I Built 200 Hours in Creative Mode

I accidentally just spent 200 hours on a Minecraft build. It wasn't the goal, but sometimes that's just how the cookie crumbles.

  • BONUS LORE: Use this to help with your lore suggestions! Make sure to write your OWN comment below. (Not as a reply on this comment). It makes it easier for me to find later. The Cloudrunner District is the other half of Brassholt. It is the main residence of the Cloudrunners, who are the sailors that operate steampunk airships. They are mainly tasked with transporting goods and protecting the Bank’s interests. Every part of Brassholt is wealthy, but this District varies from the occupants of the Banking Guild. The Bank is inherited, aristocratic wealth, while Cloudrunner fortunes are all earned from scratch. As a result, these sailors are rugged, savvy and hardworking. Hope this helps give you a better idea of the area! I look forward to reading your comments!

  • For the Cloudrunner district there should be another secret organization that works in opposition to the Order of Coin and Cloak so both sides of the city are in a Cold Civil War. It could add a lot of intrigue to the city, and also works because the Cloudrunners earn their fortune while the Banking Guild inherits it. This would provide plenty of area for ideological differences between the two halves of the city even if they work symbiotically.

I wanted to try and build my fantasy world in minecraft too a few years back but I realise that it is impossible for my world because it has multiple universes, realms, dimensions etc. Plus, im not a builder, Im a writer. The fact that you can build such a masterpiece with such lore is amazing! Im sure your story would have been great and I wished there was a way for me to read it but this is great too! I love the builds and the amount of work you put into it. I also admire how much thought you put into the lore. I find it interesting on how you use real world cultures for your world. Mad respect man. I love how you open the table for your fans to pitch their own ideas as well, I will certainly try and do that for my own channel. Keep up the great work, mate! Little note: Please do take care of yourself! Your personal health is important too. Eat healthy, sleep well and make sure to get some fresh air!

  • Lore Idea: Having the other side of the city being a poor/poverish slum (in comparison to the other side), might create a cool dystopian type city with interesting political and physical interactions between both sides! You could even add a story of a bank heist where some people from the slums try to steal the great treasure from the massive vault in the bank

    @OhHiMark_JTC@OhHiMark_JTC4 ай бұрын
    • Very interesting! That’s kinda where I’m going with it, but less of impoverished and more rugged. All of Brassholt is wealthy, but the Bank side is more inherited, aristocratic wealth. The Cloudrunner District is where the airship sailors (the cloudrunners) live and work. Their wealth is earned, not inherited. Think of it like old money vs. new money

      @shovel241@shovel2414 ай бұрын
    • @@shovel241 Sounds amazing! Actually having one side as inherited wealth verses earned wealth is a extremely cool twist on the, admittedly, overdone trope in fantasy that I suggested 🔥 (I still love it anyway despite that 😅)

      @OhHiMark_JTC@OhHiMark_JTC4 ай бұрын
    • That’s a great idea! Adding impoverished slums at the base of the city would fit with the overall narrative of the story. The Alpha’s have been, for the most part, depicted as the antagonist or at least the most powerful of the factions. Hence presenting the largest threat to every other faction. Their empires been built upon aggressive colonialism(the dragon university), and ruthlessly eradicating their enemies(the genocide of the Omegas). The slum area could hold the less…ideal side of the Alpha’s. Places where the nobles come to indulge in drugs, brothels, slave trafficking, gambling, shady dealings, corruption, etc. Or on the other side of the coin, the undesirables are locked away underground. People afflicted or cursed by some incurable magic disease or something of that sort. I literally stumbled upon this channel yesterday and binge watched all the mega build videos so I don’t fully know how “safe” or family friendly you want to keep the content, but I think it would be an amazing addition to the fantasy world you’ve created so far. Making a large impoverished area would create more creative opportunities for lore development and building. Drawing inspiration from Arcane as well, you could do something similar to Zaun. Another really interesting area I think you could look at is the sewer area (subterranean shunning grounds) under the Leyndell capital from the game Elden Ring.

  • I really feel like a wealthy city like this should have some underground slums with people that did not manage to keep up and that are leeching off of the rich people above (Yes, I also like Arcane). This could be combined with a sewer system and some underground caves. Maybe the magical runes in the mountains reach in here as well and can be used to power some contraptions that the underpeople built. The assassins of the Order of Coin and Cloak would have some bearing on what is going on down there, but I like the idea of a new society forming that aims to undermine the power that order has over the city. They would have spies in the city that constantly try to find out what the plans of the Order are, and if they can interfere in any way. It doesn't seem like this is likely to work tho :). Awesome video!

I don't think it would be completely dwarfed either as it's 325 blocks long. It is very much a work in progress but I had ideas to build all sorts of things into the large Airship. It's got a bridge, a sky deck kinda thing on top of the balloon, three engine rooms, a workshop, a large cargo bay big enough to build survival farms in, crew quarters, guest cabins, signal flare launchers (fireworks) plus a whole bunch of other things. I also think it would be interesting to include repurposed airships for the Cloudrunner district, seeing as they created a life from nothing. They could have repurposed blimp canvases for pavilions, a scrapyard, and even ground transportation made using the engines and gears of the blimps (maybe a metro or train system to fit with the steampunk idea). • @@shovel241 Lore idea: The city obtains energy from a type of tiny supernova, the flying ships from the cloud group you mentioned drawing out the energy to power the city. Maybe you could modify the black hole thing from the AI terrain episode and add an arcane seal/shell to keep it controlled, making it the central point of the cloud group.

  • I will never understand how there are people like you out there who are so talented. How do you even come up with these things? How do you have the skill and creativity to make things like this. I've spent an insane amount of time building in this game since 2011 and I'll NEVER be able to do what you are doing and have done. You are very successful, and you still deserve way more attention than you've gotten.

  • That circle montage was so sick! Here are my ideas: for the cloud district its gotta be a floating port that the ships dock on for the center piece right? what makes it float and what that looks like could be a fun thing to play around with I think. also maybe its circle as well!
