not the Pro, and I like it. It use a K70 LP Corsair but use an RK96 at work.
Silicone mat is very nice. Some would say it is even better the kilmat. You should try it and it is very thin 👍🏻
The US uses the US Customary system, which is different from the Imperial system, even though both systems are based on older English units that were never standardized into a formal system.
This keyboard (and the G915) inadvertently introduced me to the custom keyboard scene... I like how it looks...but that price...Is it even worth it? What else is available on the market for that kind of money? Bam. The wonderful and horrifying world of custom keyboards was introduced to me.
corsair keyboards are good but i think i prefer hyper x the only problem is probably the stabilizers
you should do a video on the flux keyboard once it comes it it looks super cool
thats a mouthfull. i like the switches not sure if i can find them in other keyboards since it's cherrys. I dont like the form factor and the price tho.
what low profile keyboard was that that you pulled out and have put in a backpack?
11:14 I couldn't find the link to the notion database! Can't wait to check it out!

this thin keyboard somehow made me think its a heavily edited magic keyboard
I wanted to buy this keyboard, but when I saw the price I gave up. Luckily, nuphy made the air96 and it's less than half the price of this one. Sure, it's not ultra low profile, but you have the typing satisfaction of a low profile mechanical keyboard (yes the spacebar sounds great) and it's hot swappable.
Are there any other keyboard with these switches or similar that isnt an absolute pisstake with cost? Thanks
Could you try the cackbird keyboards? They have most good features and a mind blowing price of $20!
So this is Apple’s Butterfly switches with a spring. The switches that would completely stop working if they got dust or dirt in them. The switches that even Apple realized were a bad idea and went back to scissor.
Love your content. But you need an audio upgrade. Maybe look into a rode wireless lavalier or directional mic
Will be better next time, made a mistake with the AC this time
Would be nice to see what you think about the monsgeek m1 or if you ever tried it :)
Please review the rk m75 and does it have the same software features as the rk h81 and does it also has the audio visualizer because if it does im set on buying it
you should get the ilovbee i61 keyboard and make a review on itt!
For that price, I'd rather build myself a nice custom mechanical hot-swappable keyboard.
her sizing logic is similar that to of Play-Do
i didnt even think this was possible
wow.. I never thought I 'd see something that thin.
Nice Corsair!
"or AAAARE we??" (we are not) This channel has reached peak humor.
That spacebar is a LITERAL deal breaker.
Yeah
Can you PLEASE make a video of all the best portable gaming monitor S within a 100 dollar budget ;)
😀
It looks good until you have to clean underneath the keys
I just wish these keyboards weren't over $200 otherwise I would buy one in a heartbeat. there are some great chicklet keyboards like the MX keys and the magic keyboard for less than half the price.
The In and Out editing in this video really gave me a headache lol. Interesting keyboard for sure!
want you to review Redragon rudra k565 r-1
Funny how the world’s thinnest mechanical keyboard actually also has to use a butterfly style design to get it that thin. I guess Apple wasn’t that crazy when they made their butterfly keyboards after all
My dream keyboard
I can hear the rattle when you put it down, for 279 im good
The apple Magic Keyboard, it’s up there…
I've always liked thin keybs
anyone has used both this keyboard and the logitech mx keys? how is this one compared to the mx keys?
The companies should use these ULP switches in laptops, in my opinion.
They do, I think Alienware has them in some of their laptops
Keychron V1 or JamesDonkey a3?
So what i learned from this video was that u wanted to give me the keyboard
Mousepad is very exiting
my only complaint is that the keycaps are abs
bro imma go crazy on 4k vibro maps that need 62 kps💀💀
wow only 50 hours battery life ? my MXmecha lasts 5 months
Pls review LOFREE flow low profile kwyboard
Corsair actually makes decent keebs
I got say my first foray in to mechanical keyboard was the Original K95 Platinum. Still going strong and looks new from when I bought it. Man I couldn’t believe how much I paid for a keyboard. Now I’m forcing myself to use a 40% and recently got a Keychron for gaming. But when I get more comfortable with electronics, soldering, etc… I’m treat first keeb bae right.
