One of the more realistic reactions from a thug. No monolog, no chit chat, just straight up pulls a gun and shoots.
Even thugs aren't that dumb, to gun someone down in the middle of the street for simply getting out of their car. Fuckin' stupid.
Exactly
Of those who feel very manly for having a weapon on their waist.
you cant actually be serious, can you? they wouldnt shoot a guy just for the sake of it when theyre JUST STARTING to scrap a car. the whole reason they went out that night was to make money, realistically they wouldnt throw that all away to shoot some random guy too drunk to ID them and not even fighting back. yall need to stop getting your idea of criminals from hollywood movies.
Not to be confrontational… But who do you know that would pull a trigger that fast over some rims? The only reason that happened was because we knew Logan wouldn’t die. I say this respectfully: I have spent my life in the gutter. I know a lot of people with multiple felonies. You’d have to be a psychopath to risk a murder charge over petty theft and his boys would have been trippin that he did that. It’s entertaining for a movie but in real life people don’t blast that easy.

I also wished he'd just kill all of them, leave not one thug alive before ripping their entire van into shreds. Of course, he may try if he were still young when this happened.

This was one of few literal jaw-dropping moments I've had in a theater. It let you know immediately this wasn't rated PG-13 anymore. Hugh Jackman's scream is so iconic. I have no idea why he wasn't cast as Joel in HBO's The Last of Us.
Huge Jacked Man might be too expensive maybe? 🤔
@@AC-iz7ehto be fair, Pedro Pascal is no string bean thanks to Narcos and Mandalorian. But I firmly believe Jackman was the perfect alternative. Prisoners is another perfect portrayal of Joel Miller.
That scream of rage hit so hard... I honestly became angry with him that these thugs are fucking with him. That's because Charles was in the limo, and the limo is not bulletproof.

Badass scene but also really sad when you think about it, imagine someone like wolverine with a fearsome reputation being at an age where he just wants to be at peace. he really didn't want to kill them even after being shot down.
it similar Kratos had rage in younger himself until he get old he just want be peace and don’t want kill gods if gods want get rid of kratos he had no choice murder gods as brutality….. same for Logan…..
Yeah you can see that until he went into rage mode he did not strike at them lethally. He stabbed one guy in the arm and slashed another in the chest. It would be painful but not deadly. He just wanted them to leave him alone. It wasn't until they made him mad that he started killing them.
But put a hole in the car and he's happy to air 'em out.

I wish we could have had this Logan in all the X-Men movies. You can't have claws and not rip fools apart with no blood 😂. They gave us a little bit in X2 but there was still no blood 😂
It's the tragedy of xmen. Its made for kiddywinks.
Difference between an R and PG-13 rating.
Bro the cartoons are even WORSE... Logan just uses his claws for taking down robots, or like an item in Zelda on various contraptions.
I'd say the X-Men movies had decent level of violence, it's more than what you would expect in MCU movies. Wolverine doesn't cut people in half or anything visceral, but he clearly slashes and stabs even throught the original trilogy, there's no need for absolute gore fests considering the general tone of the X-Men. Except for Logan, a spin off that took the liberty for an R rating.
@@peterclarke7240 Endgame is made for kiddywings lol. You probably think Peppa Pig is something for adults lol
I love how brutal this movie is right off the bat. I feel like it understands the tone of the wolverine character immediately because his world always feels so bleak. Especially in the future when the X men are long dead and he’s just by himself.
I like when he throws the tire wrench at the car, even though it’s driving away. Gives off major “And-STAY-off-my-lawn!” vibes.
you give a dumass vibe
its clear he still heals much slower and weaker then before but mostly his healing factor was now just a durability increase, he could take ridiculous amounts of punishment in this film for any mutant and still live. I believe thats the only reason he could withstand charles seizures and all the wounds he took by the end and still fight. Gotta love wolverine and how well he was portrayed in his own unique way in the movies while staying true
That and his metal skull that gave him a lot of protection against psychic powers, thats why they put Charles in that water tank in the beginning of the movie.
That is the REASON 🤨🤨🤨🤨 I mean why do you think logan and Laura are the only people that can move whe Charles is having his seizures
@@momo23461its the healing, not the adamantium. Lauras bones werent bonded with it, only her claws. If her skeleton was she'd be an angry garden gnome for 300 years.

🤓🤓
You don’t realize until 1:48 that he was trying so hard not to lose his shit😂Wolverine’s enemies, whether big or small, always have a sure fire way of making him mad and if they don’t, they make the mistake of finding it💀

1:18 you can see the chrome flakes he was talking about, what a detail
You knew this movie's tone was gonna be different when Logan put 3 blades through a guy's brain
In comicbook bloody movies, usually this type of scenes look cheesy and fake, for example scenes in Watchmen, even the modern ones like Deadpool's look fake, but here those look so real... The scenes are not exaggerated and look very realistic, well done James Mangold
Agreed.
Well Not Just him RSP did some stunning CGI Work in this scene
Zach Snyder isn't the creative type he literally made the Watchmen film a scene by scene remake of the comic. With some tweaks same with the 300 film he's kinda hacky like that, so I don't really fault that movie for looking how it looked. Now Deadpool 1 I liked the action scenes they were very realistic in some ways except for the shooting 3 guys in a row part a bullet doesn't travel in a straight line after impact except maybe a 50. Cal but other then that it was alright. Deadpool 2 was definitely on some other ish though
@@hilriekemp it was scene by scene but he made each and every scene worse, cut out some important bits, and then changed some aspects of it to be worse than the original. Snyder is an absolute hack and the worst big budget director in Hollywood IMO.
@@mr.doctorcaptain1124 im with you on that. And yeah the Man of steel was terrible, he literally had his story boarders create a graphic novel. And he shot the movie the exactly how the artist's drew it up, dude's all style and no substance. That scene where superman was rescuing the flood victims and he literally just hovered above them arms crossed was stupid. Superman would have just saved them he's not going to waste time trying to flex or look cool
I remember seeing this scene and almost crying. Wolverine, the man who fought an entire army of ninja, giant robots, drones of swat members and other mutants with insane powers…..reduced to this. Barely able to fight off a couple of punks.
It wasn't that he could barely fight them off he didn't want to that's why he gave them a chance but they chose to send him into his berserker rage so they were dead once the claws came out
This and the opening fight scene in The Batman are the two best opening fight scenes in a superhero movie. Both grounded and gritty which set the tone of the movie perfectly
The growl when he's getting stomped let's you know he's still there.
This is one of those “fuck around and found out” moments. 😅

