Just bought a 325i that was quoted as needing this replaced at the mechanics for a crazy high price. With this now I’m just going to buy one and do it myself! Thanks a ton!
I have an E83 X3 with this same M54B30 engine. Your videos are the most detailed and easy to follow of any I've found on the M54. Keep them coming and thanks for the informative video!
Thanks👍👍
I have a 2005 BMW X5 which was throwing the 4X4 / brake /eml codes and going into limp mode.
Finally! A good video on getting to that idle control valve! Only after watching your video did I realise there was a rubber hose behind the ICV, the rest of the videos had shitty lighting and bad camera angles. I'm going to be cleaning my ICV and replacing the DISA and both rubber boots.
Thank you so much for this
rocking the free world. good job ! tempo, density, voice, description, volume all good stuff. good production.
Awesome!
Nicely done. Used this video on a newly acquired 02 525i with a bit of a lumpy idle and can feel improvement. I gutted the DISA before cleaning the ICV though (in preparation of G.A.S. kit), so not sure if that'd change much too.
So my car would start in one tumble, but would die immediately, giving it some gas would help, but the moment you let off the gas, the car died immediately. I have the weird little 6 cylinder M52b20 in my e46, but the procedure was identical on my car. I removed the ICV and it looked clean, there didn't appear to be any real carbon buildup in it, but when I shook it, it was solid as a rock. Sprayed the crap out of it with Carb Cleaner, used damn near the whole can, it took quite a bit of spraying before it came loose, and the amount of crap lodged somewhere inside there that was locking it up was shocking for how clean it looked before.
Thanks for the great video. I could get my ICV serviced on my e39 520. You explained very clearly step by step making job very easy. Car is also idling smooth
Used your instruction to solve my erratic idle on my 2002 525i. I had to remove a couple extra hoses to make reinstalling the cleaned idle control valve easier but no big deal. Problem solved! Very good video. Thanks.
Very well done.
Great video thank you!
Great video, I have a question. Do I need to take it out to clean it Or I I can just spray the cleaner when I expose the inlet of IAC valve?
Thank you very much for the video. It helps us a lot.
So did this fix the p1093?
Thank you SO much! My e60 520i stopped when i put it in drive or reverse and didnt run clean, it hesistated while driving and died if i revved in park. This fixed it! Lots of love!
Awesome video! Love all your videos!! Question, did you clean the DISA valve before you put it back in?
