@@quigglebert Hey, that's wrong. They have been winning the turret launch challenge for 40 years running! But, honestly, they would slag WW2 German tanks, if the German ones didn't break down first or run out of fuel on the way.
@@jlawsl neither were paticulary good at actually building the tanks they designed, Germans had to go back to the original factory as nothing was standardised, the factory that produced 50% of t34s was given so much production to complete they bodged the vast majority of the vehicles they produced
Soviet tanks are the absolute worst. German's are better
@Recon Zero Debatable, lack of standardisation and over complicated engineering killed more big cats than anything else, the 3s and 4s were alright
Finally somebody who understands how to somewhat play a modern tank. He uses speed, stealth and his tech advantage and so on and stays on the outside and uses his superior vision and weapons to flank and shoot inwards without endangering himself. He doesn’t rush in like many others. He stays on the outside and picks them off one by one without them knowing where he is that’s how you should play this.

Agaisnt older tanks* people underestimate ww2 tanks in firepower, a tiger I could maybe even destroy a modern armor, however the tech in modern tanks is way better, like IR view and that, the speed is also improved a lot, about stealth, i dont really know if they are more stealthy like they do less noise or something, maybe they dont appear on radars, however i doubt tanks from ww2 have radars
@@Alguien644I think by stealth he means the ability to shoot and quickly change position, and being able to shoot from so far away without being seen.
In other videos they are in open fields which isn’t fair when they can all see the abrams or whatever other modern tank
This, MBTs were never intended to tank enemy fire since the battlefields and weapons of the Cold War were expected to be high lethality. The emphasis was instead put on an MBTs fire control systems to increase first hit probability (thus more firepower) and mobility to move between firing positions which maximises survivability far more than physical armour protection ever could.

great video, the chaos round would have been winnable if the T-90s had stayed put in defensive positions, in my opinion...
Yeah if they waited a little longer the german tanks would have probablly rushed and then leading to the T-90's win, but that wasnt the case i guess.
I think that's because previous challenge videos are full of comments saying "modern tank is just in a defensive position, of course modern tank would have win. what if modern tank move?"

Hi, id like to ask why you decided to use atgms against the mäuse?
I hope the developers will add all versions of the T-90. Now there is a T-90A (2004-2011) in the game. It was cool to see the original T-90 (1992-2004), the upgraded T-90AM (2011-2019) and the modern T-90M (2020-present). The T-90, T-90A and T-90AM are upgraded versions of the same tank. The T-90M has a completely new turret, gun, engine, electronics and a new ammunition arrangement.

@@billcollecter4728 Why not? 1. USSR/Russia is one of the most popular nations in the game. 2. It is not necessary to make them mandatory for research. Let them be in the same cell with the base modification located. Or there may be premium ones. 3. Some tanks are quite interesting and very different from other modifications. Here are examples: 3.1 The original T-80 (more like the T-64 on steroids). 3.2 Ukrainian T-84 "Oplot" (there are no Ukrainian tanks in the game now). 3.3 The Russian experimental tank "Black Eagle", which was supposed to continue the T-80 branch. He has a 152 mm gun. It would be a good premium tank. 3.4 Russian BMPT "Terminator" and "Terminator-2". This is an IFV based on the T-72 with lethal anti-tank guns and anti-tank guns. In the game, players also like to fight against tanks on anti-aircraft guns, and this tank was created for this. 3.5 T-95. It was created as a T-90 receiver, but the development was canceled due to the adoption of the UN convention in 1995, which prohibited devices that were installed on this tank. The main feature of the tank is a laser weapon, which was banned. The laser beam blinded the guidance systems of enemy tanks. The matrices of the cameras were falling into disrepair, so the crew saw only a white screen on the monitor. And if you look through ordinary optics or just in the direction of the tank, the crew could lose their eyesight altogether. It's like looking at the sun through a telescope. It could be a new game mechanic. Other features of the tank are a crew in an armored capsule in the hull, a turret without a crew, and a 152mm gun. 3.6 And of course, the T-14 Armata. Not gonna lie Muffin. These new modern versus old videos are amazing to watch. I wish you could see from our eyes how much more entertaining it is to see these modern beasts flex and ‘risk’ their weak spots. Makes the game play more in thralling as you know there is a chance for a lucky flanker. It is shows the skill of the modern tank players more, and shows the significant power difference better as well. Thank you for listening too us, I cannot wait for the next video!

Not to mention top tier tanks literally have to put zero effort into aiming and spotting. So they can pretty much just focus on positioning and trying to get cheeky snipes from across the map on a moving target.

