  • The “it wasn’t me, it wasn’t me” was so sad because when X-24 came downstairs Logan already knew what had happened, and he realized that he Charles might have died thinking Logan snapped and killed him, Logan was so worried because he wanted his friend to know that he wouldn’t do that to him

    • It's interesting, because in the script it reads: "You can't nurture rage. You must simply design it from scratch...like God did." I wish they had never cut that final anecdote. I feel like it really gave us a window into Rice's mind and personal motives; putting his pride and hubris on full display. But from what I can gather from this film as is, they probably didn't want to stray too far into 'over the top evil scientist with a God complex' territory.

Where did he ever show any affection towards her, excluding near the end of the Film when he actively comes to rescue her? At the Beginning when they all try to escape his Hideout in Mexico he literally tries to drive off with Charles in the Car, effectively not giving a shit about leaving her until she jumps on the Car. He then proceeds to scold her off almost all the time and is generally unfriendly towards her. He only sees the Weapon X Programm in her at first and i don't know if you know, but he hates what he was under Weapon X so to a extend he hates Laura because her whole existence is based on what he hates about himself. I really don't know where you get the Father like Affection thing and that he tries to always protect her, when he straight up abandoned her on two occasions during the Movie in Favor of protecting/helping his real close friend. Laura even said it herself for Gods sake. Remember when Logan said that all the people he loves die around him and Laura answered something along the lines "well then i'm safe."

  • I really like how they chose to have a "supervillain" who represents Logan's worse inner demon, his more rage-filled animalistic side he's been trying to suppress. What better way than to have Logan fight his own worse self in his final journey? In fact, I actually do love how they chose to use lesser-known villains for this film like Dr. Zander Rice and X-24 (who granted was created for this film), rather than going for a more well-known and popular supervillain, so as to keep with the film's 'character-driven study'. Sometimes proves that your superhero movies doesn't always needs a popular supervillain who wants to take over or destroy the world.

Like here, when X-24 became enraged , it became feral , refusing to listen to the requests and demands of its creator , even though he’s the only person X-24 listens to.

    • Marvel only became the " fun" universe after the Disney acquisition. Growing up Marvel was always the darker of the two because the abstention against killing was never really a part of the characters' code of ethics. No matter how dark Batman is, most of his iterations require him to abstain from killing and cooperate with law enforcement. Most mutants are regarded as outlaws and have their own codes. Some kill, some steal. Some Xmen are former villains. Some Xmen BECOME villains.

    • @@KazukiVA It is both. Every single DC character has a fucked up tragic backstory and the interactions are most of the time brutal and violent.

  • X24 is truly everything Logan fears he is, the dark reflection of himself, a manifestation of every nightmare he has ever had about himself

  • This scene feels straight out of a horror movie

  • X-24 in this film is just the studio's way of saying, "We could have done a younger wolverine movie, but we know what's best." And they did, Logan is by far the best 'X-men/Wolverine' movie.

    • They need to do a horror movie called x23 where it's like the terminator hes hunting down a family or something and they are running away from him and the scary thing is unlike terminator he is indestructible which makes him even more scary to go against

  • ...this movie....this freaking movie. From the ups and downs of the X-men trilogy, the wtf of Origins, the pretty good of the Wolverine, the okay of Days future past, to the triumph of First Class....then to this.....hooboy. Throughout this movie I felt so....so many dang emotions, mostly on the sad side but with a glimmer of hope and happiness here n there. And then this part happened....was like a part of me died with it [and another part later on at the end]...