Looks like a great keyboard. Too bad they put the numpad on the wrong side.
Apple Magic Keyboard has left the chat
Nah, custom keyboards have ruined me. I don't think I would ever buy something I couldn't modify
It might be super flat, but it looks huge for some reason...
At this point, may as well use a membrane.
0.67 inches is still pretty good, right?
I don't know if someone have told you u are pretty but you are, and i also love your content im subed and liked with all notos. an i wanted to let you know to keep up the great work. Hope you get at least 1k likes bc you deserve it!
Thank you so much!!
I've tried this keyboard in a store and it just feels like a laptop's membrane keyboard
No way lol, I have a laptop and this feels nothing like it.
I see you like Govee or Hue RGB products as well.
I think we use Nanolite tubes, the mini ones
Currently 2 or 3 keyboards have these switches and none of them are TKL. 😭😭😭
;( wish they made smaller sizes
id buy a 75 or 65 version
Bro that is so thin lol its thinner then my finger
can you please review dustsilver and lofree keyboards?
Dustsilver next week :) not sure about Lofree, I can reach out to them
@@SwitchandClickOfficial looking forward to uour dustsilver review
@@SwitchandClickOfficial looking foward!!
@@SwitchandClickOfficial yess dustsilver pls!!!
So it's basically a macbook keyboard with a mechanical switch?
In many ways, but not all. Uses a butterfly switch, like Apple did for a bit. But with steel wings and spring mechanism, not plastic and membrane.
ill stick with my mx keys...i have tried mechanical and i just dont 7nderstand how anyone would want such an obnoxious sounding or feeling keyboard. id take membrane over mechanical n e day, but the scissor low pro keys on the logi mx board are so nice and its far cheaper...
It’s so funny she has the hipyo desk mat
Common W
is it a membrane keyboard?
It's a metal butterfly mechanism with a spring. Definitely not a membrane.
I hate thin keyboards because thick ones sound soo good
Sound doesn’t matter at all if you’re wearing audio peripherals.
@Notuuu Gaming hes fancy (high ego)
@notuuuhes fancy (high ego)
@notuuuhes fancy (high ego)
He’s rich big baller
Shame that u can't tear down the keyboard for cleaning.
I literally just finished wrestling with iCue before watching this video 😪
Review nuphy field 75 come on 😁
I feel terrible saying this. I have thousands of dollars of custom mechanical keyboards and my favorite keyboard is the Apple Magic Keyboard because the thinness makes it the most comfortable to use all day…
That keyboard is a bit tooooooo thin for me
When will you make a youtooz figure!!!!!!!!
Not sure I support this profile with non removable key caps. Keychron has a low profile keyboard with better switches.
it’s thin
you should upgrade this keyboard
I am a keyboard lover in China. I found that you did not comment on many Chinese local keyboard brand videos. The most commented in your video is only the rk keyboard. In the past year, the Chinese local market has released many with super high cost performance. And high-experience keyboards, such as vgn s99, rk r75, infiverse75, rk r98, tarantula f75, etc., they all have configurations that only cost thousands of RMB before, such as gasket structure, single-key slotted positioning board, single-key Key slot pcb, silicone bottom pad, sandwich cotton, shaft under pad, etc. I hope to see you explain these domestic cost-effective keyboards like foreign netizens. There are many, many keyboards under $50 in China that feel and sound great. Keyboards range from $15 to $30, to $45 and even better. I found that the Chinese local channel '@in2808 '‘Chinese name in外设’ on KZhead has such a review video, you can watch his video first, if you are interested, please contact me, although I have translated a large part of this section by Google.
This is his channel id UC5ST1VqT8xf2ZFpXTCimhzw
Am I the only one getting motion sickness from the camera constantly zooming in and out, and moving around all the time