Would be great to see, modern day axis tanks (Leopard 2, Ariete and Type 10) against WW2 allies tanks Or modern day allies tanks (Abrams, Challenger, Leclerc) against WW2 axis tanks Like 1 Leopard 2A6, 1 C1 and 1 Type 10 against a swarm of Shermans, T34s, Cromwells,...

@@ThunderWithMuffin Would also love to see modern Chinese tanks vs WWII Japanese ones, reversal of the actuality in WWII where the Chinese had little to no antitank weapons and had to use grenades and explosives in near-suicidal attacks.

it honestly felt like they threw the first round. not accusing them of that, just the feeling of the play. Its 8 tanks, 2 scouts, and multiple vehicles with long range capability. There was only one way to beat a T-90 there, and that is teamwork.
I mean honestly they didnt expect the modern tank to play.... like a modern tank for once and not just rush them instead of keeping its distance and popping in and out when taking shots

WW2 AA vs modern attack helicopter (your nations of choice) Youd probably have to turn off unlimited ammo for this to work as atgms are op otherwise

Great video! I think these videos shows that it's a combination of skill and luck that determine how a game goes. Of course getting surrounded by 20 tanks even if they are 60 years behind in technology doesn't help

Would love to see how a few of the well- known Char B's of France would have done against a horde of German World War I tanks. Considering how well they did against their counterparts in World War II before France was defeated.
The German WW1 Tanks would get stuck in mud before reaching the Chars lol.
in practice a modern tank doesn't work without the engine running, this includes the Russians, it neutralizes the engine and the whole tank becomes a paperweight
I am quite angry about comments on "Boo, Russian tank bad" when in reality, tanks can be ineffective due to ever changing war environment and advanced military tech like anti tank rocket. You have a point @Heero Guy Even when America going to Syria, their M1 Abrams were also broken in there
@@Brigadium75 exactly, all you need to do is neutralize the engine, it doesn't matter if the tank is russian or american, everything in it will stop working, now when i do that i don't know how to answer, i only know that in games that say simulators (even in ArmA) this is not simulated correctly
@@HeeroYuy180 broken engine in military shooter isn't implemented really well or not even to balance out the game because once the players know that shooting at engine can fully stun the tank, the game would be broken and unbalanced
@@Brigadium75 but at the same time it would be realistic and if the game follows the proposal of being a simulator, then it should be logical to implement it. PS: this doesn't work with WWII tanks

All six of the T-90s would've survived if they had just stayed in their defensive positions and let the remaining vehicles come to them.

This are honestly pretty amazing to watch. Bit of a suggestion How long do you think the Japanese military of WW2 would perform against its modern equivalent.
Modern Japan wouldn't be able to invade ww2 Japan. They'd take out their air force with modern jets, but ground units wouldn't budge the huge numbers of infantry without nukes

The main reasons why the T90 is so dominant, is because Germany just can't get a visual on him. The T90 has thermal optics which allows the player to see from much further away. And because the T90 is much faster, Germany has a hard time pinpointing the T-90's location.

The real USA already did that during Desert Storm and Irak. Didn't go well for the guys in T-72s

Without the thermals though, it would be a VERY different game.
Unfair advantage: You gave the Germans a panther (wtf) as well as another shitty vehicle that god knows what it is. Secondly, you let the T-90 use thermals if it was damage the Germans could have won but letting Turny use thermals was extremely unfair. You should do a redo but without APC and not tank tanks or thermals

The defend the point wasn't really a defend the point tbh. The T-90A was playing in a more defensive way.

I suggest you should have the Char 2C and 2C bis against top tier vehicles, with the challenge being how the old supertanks would fare up against modern tech

Kinda reminds me what I pulled off one Hide and Seek game: Stug III G hiding from a TURMs. I managed to be the last left (we were on Fire Arc) and basically popped out of the trench, fired into the TURMs side to show him where I was and killed him... The entire chat began to laugh the hardest I think they've laughed

For a balance of this test you we're supporsed to remove rocket projectiles for t-90 tanks, since they too OP for WW2 era tanks and this totally no fair (especially consider their guidance system)

I think the encounter is absurd, since he has an advantage with night vision, he is like a sniper shooting ducks. besides the German tanks, they are only bot, they only advance.
Before I watch im just gonna make a guess and say that the T-90s are gonna win most of them because if the top tier leos have trouble killing them I dont think less modern tanks will have much of a chance