I really like the thug logic here. They saw this old guy tank a close range shotgun blast at the midsection, stand up looking like it just mildly annoyed him, and decided "yup, fisticuffs it is". I'd have just apologized and moved on...
Logan was only going for maiming blows, hitting the arms. But when the thugs messed up the limo he got mad and went for kills.
And Rightfully So😂😂
This brutality is exactly how Wolverine should've been depicted from the start. I'm glad they finally got it right and pulled off such an outstanding film with Logan. I just hope he's as brutal in Deadpool 3, but if Disney interferes, they're going to ruin it.

When I first went to the theater to see this, I didn’t know what to expect. But when this scene came on the ENTIRE theater went silent. Like this really set the tone for the rest of the movie. It’s like we are all in shock because we never seen the wolverine on the big screen with this much gore and violence and use of extreme profanity. Super badass ending to the trilogy. I wish I could see it for the first time again. My heart was literally racing after this scene!
This is what excites me about DP3. We’ll get to see “this”Wolverine in his prime!
1:48... even being so weakened, when he goes into berserker rage you better run...
When I saw this in theaters, knowing it was rated R, I remember laughing out loud, literally at 1:54. When he let out a scream and went wolverine on these dudes, that's when I realized I was in for a good film. The first two wolverine movies and all the x-men movies and shows, whenever Logan attacks someone, sparks go flying every where. I was so excited to see a realistic representation of what happens to a human when adamantium claws rip through flesh.
The uppercut always gets me. 😬
No one, literally no one can ever be Wolverine but Hugh Jackman.
I still can't believe these dudes would straight-up murder somebody over rims. Bruh.

There's people who kill eachother over shit that you or me throw away in the trash... So yeah.

Not too far-fetched, people are getting mugged/murdered for sitting around and minding their own business
I really hope that Deadpool 3 will bring Logan's R rated brutality when he's in his prime
What make this scene so bad ass for me he's old, tired, broken up inside and outside..... Yet getting pissed off enough he's f******everyone up.

Its right up there with the best of the best opening scenes, I ve ever seen
Best opening scene of any superhero films
This scene gets you emotional knowing not a single one of them would have survived if he was in his prime
Excellent "scene setting" storytelling. Tells you everything you need to know about the character so quickly and efficiently. No need for unnatural exposition.
I loved how this intro immediately throws off the audience for what's to come further in movie. Like as if the point-blank shotgun blast isn't painful enough to see, here comes the death and suffering train wherein what's left of his loved ones rode on and went as did he.
The reason why Wolverine's suit has sleeves is because Hugh Jackman suffers from skin cancer so he has to cover his body as much as possible to prevent it from happening
I love this movie, Watched it so many times. Rare for me to watcha movie over and over now a days. Some times I will revisit a movie from time to time but this one was more often.
1:17 what is this glittery metal going on here? Is it metal coming off the barrel because it hit Logan’s adamantium spine?

Can't wait to see more of this in Deadpool 3! It's gonna be crazy.

How to make a good opening: 1. Have the same old hero owning noobs 2. Meanwhile have him handicapped by an objective 3. Make him fail the said objective
Been a long time fan of Xmen. Started watching the cartoon after school back in the 90's and Wolverine was always my favourite. More proof that Logan is one of if not the most gritty and raw superhero films that will ever be made
Dredd is pretty fantastic and it came out five year before Logan did.
What’s funny is that this movie is essentially a “Last of Us” movie without being called that
In the comics wolverine is 5'3" 400pds with metal bones.. you can't kick someone like that and not be injured.. and or move then on their knees...
When an opening scene sets the tone IMMEDIATELY.
The tire iron throw at the end gets me.
If someone gets up after getting shot by a double barrel sg at point blank, I don’t think is a good idea to fight him😂
He having a bad day.
Bad Century
Everything about this scene was great, except for one thing... these guys almost certainly wouldn't have laughed or even tried to fight him once he popped his claws out. In this movie, apparently everyone knows who Wolverine is, mostly from comic books and retellings of legends of the X-Men. It would be like mugging someone and then realizing it's Tom Hanks. These dudes would have immediately apologized and probably asked him for an autograph.
1:50 They've awakened THE BEAST!!! When he's in that state, he'll kill anything that moves!
Logan, "I would like to RAGE!"
Aging logan with berserk is best for setting the screens on fire
Can we appreciate how bloodier this movie is than the previous ones? I mean Logan's claws are stained with lots of blood while the other movies, his claws have little to no blood.
I can not tell you how amazing it felt it in the theatre to finally see Wolverine that was no longer censored by PG-13. This was definitely intended to tell the audience, “Hey, this is what you wanted right?”. My theatre was clapping and cheering at this scene.
