  • An entertaining video when played at 1.5 speed instead of normal! That record store looked more like a Big Lots, and I had no idea that there was a Margaritaville in SF!!!!

  • Starting to wonder if records are just a cope for a lot of us to stave off angst, despair, sadness, loneliness, and depression. It almost seems as if it's not about the music. It all reminds me of that Graham Parker song, Big Man on Paper.

  • I envy your mobility. My first Peet's experience was in Greenwich Village in the early '90s, I believe. I've never looked back. I think I've found it at QFC in Seattle, but I usually just order it by mail.

  • Interestingly, the founders of Starbucks were USF students and they learned the coffee import business from Peet's Coffee founder Alfred Peet.

  • BEF I think stands for British Electronic Foundation and is tangential to Heaven 17, probably pretty good mid-early eighties dance stuff. Just for your info. Saw Jethro Tull and Blue Oyster Cult, one the first big arena shows I ever saw, 1979?

  • This may be a first where I know more about an album than you. Being a fan of Tull, I bought the album A when it came out. It's not among their best but it has a few memorable tunes like "Crossfire", "Working John, Working Joe", and "4.W.D. (Low Ratio)". Tull's first dozen or so albums are solid with a few that are superb, i.m.o.
